Where is everyone??? Weird!

This morning was shoulders. Was suppose to do a bit of cardio but I couldn't get out of bed so I just did shoulder work. Doesn't feel like I did much of anything. I hate that feeling.

1:30 minute rest between each set and exercise.

SHOULDERS
Overhead Dumbbell Press:
30's - 6/6/6 (up 3#)
26's - 10 (up 1#)
22's - 12/12 (same as last week)
***Felt strong with this exercise. Last two sets got me, though.

Upright Row:
55# - 6/6 (down 7#)
50# - 10 (down 10#)
45# - 12/12 (down 10#)
***Went down with weights on this exercise because I think it's what is bothering my right shoulder. Glad I did, my right forearm had a real hard time pulling up each weight. Not sure what that's all about. I'm falling apart! LOL!

Bent-Over Lateral Raise:
20's - 12/12 (same weight as last week)
***I think this is another one that bothered me last week so I stayed the same with the weight.

Shoulder feels good, no tightness or pain.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Today I am gonna work shoulders and include the tricep work that I did not finish last night. Also, some bike riding. Weather is nice and I got 1 1/2% of body fat to lose. My body fat is 16.1% now, and that is not acceptable at all. I want it back to 14-15% range. I would love 13%, but I am not willing to give up my chocolate. lol.

Char - I did wear my gloves. I was FREEZING when I got into work. OMG, it was only 50 degrees when I left so that makes it about 30 when riding. Effing cold!!! My hands were numb and so were my legs.
 
Good Morning.. Ive had a hard time getitng out of bed too.. Ive been sick with head cold or something the past few days and now CRAMPs.. Im surprised Im working out at all ugh..

Chest-
Pushups X 2
Decline BB Presses 5 X failure (15/12/10/10/10)
DB Presses 5 X 8
didnt have my spotter so I went lighter with higher reps on the BB

Back/RD-
Rack Pulls 5 X failure these suck because I can pull a lot more than I can hang.. I ordered some chalk so hopefully that should help
Neutral Flyes 3 X 10 ss w/
Bent Shrugs 3 X 8
T-Flyes w/ Band
Ext. Rot. Pulls w/ Band
Rear Delt Presses 3 X 8 w/ pulses

Tri's-
Lying Extensions 3 X 12 (upped weight, increased rest 15 sec)

Cardio-
20 mins HIC.. immediatly after training, never do this.. but I have a couple more pounds to lose by end of month!!

Morning everyone! I too, could not get up either. My dog has been sick and he has not been sleeping, so therefore I am sleeping - and I worry about him. He is old.

So, I didn't get a workout in, hopefully I can get a job or good hill walk in later and I will hit he weights tomorrow - because I don
t have to work. YAY!
 
Morning-
Did 5 mile run with the Boss today. I got banged up pretty good on tuesday when I went trail running. I was only TWO minutes away from finishing the 8.5 mile run when I tripped over a damn tree root that I did not see. I went flying into the air and made sure I landed on my side so I don't damage anything sensitive. My hip is badly bruised, left leg is all scratched up and back is a bit banged up. I was worried I chipped some hip bone but so far it's mostly deep tissue bruising. That's what happens when I let my mind wander! :confused: I didn't pay attention. :rolleyes: Yesterday was a lightISH cardio circuit. Wasn't as light as it should be because I was sort of in a competition with some chick at the gym. LOL

Toasty- Nice to hear your colon is beautiful! :D Did you drop the weight you gained from the stuff? I don't know anything about that stuff but is it salty or anything?

Debbie- Nice workout! I can't believe it's cold here in NY, too. I love it though. Better than it being hot and humid. Too many mosquitos around.

Linda- Your workouts have been looking GREAT. How did your kids like school?

The tablets they gave me had ALOT of sodium in them. I blew up like the Michelin Man. lol. My weight is 118 this morning, but bf needs to be adjusted slightly.

Anyhoo, sorry to hear about you falling like that. Dag gone! I hope you feel better soon. Glad it wasn't too bad. Reminds me though, I still need to do some more hiking, and I will be sure to not do the same thing if I decide to run abit. Speck loves to run with me. She is my running buddy...more like my shadow. lol.
 
Afternoon Maniacs,

Back from a mad dash to the supermarket and picking DD up from school!

This morning just did 4 DS lLIS/HIS Double Cardio. Little worried about my shoulder, after being nice to during my workout, I moved boxes and junk all afternoon which left it aching.:(:( Got some good DOMS in the chest from yesterday's workout though. :D:D:D


Debbie - Glad to hear your shoulder did good today!

Lisa - My kids are liking school. The Boss wasn't in school today?

Char - I am sure you will back down to where you want to be in no time!
 
