HARDCORE check in for the month of December 2013

Workout was Kelly Coffey Trim Down workout 1, I modified some, no jacks, shallow 1/4 squats in some places and on the overhead squats I just did the overhead press.34min, 208 calories. I liked the boxing. The only move I skipped was the jacks and just did a side toe tap. I then did her Shape Up Tabata based workout weights only mix skipping the w/u which had jacks and stuff. This was really a pretty good intense workout. The weight mix was pretty much all upper, There was a couple of spots where you were in a lunge or squat position while doing the weights. This was 31minutes, 170 calories. I then put in her Body Shop workout and did the upper only mix on this and included the warm up and brief stretch. 33 minutes, 238 calories. Total time was 98 minutes and calories burned 616.
 
Hi everyone! So I'm back at it. My knees feel great and I did one of my Cardio Coach mixes this morning. I had a great workout. I didn't wear my HR monitor because I'm finding that is making me not want to run and I want to keep running. I get so discouraged in seeing those low numbers that it makes me not want to workout. So today I just didn't wear it and I think I had one of the best workouts ever. So no numbers to show you, but I'm not sure I care. My goal was 2 miles and I ran 2.6 miles. Workout was a total of 42 minutes.

Woke up not feeling too great stuffed up head so did Chest and back work today, Debbie sometimes i think those monitors are off. I was sweating buckets the other day and felt like i had a great burn then I looked at the monitor and I was not a happy girl.
 
Hi everyone! Today I did upper body and just did stuff on my own. I'm getting tired of Cathe right now. I had a great workout. Did two exercises per body part and then did abs in between. I think I'll be sore tomorrow!

Did Afterburn by Toby Massenburg not feeling 100% but did pretty good, stuffy head and cough when I got up but did ease off some, no time for sickness!!
 
I started with 5 minutes w/u on the spin bike then did my knee hab stuff. I followed with X Train all out low impact hit premix step and discs using no risers with the step. I then did Kelly Coffey Shape Up weights only mix. Those 8 rnds each exercise group are tough. I finished with Yoga Shatki shoulder openers and inversions. Total time spent was 75 minutes and calories burned 515 calories. Yesterday I wasn't feeling well and just did some knee hab stuff and the disc stuff for legs off of Flex Train along with the abs. That wait. Still not feeling real well. Coughing like crazy. I woke up at 4:15 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. I have a follow up visit tomorrow morning with my doctor. I want to ask if this leg should be causing me so much pain still. It is hard to sleep.

Roselyn, my husband was home for several days with something. It seemed sort of like sinus. I think I am trying to get it and I have been taking Echinacea and vitamin C trying to avoid it. I hope you don't get anything serious so you can enjoy the holidays.

Debbie, sometimes lately I haven't used my HR monitor. I did today though and was surprised at the 251 calories with the 25 minute low impact workout. I expected really lousy since my movements were not all as big as Cathe's, no hopping, and no risers on the step. I have those days though where I am pouring sweat and working really hard trying to get the HR up and it just doesn't go anywhere. It can be frustrating
 
Hi everyone! Today I did Cardio Coach #1 and had an excellent workout. I can't believe the difference of workouts I'm having not using my HR monitor. I'm working harder because I realize I'm not constantly looking at my HR numbers and not constantly pulling the stupid strap around my chest up. I can actually concentrate on my workout and not worry about all that. The only thing I miss is seeing the calories I burn. But other than when I was counting calories, I never used those numbers for anything. So for now, I'm leaving my HR monitor alone. I'm liking it that way!

Workout was 36 minutes and I ran 2.25 miles.

Told you the office of folks been really sick.........yeah. My first day back, since last friday eek. I'm going to attemp to do a little somethin...somethin tomorrow. Ttyl:)
 
The doctor gave me an injection that he said would make it feel wonderful in a couple of days and last 3-4 months. He says I will feel so good that I should be able to do some of those workouts that I have not been able to. I won't jump right into them though. I have had so much pain, swelling and stiffness so hope things progress for the better. I go back in a week.
Maybe at least the pain will be better and I can get a little more sleep.
I did a little prehab knee stuff and then Amy's step challenge3 w/u and abs 1 with kettlebell modifying the grasshopper and then doing her Kettlebell dynamics abs segment and stretch. I burned right at 200 calories.
 
No workout today. I was going to do legs but my knees are still a bit sore.

Diane Sue - So is the pain in your leg in a different area than where you had knee surgery? If so, why are you having pain in your leg? I hope it goes away soon, that is not fun.
 
Today I did the cardio step from Athletic Step upper premix stopping at the point where they add more risers. I then did The Body Shop back, biceps, and legs premix modifying some of the lower stuff. I then did Low Impact Series Total Body Triceps premix back, biceps and core. I finished with The Art of Flow Yoga with Zuzana.

Debbie, the pain is from the surgery. Really my leg has felt worse at times and keeps me up at night. It feels like there is a knot behind the knee and still clicking and snapping in the knee cap area which makes me kind of wonder why I got the surgery to begin with. I am taking it slow even though the doctor said I could do what can be tolerated. I want it to heal and still be mobile.

Today I did Kelly Coffey Body Shop Split Shoulders and triceps. 17 minutes. I followed with Cathe's Total Body Trisets pre,ix shoulders, chest and triceps, 30 minutes. I then did Lean legs and Abs core and stretch, 15 minutes. Ending with X train Ride first 4 songs and cool down stretch. Total time was 1 hour 28 minutes and calories burned 517
 
Today I did The first 11 minutes of trim down boxing drills , 62 calories, sort of an extra warm up. I then did STS Muscle Endurance Disc 1 Chest shoulders, and biceps along with the extended stretch. 65 minutes,, 399 calories. Total time was 76 minutes and calories 461. I did some knee hab stuff.
 
I did STS dis2 back and triceps w/ the extended stretch, then Brook Benton's Kettle bell Butts and Guts abs, and finished with Amy's Hi/Lo Knockout weighted core training. Total time was 95 minutes and calories burned 416. Maybe tomorrow I can get in some cardio while cooking turkey and waiting for the family to arrive.

This morning I used my Tread Climber for he first time. Workout was 35 minutes, 320 calories and max HR was 160. This was with stops to make adjustments and mess with some things , then having to readjust speed, so I thought it was excellent. I really think I am going to love this machine :D
I then did X Train Burn Sets Back Biceps and core, 37 minutes. 259 calories. Total time was 72 minutes and calories burned 569.
