Teddygirl - I LOVE PIZZA HUT!!!! Yummy!!! Me and my mom go there sometimes on Saturday's. Good stuff!!! Great workout as well! Did you do all of Lowmax AND the shoulder work? Holy moly woman!!

Char - Nice ab work. I like how you added the 25 hanging knee raises. I need to get back to doing those. Great workout!!!

Debbie: I use to Love Pizza Hut! Seem to me like they changed something, not sure what, maybe there sauce. My favorite pizza is Master Pizza, only a few left.

Yep, I did the entire workout, piece of cake, I was having so much fun this morn, I like when my workout flow  I was going to do all 7 blasts and then work Shoulders Bi's & Tri's but time wasn't on my side  BTW, how's them legs feeling:)

Toasty: Nice work, as usual :) I tried doing hang ab work, but I won't challenge myself  Nice work!

Well, ladies I'm leaving today @ 2pm getting a early start on my shopping that's not the entire truth...TRUTH is I just don't feel like being here today:rolleyes::rolleyes: Ever have them days:D

morning Ladies - Debbie it is cool to see you going with the oldies but goldies!

I am still working on the P90X. i was only able to work out once over the holiday, so I took that as the week 4 recovery week and now starting on week 5. I am a bit behind as I have a cold and have not felt good. I hope to make it all up this weekend.

have a great day all.

I have a special tower that lets me rest my arms while I do the hanging knee raises. I do like doing the L Raises too like in P90X, but I don't support my upperbody on that one..more of a killer there cuz back gets involved quite nicely.

Thinking of doing GS Legs with the usual weight I used before. Only thing is that the time I get to Legs and Glute floor work, I will be quite toasted, but I do love me a challenge. Just finished bathing the dogs and need to clean up some..have lunch and then get into the workout.

Good morning!

This morning was my second leg day of the week and I did the first 2 challenges of CC#8. The roads were bad and I wanted to leave earlier than usual. So my cardio was only 40 minutes once again. :(

Squats
105# 15r x 3

Leg Extensions
100# 15r x 3

Lying Leg Curls
32.5# 15r x 3

Romanian Deadlifts – Barbell
85# x 15r 80# x 15r 70# x 15 r
The heavier weight is starting to hurt my lower back - you know that one spot off to the right. Dang it! I should probably switch to dumbbells like I did last week and see if that helps. I really don't want to go lighter but I def don't want to hurt my back again b/c it takes FOREVER AND EVER to heal! That's why I went lighter.

Leg Press
170# x 3
Sadly enough, this also hurt my lower back on the last set. I think it was just sore at this point. I pushed through but probably should have lightened the weight. :( I did stretch afterward.

Debbie - You're really rockin' those workouts! Maybe I'm happy I didn't have all of the workouts after all. :p That rotation looks TOUGH!!!

Teddygirl - NICE JOB! I love Pizza Hut too. We used to go to the buffet on the weekend. We haven't been in forever b/c it's just so greasy. But we would go for a cheat meal. I would be stuffed. We might have to do that again. :)

Ally - Good to see you. I'm happy to see you're still at it with P90X! I hope you feel better soon.

Sonya - Thanks for the pizza recipe! It looks YUMMY!

Charlotte - So I could do hanging knee raises on my pullup bar but it would just involve my back too? Sounds tough! I don't have a tower, so that's my only option.

Diane Sue - It's funny how it takes us awhile to figure out that something is causing us migraines, huh? I hope you don't have to use your inhaler for very long. That would be a bummer. I have heard that people have had this crap for weeks and weeks, so maybe it's just kind of a little leftover stuff from when you had pneumonia?

So we are having a Christmas potluck for our office next week. I would like to bring something healthy. It doesn't matter if it is a main dish or a side dish or what, so does anybody have any ideas for me? I want something EASY b/c I don't really like to cook. :D But I know there will be a bunch of unhealthy crap.

Hmmmm, how about a fruit tray? Or a veggie tray?

Excellent workout, girl!

