Hardcore Extreme DVD

I am considering purchasing this DVD. I went back and looked at previous comments on this DVD and it seemed like there were some mixed opinions on it. What do you think? Is it worth it? Do you use it a lot? Which is your favorite workout on this DVD?

TIA,

Karin

Karin - I love this DVD, but I think it depends on what you want. All three of these workouts are VERY high impact, and very challenging. I personally think they are some of her tougher workouts. I do these when I want a challenge and a major calorie burner.

I like them all - I probably use 3 most often. I think the Terminator DVD is a better buy if you're looking for one. I do those a lot more often - they're not as painful. :+

I love HCE too!

I think that #2 is my favorite.

There are some slight problems with it in that on one segment they are using an 8" step and then the next segment might be an IMAX 3 interval and they are using a 6" step. Just depends on how tolerant you are to things like that.

Now here's where it gets tricky because I happen to like HCE over the Terminator. Can you get them both?? Just kidding...

You're gonna get a lot of different opinions...just review the breakdown of them both and see what appeals to you.

I enjoy Hardcore Extreme. I've done the first premix 15 times, versus 4 and 6 times for the other two premixes. The first premix is definitely my favorite. I also really enjoy the premix that switches between LowMax and Imax3. It challenges your endurance and is a real leg burner.

I also like Hardcore Extreme. I was sweating profusely after that one the other day. I love, love # 2 the one with Low max and Imax 3, two totally great workouts mixed together for an awesome workout. I don't use the Terminator as much as Hardcore.

I love it for the one that uses Imax 3 intervals than 5 blasts from the BC challenge from KM than Imac 3 intervals finishing off with the last 5 blasts from KM than going into the leg drills from KM. KILLER workout! I like the other one also that alternates LM with Imax 3. I like to do that one when I want to do some type of interval work but not straight up hard core interval work. I have not done the first one yet with the segments from HSC. I haven't used HC Extreme in a while, but I'm glad I purchased it and I think it is worth it.

Actually funny you should ask if I could get both. I am definitely getting the Terminator DVD, but wanted to know if the Hardcore Extreme was good too }( .

Thanks for helping me spend my money :) . I'll let you know how they go!

I've never even broken the seal on this one, and I've had it since it was first released. Too many posts turned me off to it after people complained that the segments weren't put together well. I suppose I should check it out for myself. I love the Terminator though. The workouts are over and hour but they just fly by. The Gauntlet is my favorite. Enjoy!

I love Hardcore Extreme. #2 is my favorite, after that #3 and then #1. It has all the intervals and blasts from IMAX 3. I use this DVD all the time. All of them are very intense and major calorie burners.

I am a huge fan of these workouts but be warned #1 and #3 are killer on the back with all the jumping on and off the step with both feet. So if this is an issue for you, consider that fact. Hard to modify alot of the moves. If you are a fan of circuit workouts it is a great DVD. If you like step, all the Low Max stuff is probably great but I am not a bog step fan so rarely use this workout. I say go for it!
