Debbie - Sound words. I appreciate them and think you truly have done a great job at finding a balance that works for you. Hardcore, no question, but you are really good at getting the rest you need, too. I am working at finding that balance myself. The past couple days were probably really good for me.
Diane Sue - DS doesn't go back to school until September 7th. I just started feeling like I was getting into a summer routine and now ...
Isn't that how it is? I think you (and Debbie, etc.) are right about easing up. I am definitely in this for the long haul. That is, want to still be doing this stuff for as long as I'm ... doing
. I think next week is a good goal. My back's actually feeling pretty good and I'm wondering how much of my problem really is/was related to ttotm cramping. Even so - I haven't had a real problem with injuries for some time (knock on wood and thankfully). I was really scared there for about a day. Guess I'll just vicariously enjoy yours (and everyone else's here) for a few more days. Gives me something to look forward to.
Theresa - I didn't know about that Budokon. Will check it out
These look pretty tough. I will definitely let you know what I think after I try one out. They've been fun to watch, anyway -- and if I can get them down, I will feel really cool
There is an added tutorial section and also an option to click over to tutorial during the workout during any new move/segment. Think that will be helpful. I think the drills for Kickmax are the best part - I may 'borrow' the dvd mix you did sometime - I've done that with your ideas more than once
- Please tell Lora I miss her and said hi.
Roselyn - You're sure hitting the Turbo Fire hard. They must be really good. Have a great time in the Ozarks
As for me, I did intervals on my elliptical trainer today. Haven't used that thing in a long time. Very good workout, actually. I originally set my gymboss for 15 rounds, 1 minute 30 seconds work (high resistance and as fast as I could go) and 2 minutes recovery (at a lower resistance). That was crazy. Way too long for an all out effort. After five rounds of that I was cooked. So, I just did steady state for 2 full rounds, then switched the work interval to about 60 seconds. That was still really hard. Ended up doing 13 actual intervals and the workout was 50 some minutes (not including warm up or cool down). BUT - it was non impact and my back felt fine and it felt really good to sweat and breathe like that after 2 days of doing not much that was physical - except cleaning
- blech - and I don't really count that. As I said, I'm staying away from the weights and jumping and stuff until Sunday. Kinda nice to use the elliptical again - they have a different, floaty kind of feel to them. Also, made another appt. with the doc. This ttotm stuff is not improving. Cramps seem worse and I should really refer to it as oottotm (One of those times of the month) - seems to be here more than not, anymore. Can't be helping my energy level. Anyway. Rambling.
Hope you all have had a good evening.
Lori
