I hope I didn't miss this being started for today. I got my workout in earlier because my grandbaby was supposed to be here. They are late. Workout today was STS Mesocycle 1 Disc 1 chest, shoulders, and biceps(boy does that one have a lot of pushups) 50 minutes 248 calories. Then I did Brook Benton's Kettlebell Butts and Guts 56 minutes 412 calories. Total workout time was 1 hr 46 minutes and calories burned was 660. I will do Turbo Fire tomorrow. I didn't want the impact today.

DianeSue - Is that a good KB workout?

Friday I did Lauren Brooks first KB DVD and today I did AOS Providence.

Of course it doesn't rain all summer long until we are on vacation. We were going to head up to the lake on our bikes but I don't see that happening today. Oh well. We have a few things we want to do this week and we still have time to go up to the lake. I just hope the forecast gets a little better for us. However, it is just awesome not worrying about that place I call a job.

Today was Meso 3, Week3, Disc 31, Chest and Back. I cannot believe I only have two more weeks of STS. That went really fast.

Upped my weights 5% to my 90% max and had an awesome workout.

Warmup:
Flat Barbell Bench Press - 65#/12 reps
Flat Barbell Bench Press - 65#/12 reps

Workout:
Flat Barbell Bench Press - 95#/6 reps
Barbell Row - 80#/6 reps
Did 4 sets. 1 min. 30 seconds rest between each set.
***I wanted to hit 100# but didn't quite make it. Oh well.

Flat Bench Chest Flyes - 37's/6 reps
One Arm Row - 45#/6 rest
Did 4 sets. 1 min. 30 seconds rest between each set.

Incline Barbell Bench Press - 90#/6 reps
Barbell Deads - 80#/6 reps
Did 4 sets. 1 min. 30 seconds rest between each set.

Incline Chest Flyes - 35's/6 reps
One-Arm Horizontal Row - 40#/6 reps
Did 4 sets. 1 min. 30 seconds rest between each set.

That is all...

Debbie - Those are some nice weights. Guess it will be awhile before I see anything like that again.

Linda, I really do like Brook Benton's Butts and Guts. I get a great workout and I don't feel like I am injuring myself. You do get a some upper body in it as well as lower. There are some row's and upright rows in this. I only use a 15# and 20 # kettlebell on this. She starts with a non weighted w/up the goes through each series of moves at about 28 minutes into the workout she does an active rest then you have the option of doing a 15 minute workout of all moves with no rest. She also has this on the menu as a 15 minute Express workout. I went on to do the abs. They are an express workout too. So the total time of 56 minutes was the entire workout:)

Debbie, that is too bad it rained. I sure wish it would rain here. Things are so dry.

Good Morning - Ended up doing Hiit Double Wave Pyramid yesterday and an STS Meso 2 CH/SH/TRI - disc 22 (I think). Spent some time re-working my rotation for the rest of this month (since I was in a sort of holding pattern last week). I still don't have all the kinks out. Grateful to feel so 'back to normal' physically. Today will be STS disc 24 (Back and Biceps) and either one of my new DVD's (maybe the B. Benton one you did, Diane Sue) or some steady state - maybe Step Moves. Did A LOT of different interval training workouts last week. The tabata rounds on my bike and elliptical mix were particularily tough.

Debbie - Yah. Wouldn't you know about the rain  Hopefully tomorrow. Anyway - great workout today. I can't believe you're almost through STS, either. Hope you have a good day, whatever you decide to do :) .

Diane Sue - Good combination today :) . I hear you on the impact. We sure do jump around a lot ;) .

Linda - Good workouts :)

Roselyn - Saw your post yesterday - Glad you're back. Hope you had a great time :)

Theresa - I posted to you over the weekend :) Hope you had a good one.

Hermia - How was the movie?

Cheryl - HI - Know you're busy. Not sure you're around.

Laura - Miss hearing from you.

Forgive me if I missed anyone. Still pretty worn out. Have a great morning :)

Hey everyone,
we saw Inception a couple days ago. Has anyone else seen it? It was pretty good, but definitely a bit trippy.
Debbie, I'm glad you're enjoying not being at work, despite the rain interfering with your plans. I hope the weather shapes up.

Today was yoga class, the lighter one I go to. I wouldn't mind trying a level two class (in addition to the "yogaslim" class I go to on Friday), but my schedule is not so cooperative right now. Maybe later.
