Hardcore Fitness Maniac Hotties for 12/3

Linda - Nice workout! How do you do chins with knee raises? When you pull yourself up are you bringing your knees up also? And yes, I'm surprised I had a puke status with shoulders. Thank you Cathe! :D

Suz: I keep Hot Tamales in my house I go to the $ store and get the big box in 2 days they are gone:D

Sonya: No, I like a slow/fast steady run. I usually run an hour but, still building up my strength. Nice workout.

Okay didn't go to Dicks Sporting instead went to Kohl's I spented on sweaters $168 bucks, they have 50% off sale. Me and sister heading out to Strongsville Mall tomorrow, ordering boots "must have" they didn't have my size last week so I brought a pair of shoe booths, and they are sharp. I will talk too you guys later. I promise my 2 grandson pizza hut tonight.

DianeSue - I have a 20# KB in my hot little hands.:D:D And a 15# on the way!:D:D:D So could you recommend a DVD to start playing around with?

Charlotte - I remember now with you and the back fat fears. :p I'm sure that if you see the teensiest bit you cut out every bit of junk from your diet. Mine is the little stomach pouch and the cellulite on my legs. I HATE it! Even being skinny I have it. I have to focus on drinking more water b/c I hear that helps. And of course eating cleaner.

Sonya - I really should keep a food diary. That would shape me up, wouldn't it? I'm so lazy that I wouldn't eat just b/c I wouldn't want to write stuff down!

Dallys - I'm the same way - if I get too hungry I make really poor choices. I love it when I have DOMS in my hammie and butt!!! Nice work.

Linda - You're killin' me on those chins. Not only can you DO them, but you can do them with knee raises? Dang girl!!! You are my hero! Will I ever make it?

Teddygirl - You're funny - Kohl's instead of Dick's. Kohl's will send me all of these coupons for 15 - 25% off and I used to tell DH, "They want me to come back." So yesterday I got a card for 15% off everything in the store Friday and Saturday and he got the mail and he said, "They want you back again," and handed it to me. :)

I'm done with work and I'm starving! Lawd! I'm craving french fries:eek:, thank goodness I don't have time to get some. The salad in the fridge just looks so icky. Maybe I'll make eggs...ick too. What to do?

Everyone is just kicking it with the workouts...I don't think this group has ever been this good all at one time!:D We Rock! Now, if we could all just get our eating under control....

Here is the pizza recipe......

Turkey Alfredo Pizza

1 cup shredded cooked turkey breast (I also use chicken)
1 cup frozen spinach, thawed, drained and squeezed dry
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 garlic clove, halved
1 pizza crust (Boboli whole grain)
1/2 cup light Alfredo sauce
3/4 cup (3 ounces) shredded reduced fat cheese
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

1. Preheat oven to 450
2. Combine first 5 ingredients; toss well. Rub cut sides of garlic over crust, and discard garlic. Spread Alfredo sauce evenly over crust; top w/turkey mixture. Sprinkle w/cheese and red pepper. Bake at 450 for 12 minutes or until crust is crisp.

This is from Cooking Light December 2007 issue.

Off to do my workout. BBL to post.

Linda, I am just buying my own kettlebell workouts. The ones I have been using a friend sent to me to try for awhile .I have already sent some back. The one that she sent that I liked the best was Lauren Brooks http://www.youtube.com/kbellqueen
The Kettlebell Goddess that I bought has lots of options but no music and I have a hard time finding it very motivating. I am still discovering some of the premixes though. The Go Fit Iron Core ones are good for beginning in that they move slower and really work on the form. Although I feel like the instructor acts like she is talking to school children. I ordered two from www.artofstrength.com Kettlebell Way volume 2 the Empire State came but I have not opened it because it is supposed to be part of my Christmas along with the other kettlebells. I also ordered Providence which I believe is the first one.(I ordered it from Perform Better and it is taking much longer to get here. I am supposed to have it Friday. Rachel Cosgrove(I think that is her first name) had mentioned using it on muscle with attitude in one of her articles. These seem to be well liked and I have watched clips. They are $49.95 and this month there is free shipping. The one that came says it has 2 dvd's and lots of 40minute workouts on it. If you go here there are two free audio kettlebell workout downloads. They have decent music on them too. You have to know the moves though. http://www.liftkettlebells.com/

Sonya, I am going to print that recipe out. It sounds yummy:D

Suz, I know it said something on the usage instructions with the inhaler about an extension. Hopefully I don't need it that much. The doctor said I may need to use it when I workout. I was coughing like crazy when my son in law came in this morning while I was doing my cardio. He said I didn't sound to good. I get that little pouch too. Usually if I eat large meals though. It goes away when I cut back portion sizes. Doesn't really have anything to do with over eating calories. I love Hot Tamales. Any cinnamon candy. Almost bought cinnamon candy canes the other day but had second thoughts. I used to buy big bags of those brachs cinnamon candys and keep them in a bowl and suck on them all day long. Had a migraine for 3 weeks till I realized what it was. I would wake up fine. Then one day I was headed for the candy bowl thinking I needed to get some more. Then as I popped it in my mouth it hit me why the headaches. I quit and they went away. I can eat a few though now and then.

Dallys, when I went to the doctor the other morning I came out and could smell Long John Silvers and thought that sounds good. But then I thought about how crappy I would feel after I ate it and went home and had chicken with green beans and thought longingly of Long Johns Silvers LOL

Charlotte, if dh came home and heard me listening to hypnosis cd's he would probably laugh at me :D I really need to quit coughing. Do they have hypnosis to stop coughing?? I suppose that wouldn't be a good idea though. I would probably get pneumonia all over again.

DianeSue - Thanks for the info on the DVD's. Keep me updated on the new DVD's as you do them. I am not ready to drop $50 yet. That is unless you tell me they are awesome and I just have to have it.:p

Today was shoulders from Debbie's rotation...

My shoulders are now letting me know they exist!! I am reminding them that they will be puny no more :)

Round 1 - 5,8,10,12 repeated with 3,5,8,10.

Round 2 - 10 for seated isolation press first time, then down to 8 for repeat. 10 for both sets of rows.

Round 3 - 8 for first set of standing laterals, then down to 5 for that second set. 8 for bent arms.

Round 4 - 8 for seated front rear raise, 5 for rear isolation flyes.

Green (medium) band for bonus both times - admittedly, I did inch my hands a little further apart the second time around!

My new Harlots came in so I HAD to go for a ride - just did 8 miles but it was a very windy 8. Decided to do some of the abs on the 4DS too.

I'm going to have to go back and catch up later on the above chat. We are out to look at Christmas lights in the neighborhood.

Linda, I will let you know. I had to read a lot of reviews and watch clips and really think about it before I purchased. I do have a Phil Ross one I purchased from Deep Discount. I just got it and haven't tried it yet. Previewed and it is definitely advanced. Some moves I don't think I will ever do. I think it is in the last section that he puts a towel through the handle and swings the kettlebell. I am afraid when that thing went over my head it might land on it LOL He also does an odd move in the bonus segment by tying a martial arts belt to the kettlebell ahd holds the belt with his teeth and does neck exercises bending his head forward and backward. I am afraid I would have neck spasms and a headache from that one. It does look pretty good for the most part though. I only paid 8.95 for it and free shipping and it looks like a decent purchase. Amy Bento should be having her presale after the first sometime with the kettlebell workout. Also I think the one she filmed quite awhile ago is supposed to come out sometime between January and March. It was done by Bayview and I don't think Amy will be selling them herself though.
