Hardcore Fitness Maniac Hotties for 8/4

I did do Ab Ripper yesterday when I got home from work. Love that workout. Expected to be sore today but nothing. Weird.

This morning was cardio. Got up and wanted to go right back to bed. Not sure what is wrong with me lately. Of course, I didn't, but still. I'm usually wide awake when I get up but lately it takes all I have to get going. Could have something to do with dh and kitty cat waking me up with snoring and purring every night. LOL!

I chose one of my Cardio Coach mixes. It has 3 challenges on it, Challenge #2 from CC #8 (the 2 - 8 minute intervals), Challenge #1 from CC #7 (the 10 - alternating hill climb/sprints) and a challenge from CC #6S (5 - 1 minute sprints). Had an excellent workout. I felt VERY accomplished when I got this done.

HR STATS:1 hr. 4 minutes
3 minutes below zone
22 minutes in zone
37 minutes above zone
528 calories burned
4 miles travelled

Now, I am having knee pains again. Shooting, burning pain in my entire right knee cap area. Very frustrating. It went away for a while and now it's back. I took some Aleve and that seems to help.

I can't help but think it has something to do with me being misaligned. I'm having trouble with my entire right side of my body. Shoulder pain, hip pain, glute pain and now knee pain. Stretching does seem to help and I need to focus on that more. I just don't understand what's going on. Even with a full week off, these pains still persist.

Anyways, getting really frustrated with my body lately. I don't feel like I'm overloading it and I take breaks every 8 to 12 weeks, so I just don't get it.

Happy with this workout, though!

Debbie-I am sorry to hear about your body woes. I know you do a lot of stretching and such, so that must be very frustrating to still be having problems. Maybe a glucosamine supplement would help? But it doesn't sound like bone pain, more muscle and nerve. I wish I could be of more help. Have you had a massage lately? And way to workout when you don't feel like it, job well done :)

I did not get back to post yesterday but I had a great workout. I had to swtich the weight and cardio days because our camera at work went down yesterday which mean all my patients are moved to today and it's going to be a looooooooooong day. Also, my sister closes on her first house this Friday and we are helping her move. It should be record setting highs and heat advisories all week LOL.

Monday: cardio 43 minutes, 746 calories. 5 min jump rope warm up-jump 30, off 30, 1 mile run on treadmill (13 minutes- I really suck at running, it really gets my heart rate soaring, but I torch mega calories. I thought for sure when I quit smoking that I would be able to run better, but I guess I haven't built the endurance yet).

Today: Push Pull 33 minutes, 404 calories. Warm up was a 15 min walk with Bella- lots of creatures out this morning...that always makes for a pleasant walk. I feel very wiped after the weight work. I don't think my body likes a.m. workouts-I can feel it telling me to think again.

Hope everyone has great workouts and a great day.
Theresa

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Hip Hob Abs 2 - Booty Shakin' followed by part of Viollet Zaki's Star Trainer cardio that was kickboxing. My workout was about 65" and I burned 640 calories.

I like this advanced set of Hip Hob Abs. My HR hovers around 140-150 for the workout and that's decent for a dance workout.

I wish my pain would ease up. Still having a real bad flare up of right sided pain. I'm all spasmed.....thus the reason I've not tried another Insanity workout.

I posted a link to a HRM I was checking out at Amazon last night and wanted opinions. Let me go find it so I can post it here, as I want opinions on it. It is a continuous motion one that is strapless (first of it's kind), but your wear it on your forearm and it's probably as big as an Ipod and takes triple AAA batteries. The only feature it doesn't have that I want is percentage of max heartrate.

Deb - I've got a similar type of pain on the entire right side of my body. It starts in my jaw, runs down my neck, traps, mid back, low back and into my hip. It sucks. I use my foam roller a lot. You should try a foam roller. I've also been thinking of seeing a chiro....cuz my DH went to one from our whiplash injury.

Have great workouts everyone.

ETA: Here's the link for the HRM http://www.amazon.com/Impact-Sports-...9346129&sr=1-3

I want to try it cuz I HATE chest straps and my current model is non-continuous, meaning I have to pause for a second to take my HR....however, I'm very used to this and it doesn't really interfere with my workout....so I don't know what to do.