Fell back to sleep after the alarm went off this morning so was running short on time. So I did Amy's ASC 1 which is about 45 minutes and tough enough that it always leaves me feeling like I worked really hard.:D

Suz - Being a vegetarian I always like to take, well .......... vegetables. Here is a recipe that I took to a Thanksgiving potluck. You will have to increase it quite a bit, because the zucchini cooks down. But this was delicious and was gone by the end.

Baked Zucchini

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 medium zucchini, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted (I changed this to half olive oil, half butter, adds great flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh oregano
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS

  1. In a bowl, toss the zucchini, butter and oregano. Arrange in a single layer on a greased baking sheet or shallow baking dish; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.

Suz,

Actually, probably would probably be more tiredsome on the arms from hanging. Think of yourself hanging from a cliff and you cannot fall off so you gotta do them all:eek:

I had a bunch of unexpected running this morning. Finished my workout early and went to the store to get a bottle and diapers since Olivias Dad forgot the bag this morning. I had formula and food here though.
My workout was short warm up on the treadmill and then the w/up on Phil Ross advanced kettlebell training. skipping the jump rope. This warms up every area of your body and ends with some light kettlebell halos and figure 8's. I like the way he warms up and stretches the shoulders from all angles too. I jumped back on the treadmill and continued 5.75 miles and burned 710 calories. Then I did abs;
4 sets of 15 hanging knee raises with 10# medicine ball
Goddess Kettlebell workout abs/core
turkish get up with 15lb kettlebell 2 reps each side
renegade rows 6 reps 10# dumbbells(would have required two kettlebells
farmer/waiter walks 15# kettlebell in extended arm 20# held at side 2 sets
v sit slow twist 2 sets 10 reps 20lb
v sit russian twist 2 sets 28 reps 15# kettlebell
power breathing crunch/situp 8reps center, 8 reps each side(I noticed Phil Ross does some of the power breathing stuff on his workout too)
Amy Bento's All Pump Extreme using 10# dumbbell and gliding discs
I burned 253 calories doing core work
Finished with yoga solutions Post Cycling segment and added some shoulder stretches with the yoga strap
Total calories burned today was 1042

Suz, many people around here have had this virus with the laryngitis. Quite a few have ended up with pheumonia. My dd and her family all ended up on antibiotics because it was trying to turn to pneumonia. They kept having her friend (a pediatric PA) check them out as they were getting ready to leave on their Disney Cruise. The doctor said it was a cold this time and it has the bronchial tubes inflamed because of the pneumonia I just had. I figured out that I didn't have the inhaler primed well. I did the 4 sprays like it said but it took more than that to get it to spray like it should. No wonder it didn't work. I slept 3 hours last night after using the inhaler then woke up in coughing fits. Tonight I will take it in with me so if it goes beyond 4 hours I can use it again.

Diane Sue,

That is quite amazing you don't let anything get in your way of your workouts..nothing keeps you down even when you feel alittle down. Your just amazing!

Diane Sue,

And yes, they do have hypnosis cd's for mostly anything you can imagine...coughs as well. My husband knows I like to be different and he is use to it, but still makes fun of some of the books I read. I don't pay him any mind because my mind is somewhere else when I am getting hypnotized. lol:eek:, but he did interrupt my trance when he was having a bad dream and yelled out..right at the end too..wonder I didn't have a stroke...he ruined my session. lmao.

Debbie and Linda - Both sound like good options. So do I take the easy way out or put in a little effort. Hmmm... Linda, can I make those the night before or will they be all soggy? Since I work out in the morning I won't have time.

Charlotte - That's a good idea. OR...I could just think of how tough YOU are and that you wouldn't let go and I can't wimp out! :p

Diane Sue - I'm glad you figured out the inhaler. It sounds like there is just something nasty going around OK! I agree with Charlotte - nothing keeps you from working out, that's for sure. You're amazing. I think that pneumonia is the only thing that has kept you down in the past few years. No wonder you look the way you do. ;) Such dedication.

Suz - I don't think it will get soggy. You mind find some water in the bottom of the pan in the morning, but that is from the zucchini itself and you could just pour that off.
