Hardcore Fitness Maniac Hotties for 12/10

Linda,

I have not started my Christmas shopping either. Probably will on 12/24 knowing us. lol.

Bionics,

PM me if you want one. I have plenty now. You can go out in your hot tub and sip on one of your most tropical drinks and..uh...nevermind, you would drown:eek: Maybe best at night. :p

Hi Ladies,

It's been a few days since I've checked in. I haven't been able to workout the past few days. I'm a little under the weather; I think I caught a stomach virus. I can't seem to keep anything down, I have chills and my whole back aches, along with a gruesome headache. I hope I get over this soon. I'm feeling really weak from not eating. I hope to kick butt once I'm up and running.

Hey all....Today started off very depressing. California is in a huge budget crisis which of course affects school districts since we are funded primarily with State funds. Superintendent called a special meeting because Board approved last night to lay-off 10 elementary Vice Principals and 4 High School. I am so thankful my job is safe but I am losing one of my VP's and the other could possibly be assigned to a diffrent school and I get someone else. I absolutely love my VPs'...not only do we have a great professional relationshsip they are both my good friends. I am bummed! :(

Truly the one thing that keeps me going is working out. :) Just the fact that it's a stress releiver!!!!!!! Of course I also like the other health benefits and the physique I get from working out. And I couldn't agree more that it so sad that young people are overweight. I just don't get it. I too have an 18 year old nephew who is probabaly close to 300!

I caught a glimpse of the Oprah story. She's on the cover of her O magazine with a pic of her "thinner" self and a pic now. The caption is something like...How did this happen? Uh, hello Oprah, your are an intelligent woman...plus doesn' she have Bob Greene on retainer?????? The funny thing is she is going back on a diet in January (so she said) and will make it a "public" affair.

Linda....I sure hope your wrist gets better! Take care of you!

Janie...I think you are referring to Oxygen Magazine. It's great!

Have another budget meeting tonight, UGH but will be sure to do my workout when I get home!

Sonya, I live in California too and was reading about the budget crisis earlier. It may be naive of me; of course I have no idea how to run a state, but really, how did they let it get to this?? I am sure some factors are on a federal level and hence out of the direct control of California lawmakers, but still...damn. There has to have been a way they could have kept it from getting to this point. Do you know what the likely effects on higher education will be? I teach at a UC and a comm college, but not tenure track, unfortunately (a fact I am hoping to remedy with an upcoming interview...cross fingers!). I am bummed too about people losing their jobs and also the effect on students, which can't be good.

Well, workout-wise today I did, for the first time, the advanced "Couch Potato" routine from Yoga for Your Moods. I have no idea why that name was chosen. It's 40 minutes long and several parts of it are beyond me, especially the balance sections, although I felt a little better with half moon today. It's nice to have a challenge; it will definitely take me some time to get some of these postures.

Did the bicep workout today. I am really enjoying this rotation, Debbie. I know you are busy, but I use to love when you posted your menus. If you ever get time to post a few they were so helpful and gave me some ideas how to balance throughout the day.

Core Max workout #1

If I don't see some major muscle growth with this rotation then then there is a problem!!!!! This is awesome Debbie, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hermia...Your guess is as good as mine as to how we got here! The frustrating thing is the Govenor hasn't even released this years budget! I started school in July so I have been operating on a phantom budget, that is usally the case each year but we usually have some idea but now we are anticipating mid-year budget cuts as well! :(..... just waiting on the Govenor! Not quite sure what he's waiting for, not like money is going to magically appear!!!!!!!!! We have been in a "budget freeze" for about 3 weeks now! I haven't heard anything about higher education. I will definetly keep my fingers crossed for you regarding tenure status! Good luck!

Debbie/anyone on this forum,

Was wondering, a while back you had mentioned a woman's body building magazine. Do you remember the name of it? I think I would like to get it for its rotations and suggestions of all kinds. I think it had the word muscle/bodybuilding in it? (I think).

Love your new rotation forum.

Janie

Janie - I know that Diane Sue likes Muscle and Fitness Hers. I like that one too. Might that have been it?