Today I did Kelly Coffey's Cardio Kick Stepbox repeating the last non step segment. Then I did TImesaver biceps 2 times, and Push Pull biceps segments 2 times. Calories burned was 678 Then I did a quick shower and took granddaughter to school.
When I came back I did Push Pull Triceps segments 4 times using a 30# barbell for the dips and 15's for the kickbacks, then I did Super Sets Triceps Extensions on the ball 2X with 15# dumbbells. I finished with Ana and Ravi's Yoga housecalls bye bye back pain segment, and then 20 minutes of Rainbeau Mars Dawn Yoga. I forgot to use my hr monitor when I cam back but doubt I burned that many calories:)
Had a lot going on. Daughter came in and visited this morning. Bill called while I was doing the yoga. Right after I came back from school dil called to talk to me about Avon. (she is selling it again) The right side of my low back is acting up. I think I am doing to many deadlifts. I have a feeling that that is where the stress fracture is in my back that they mentioned when I had my physical. I may have to rethink my plans for tomorrow doing Ripped and Chilseled lower portions along with Muscle Max or SS Blast lower body. Maybe I will just do parts. I really want to target my quads and calves a little more. Have to go back to the store for some toilet paper:eek: I went last night and totally forgot.

Lisa, sorry about the fall. Sounds like something I would do. Hope you mend quickly. Good thing you did not break anything.
 
Hey Guys!

Long time no see. :) Looks like you're all doing well. This morning I did Cathe's Power Hour. I had cut back on my cardio a bit, but I found I really need it for my mental health, so I had to add it back in. I'm still struggling a bunch with trying to gain weight (hence the cardio cutback). Can't get above 110 for the life of me. A little too thin on my 5'8" frame, but maybe that just is what it is going to be for now. :( So I do cardio and then pound a protein shake to even it out! My shoulder is still hanging in there after cortisone and now I'm fighting with my knee. Good heavens! But I keep at it and will get that figured out before cycling season heats up next spring.

Getting ready to go to the fall welcome back bbq at our college. They always have the best chocolate cake. I guess this time I'll eat some. I don't like going to too many big functions on campus these days because EVERYBODY asks me if I'm anorexic or if I'm sick. How rude! Any great responses? :)

M7: Chocolate Pro Pudding w/ 1 tbsp. Naturally More PB

2211 calories (2200 is goal)
60 g. fat - 25%
205 g. protein - 37% (201 g. is goal)
220 g. carbs - 40%


I'm not sure about the Pro Pudding. I tried eating it the other night and almost gagged. I really need to find something good for my least meal. I can't take that crap anymore.

Suz - Good seeing you!!! It is so rude for people to make comments like that. Why is it ok to say, "Hey, you look anorexic." but it's not ok to say, "Gee, you're a real cow!" Double standard for sure. I have no good comeback lines. Maybe Toasty can come up with something. LOL!
 
Hi SuzMax! I totally hear you on wanting to gain weight. I'm 106 pounds at 5'5.5". I've been trying protein shakes too, but I don't know that I'm gaining. I don't have a scale (was weighted recently at doctor's). I've had people worry about my eating habits, too. They don't generally keep worrying once they see me eat. I eat a healthy amount for an active woman of my size, but I don't eat bunches of junk (just bits of junk!). Uh...like the cookie dough I bought last night while grocery shopping...I was so weak, but I will partition it out over several days. One of the best parts of being an adult is getting to eat cookie dough whenever you want. I've been on my own for twelve years and that joy has not dissipated.
I guess I should do my workout soon instead of waiting for the evening. Apparently I'm going on a date this evening...hope it doesn't suck.
 
Debbie - I notice you are putting rotations together on the other thread. That is really cool. You are some what of a celebrity around these parts.
 
yep there is a double standard on the weight thing, no doubt. My family two summers ago (extendo fam) was all talking about me being too little, even though there were definitely some people there who could stand to hit the cardio! I didn't want to be snippy to my family, but I told my mom I know I'm the fittest person in the family (not an exageration) and anyone who thinks otherwise is welcome to a push up contest. I"m not sure if she shared that info with anyone, and like I said, didn't want to be mean to extendo fam, but grrrrrrrr....was frustrating.
 
Diane Sue - I didn't know you had a stress fracture in your back. YIKES!!! I also worry about deadlifts. Weren't we all getting hurt with those way back when about the same time? Debbie? I'm so careful with them now. But they always give me a good burn and I always get DOMS from them. But once I get a deadlift injury it takes FOREVER to go away! Tell Bill hi when you talk to him. :)

Debbie - I'm with you. I don't understand why it's okay to make comments about being too thin but not about being too fat. And so many times it's the people who need to lose weight who say it!

Hermia - That's funny about the cookie dough. I love cookie dough more than cookies. Well, if you've been trying for so long to gain then maybe you're just where you are supposed to be? I am almost starting to resign myself to just being healthy. As long as I'm working out and trying to eat healthy maybe I should just let it go. Actually maybe that's when I'll gain! Good luck on your date tonight!

Yep, I've had issues with deads for a long time. I seem to be able to do them now if I'm really careful and keep the weights under 90#. I always get doms with them as well. It's the best hamstring exercise there is, but a very dangerous one.
