Hardcore Fitness Maniac Hotties for 10/28

Sonya - What did the dentist do for the crown? Do they give you novacaine for it or just cover up the tooth? I need to get one put on soon and was just wondering what it entailed. Thanks!

Sonya and Suz - no problem on the "excuse!" Really, I think being tall just makes some things difficult. Like the timing on some of the DVDs too - they get up and down so much more quickly than me b/c I have further to go!! (Squats and deadlifts, for example.) It felt good to be able to finally do a real pike :) I could come close before but no matter how I tried, I couldn't make it the rest of the way but shoot, when I first started, I couldn't even dream of doing what I can do now.

Debbie, They did give me novacaine. It was annoying having work done on my mouth for that long but it wasn't painful. I had a silver filling removed (it was cracking my tooth) so they had to drill that out...oh joy! Then take the impression and put on the temporary crown. I go back in two weeks for the permanent one.

Today's Meals:

Hey Crazies! This morning I did 30 of intervals on the treadmill followed by the stretch segment from Squeeze DVD. I'm going to head out here in a sec. for a bike ride. It's gorgeous outside! Must take advantage!

Suz- I steam my sweet potatoes and then just nuke them in the microwave when I'm ready to eat one. I usually put cottage cheese on for protein. I haven't had one in ages! Need to go buy some. Great job on the eats so far today too! And great going on helping out the kids! I wish the schools would realize how important that is.

Debbie- I hope your back isn't hurt to bad! Smart listening to your body. Yeah, we haven't heard anything from Lora since she said lost her job. Hope she is alright.

Teddy- Great workout and eats! Love that you felted booty luscious!

Linda-
I'm sorry to hear about your FIL. You've been through a lot this year.:(

Sonya- Good to hear your mother is doing well! I spent an 1 1/2 in the dentist chair last week. So much fun.;)

Toasty- Great workout! I'm sure your tris are already fried by the time you get to them. I kinda like kickbacks or any tricep work myself.:p

Shana- The salmon is just like the tuna. Both are fishy if you hate fishy, lol. I think I like the salmon better, at least for now... Way to go on the full pike! Those are tough!

Roslyn- Nice job on S&H today. Such a long post too!:p

Hermia-
Glad you had fun with your bf!

Diane Sue- I hope you can get your atm card straightened out soon. Great workout too! Oh! I got my total body solution DVD with Debbie and Chad. I'll let you know how it is.

Later... I'm heading out for my bike ride. Gonna burn me some fat, baby!:D

Roselyn - Nice workout! Quit hogging the thread, would ya! :p

Diane Sue - Now I see why you don't have that loose skin above your knees I was talking about! Good heaven's! I have some catching up to do.

Char - I wish I would have read your ab workout before I went to the PE building. I would have done some hanging ab work while I was there - in my dress. The woman who works down there was telling me I can always just run down there and pump out a few sets of whatever I want in the afternoon if I need a break. I don't have a station to do tricep dips but we have one here. I'm SO excited! The smaller workout room off of our basketball gym is hardly ever busy, not like our bigger workout room. As long as our team isn't practicing I can go in there. I guess they don't want any distractions. As if I would!

Sonya - Yeah, I thought about maybe trying to partner with the school district. They already love me for my hugely successful summer camps I put on for kids. :) This would be outside of that.

Dallys - Dumb question - how do you steam them?

Debbie - Nope. Tee hee. I went to lunch with a friend and had a salad with salmon on top and vinagarette dressing. I'll be ready to eat here soon.

In a pan similar to this one. Fill big pan with water just below the insert pan, bring water to boiling, cover and steam potatoes or any veggies til tender. If they are big cut them in half or quarters.

I am back from the school. Made the grandchildren some chocolate chip cookies(now why did I do that??) I made half a recipe. Hoping to get rid of most before everyone leaves today.

Debbie, crowns aren't so bad. They do numb you up. It requires a lot of time in the dentist chair. I did all of the prep work a couple of weeks ago and have the temporary crowns on two teeth. I go back this coming Monday to get the others put in. It took about 1hr 45 min for the prep work, making impressions, x-ray, numbing then all of the drilling etc, they then put a temporary crown over the tooth until the other comes in. It takes about 35-45 minutes to put the ones that will stay in. I keep having to replace old cracked fillings with crowns.

Dallys, can't wait to hear what you think of Total Body Solution.

Suz, when I go that heavy on the Bowflex for leg extensions it is some work to get out the 8 reps LOL

Grandchildren left and I got my son in law to finish off the cookies:D I went to let my dog Mudd in and she bought me another squirrel:eek: She left it right in front of the door and I squealed. I think I scared her because she jumped back like she couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. Had to go around the house to get a shovel because I didn't want to step over it or run the door over it. It kept falling off the shovel. Looked like it had an acorn stuck in it's claw eeew!! Why did she have to start doing this after dh left?

Suz, I meant to say earlier that I think that is a great idea to do a fitness camp for the children. Keeping them active is so important. For many children summers are spent sitting in front of the television and video games.

Diane Sue - Yeah, pretty sure I couldn't get one rep out let alone 8!!! But now I'm gonna see how high I can go. With the Bowflex Revolution we noticed that you can't lift as much "weight" as with our "real" weights, so it's hard to compare with that one. I can't remember what our other Bowflex's were like. I remember being shocked when I tried to do leg extensions with 90# at first compared to 90# with regular weights on my other bench. I about died! But now I feel like a baby compared to you. Haha! That squirrel story is crazy. Wasn't it you who had the tarantula story and the shovel? It sounds like the shovel is your weapon of choice. :) Glad the cookies are gone. I love chocolate chip cookies. There were some in our break room today and I didn't eat any. Then someone put brownies in there from a meeting. Didn't eat those either. And I wanted to!

Okay, just finished my workout. It went like this:

Alternating Overhead Press 20# 8/8/8

Triceps Dips 20/20/20 - First set straight legs, next 2 bent b/c of shoulder/high bench

Side lat raises 12.5# 12reps 15# 10/10

Lying Tricep Barbell Extensions 30# 10/8/10

Tricep Cable Pushdown 60# 12reps 70# 8/10

Bench Reverse Crunch - bringing legs straight up and back a bit - 20/20 - these were TOUGH and I coudn't do another set

Tricep Kickbacks 12.5# 15/20 15# 16reps

Plain ol' floor crunches 100 100

That's it!

Workout today was 45 minutes of Cardio Blast premix from BM2.

DS...love the squirrel story...too funny, well maybe not to you:)

Nice workout Sue! Kudos for skippin the cookies and brownies!

Suz, yes it was me and the tarantula. I guess I have a thing for shovels being my weapon LOL Really I thought about a broom for the tarantula but was worried that sucker wouldn't die and run off and I would have to move! I figured the shovel was a guarantee that a blow would kill it:) Wait a minute I didn't kill the squirrel:p

That's funny! So either the you just moved the live squirrel with the shovel or it was already dead. :p

Off to bed. Hopefully I'll get up early enough to do my cardio AND weight work in the am and not have to split it up like today. Ha! That would be a miracle.

Today I did Body Max 2 skipping the first step portion. That workout totally kicks my booty. I've been on the phone half the day it feels like. I like to talk to people but dang, there's just too much to do!
