Hardcore Check in February 2014

My workout today was Party Rockin Step Extreme premix. 61 minutes, 435 calories, Amy Bento Step Challenge 4 first combo, 10 minutes,76 calories, Ab Circuits stability ball abs, 86 calories, finishing with The Art of Flow Yoga with Zuzana, 17 minutes, 52 calories. Total time was 1 hr 48 minutes and calories burned 649. I put in Step Challenge 5 and was having such a hard time focusing on the choerography so quit. I have done the first combo before but I guess my mind had enough of new stuff. Right now I am making some broc-cauli chowder with bacon from Practical Paleo. I have made this before and really liked it.
 
Today's workout was Rockout Knockout, 56 minutes, 373 calories. I then did STS disc 24 back and biceps, 43 minutes, 257 calories. I finished with Ab Circuits Pilates abs, 19 minutes, 68 calories. Total time was 1 hr 58 minutes, calories burned 698.
 
Today I did Cardio Coach #4 and had a pretty good workout. Not one of my favorites but I always like doing it for something different.

Workout was 43 minutes total, ran 2.5 miles and burned about 400 calories.
 
No workout Saturday and Sunday was a 20 minute Tread Climber workout. I finished meso 2 so am on my recovery week. I am not good at really doing a recovery week. I am using lighter weight workouts. Today I did Flex Train 57 minutes, 416 calories and Great Glutes Timesaver #4 standing premix., 46 minutes, 325 calories. Total time was 1 hr 43 minutes and calories burned 741.
 
Today I did an upper body workout on my own. I don't have time to type in all that I did. I will do it later if I get some time. I had a great workout.
 
Today I did 10 minutes of Ride on the spin bike, 107 calories. I then used the Tread Climber for 30 minutes, 345 calories, avg. hr 153/ max hr 171. Then I did the abs from Butts guts along with the bonus stability ball abs, 30 minutes, 158 calories. I finished with Shiva Rea Power Flow Yoga Fire and Water segment, 22 minutes, 72 calories. Total time was 92 min and calories burned 682.
 
Today I did a Cardio Coach Mix I made up and it was a really good one. Consisted of 6 - 30 second sprints with 30 second rest and then 2 - 8 minute treks. Had a great workout.

Total time was 41 minutes, I ran 2.5 miles and burned about 361 calories.
 
This morning I did Kelly Coffey 30 Minutes to Fitness Trim Down both workouts combined, 57 minutes and 459 calories. I am hoping to fit in some yoga today as well. I have errands to do and had to take my pup and leave her at he vet this morning.

Debbie, nice work putting things together on your own. I sometimes like to put in timed intervals on my Tread Climber.
 
TOday was kickboxing,

Hey girls got a question, I have noticed about 5-8 pound weight gain, my clothes don't feel bad couple pair of jeans that were tight to begin with, but i also noticed my calories are not reaching 1000 some days could this be part of it?? I also know I am 49 and may gain some weight but have read that it does not have to happen with menopause. Could it be my diet? I do cardio and weights and was thinking of maybe not so much weight training any advice welcome.

Also, I remember reading a book about feeding the muscle it was not by Tom Ventuo but some other guy alot of good recipes any good books let me know.
 
Today I did a lower body workout on my own and had a great workout. My knees don't hurt at all anymore. I'm so happy about that!

This is what I did:

Squats (warmup) - 15's - 2 sets of 10 reps

Leg Press & Calf Press - 130# (alternated between leg press and calf raises. Did 3 sets of 10 for the leg press and 3 sets of 20 for the calf presses

Deadlifts - 45# - 3 sets 10 reps

Squats - 20's - 3 sets 10 reps

Plie Squats - 30# - 3 sets 10 reps

Power Squats - 45# - 3 sets 8 reps

Legs are fried!
 
Today I did Sharon Twombly's Zero to Sixty, 68 minutes, 523 calories. I then did Turbo Fire Core 20 and Stretch 10, 33 minutes, 134 calories. Total time was 98 minutes 657 calories.
 
No workout for me today, I just could not wake up. I didn't sleep well and have another headache. Getting sick of these headaches. I think it's because it's TTOM. :(

This morning I did T25 Gamma Extreme Circuit, 29 minutes, 249 calories, avg hr 131/max hr 160. I then used the Tread Climber, 30 minutes, 342 calories, avg hr 151/max hr 170, 2.:07 miles. I finished with Calorie Blast Yoga Strong Body Strong Mind segment, 20 minutes, 66 calories. Total time 79 minutes, calories burned 657. I am of to run some errands and tackle projects with my husband this afternoon :)

Debbie, I am sorry that you keep getting those headaches. I have had a few lately but not the migraine type. I hope it get better for you.

Roselyn, I would not give up the weights. It may just be muscle gain. Also muscle helps burn calories. It could be diet. 1000 calories is really low. I am guilty of not consuming enough at times too. I am following a Paleo type of nutrition plan. Monitoring fat a bit but not a lot. It has worked great for me with the knee problem and all of the resting and lighter workouts that I did. Try www.chriskressor.com for some good info. Also I like www.balancedbites.com and there are articles and podcasts here. I have her Practical Paleo book and there is one she recently came out with that is a 21 day sugar detox. You will find recipes and stuff on these. Robb Wolf has some good stuff as well. I hope that you can figure out what works for you.

Question for you girls, I am looking into a yoga dvd and saw yoga relax and yoga max from cathe any recommendations?

More snow this weekend 4-7 maybe no work monday, that is the only good thing!!! I work at a church rectory, and even when school is closed our Monsignor has us still come in!! one of the only churches like that, but he did let us stay home our last big snow so fingers crossed:)
 
Roselyn, I really like both of Cathe's yoga dvds. They have shorter premixes which is nice when time is limited. I think it would really depend on whether you are looking for a bit of strength and calorie burn or more of a stretch out of the workouts. I like the Z cut but, they are pretty intense and have some jumping in them. I really like the older one by Zuzana that is more relaxing that I got from Amazon. P90X2 yoga workout is really good.
