Hard Core Fitness Maniacs for Thurs July 21

Worked chest, shoulders and biceps today. I did Mesocycle 1 disc 1, forgot how intense it can be doing more reps had to go down a little on weights.

Today was total body and I did High Reps. I really like this workout, the more I do it, the more I like it. It's tough. I think the tricep work is the hardest in this one. Really gives you a huge burn.

I still need to work my abs this week. I plan to do that tomorrow.

Today I did URX-MT JB Berns Extreme Metabolic Cardio Blast 51 min, 371 calories, 160 Max HR. I then did Keli Roberts URX-Poly Performance Plyometric Circuit skipping the w/up and doing 20 min then the abs, 25 min, 180 calories. Abs was Jacke Warner's Crunchless Abs full workout 32 min, 185 calories. I finished with Shiva Rea Power Yoga Flow backbending vinyasa 14 min 52 calories. Total time was 2 hr 2 min 788 calories. Tomorrow will be total body again. I am hoping my neck and head is done aching. Much better today they.

Debbie, nice work.

Roselyn, it always humbles me when I do higher reps because I have to lower the weight considerably.

Eats yesterday was
1 1 scoop vanilla whey
2 roast beef with jalapeno mustard
3 Amy's light dinner
4 Amy's light dinner
5 strawberries

Roselyn - I've been doing endurance workouts for a few weeks now and it's incredible how low you have to go with the weights. It's a nice change, though. Nice workout!

Diane Sue - Glad to hear your head and neck is better, that is the worst, isn't it? Nice workouts!

Meso cycle 1 sounds cool...I aspire to getting it at some point, but I've got 2, and I'm gonna get the new low impacts, and I've spent rather a lot of money this month...so I need to hold off. I really like High Reps too. =)

Today I went to yoga class. Had a good class, but I had to baby my toe a bit. Not to bad, just didn't want it in a full flexed position so I crossed my right angle over my left during planks, etc.

Yesterday was the timesaver premix (which is harder than the push/pull, I think) of GS chest and tries. Before hand I did two standing sections and one floor section from Tracey's Core Blast, and then when I needed a couple breaks during the chest/tris weights I did some more ab work on my own.

I'm going to pick up a new pair of workout shoes soon...does anyone know of a brand/style that seems particularly good? I was thinking of getting Ryka transitions like they're using in the new dvds but it seems like no one carries them.

Hermia, here is a pair of Rykas I have used a lot. I purchased several times but different colors.

I don't know anything about the latest Rykas. Lately I generally choose a shoe that should work for my foot difficulties through reviews, and ones that have removable inserts. I purchase inserts from www.footminders.com and replace the others. That has taken care of most of my foot issues. I rarely think about them anymore. The Rykas that I had were very comfy and plenty of toe room. I always preferred the time saver premix on GS Chest and Tris. Good job getting your work in despite the toe.