This morning I did Traceys High Intensity Step Mix 2 90 minutes and burned 643 calories. I needed to get done early because the workers were coming again today. I will be glad when all of this outside work is done. We had to have sprinklers moved so the concrete workers could pour concrete and we are having fencing done so it will be at least a week of workers. I have to get out and do some errands. Will check back later.

Morning! I did the original Bootcamp today- taking a week or two to do circuits and whatever I feel like doing. Then I'm starting a heavy lifting rotation for a while. Thanks for the picture love yesterday, especially Lora who said I looked young, lol!

Diane Sue: I met Allie from that workout at the RT- she is so cute and fit (!) in real life. :) She told me a funny story about how sick she was while filming that workout.

Debbie: Persistent pain really ticks me off too- maybe you are not in alignment. Have you thought about a chiro? I have never been to one but know people that swear by them.

Lora: I have the Polar F11 with the chest strap and love it, although I haven't been wearing it lately. Sometimes the numbers make me crazy so I have to take breaks. :)

Linda: Sorry I missed you at the RT, too. LauraMax was telling me how much she loves your arms, btw. ;)

Hi Theresa! I love morning workouts, but listen to your body.

More photos, because why not?

Isn't she cute?? I love her.

Wow, that's not good. Mine isn't that bad, I don't think. I've thought about a chiro, but I went to one a long time ago and he made everything worse. I doubt I could ever bring myself to see another one.

See what I wrote above. I just don't trust chiro's much. Plus, when you start going to them you have to keep going to them. I don't like that plan either.

Patti, such cool pictures! Cedie has some nice arms! I love Jai, she is my favorite.

Debbie - Really sorry to hear about all your body pain. I know it must be driving you nuts. Why do you think you are misaligned? I second a great massage therapist. I love mine!

Theresa - You are not alone. I can do serious step, kickbox and bootcamp workouts, but as soon as I try to run..forget it...I suck. Heart beats like mad and I am sucking wind like there is no tomorrow!:p

- I have a Nike Imara, cheap, simple and I love it, but it does use a chest strap. Now I have a Zune which is as big as an Ipod if not a bit bigger and use to wear it on my arm while on the TM and it didn't bother me at all. So as long as it is formfitting and has a low profile it shouldn't be that bad.

Linda: Sorry I missed you at the RT, too. LauraMax was telling me how much she loves your arms, btw. ;)

Patti - Love the pictures. Wish I could have been there! BTW, you just made my day!

This morning I did Amy's Advanced Step Challenge the original. That workout is only about 40 minutes, but let me tell you it should does kick my butt!:p I was pouring buckets by the end. Burned 350 calories.

Lora-check out this watch. My dh found out about it from a girl at his work that uses it. Evidentally, it's pretty accurate...and no chest strap.

Linda-what is the deal with the running? It kept my heart pounding for the rest of the workout.

patti-great pics...looks like you had a great time.

Alas, I am stuck at work late. The camera is back up and running.

TTYL-
Theresa

Eating today went like this:
B-Clean Eating Cookbook Cottage cheese pancakes( I used Low Carb Bake Mix in place of flour)
L- Schlosky's chicken wrap sandwich
S- 1 parmesan chicken breast from last night
D- Pork Tenderloin and salad with fat free dressing
S- 2 squares dark chocolate

Debbie, I don't know what to say about all of the pain. I know I have some areas that are different than others in body alignment. I can see it when I do stretching and yoga because 1 side will not hold the position like the other so I try to work on holding those stretches and poses a little longer. The foam roller is a great tool. If I am really feeling achey a lot I find resting without doing anything can sometimes make me feel worse. Some lighter cardio to w/up and flexibility training seems to be the way to go. Getting back to feeling good again can take some time. Maybe you could find a physical therapist that is good.

Patti, thanks for sharing more pictures:D You look great. I am so hooked on my HRM I can't make myself leave it off. I have even thought about buying a second so if I have to leave it somewhere for the battery I will still have one LOL :D I was afraid I might have messed up the strap because last night I accidentally put the strap in the dryer:eek: But it worked fine this morning. Fortunately I use low heat for most things.

Linda, I had purchased a Nike HRM before my Polar. It cost around 110 dollars. But the strap was too big. I put it as tight as I could get it and it would slide down. Then I tried to twist pin it in the back and that was uncomfortable. I took it back. I think if the strap would have fit it would have been fine.
