HARD CORE FITNESS MANIACS FOR MON DEC 20

I did Intensity today, I really like that dvd, then I did TF 10 abs.

So, how many of you plan on being hardcore on Christmas morning? I am thinking of getting up early to excercise, more so to help de-stress me, I am having my mom-in-law in from Omaha arriving on Wed and then I am having my family and her on Christmas day, ok so maybe a little wine will help later too:)

Morning Guys:D

Yesterday, I had a blast with my family and grandchildren. I cooked way too much food, ended up giving it all to my son’s. I tell you, It is such a chore cleaning up afterwards, gee!

This morning, I really could have stayed in my warm bed, seriously. I just laid there thinking I should call off, just feeling really tired. Any who, this morn, I ended up doing a slow steady run to burn off some calories from yesterday:(

Stats:
45:00 minutes
335 cals burned
3:13 miles traveled

Lori: I decided not to buy Cathe newest series, just doesn’t seem right, when I have so many others I haven’t done:cool:. Good job on Meso 3 I can’t wait to get there:eek:. I plan to add in one more upper body and one other leg workouts to STS OUCH! Hm.....thinking Tony's one on one leg workout would go perfect with STS I’m going to check out LBB preview.

No workout yesterday or today. I have been sick and mostly napping and sitting around. I decided even though I am feeling somewhat better today and the fever seems to be gone that I would take the day off. So much for keeping those holiday calories off. Although I guess I have eaten a lot less the last couple of days so that makes up for it. I am going to take two of my granddaughters to Hobby Lobby and come back here and do some projects and watch movies:D

Roselyn, I was going to take Christmas off since we are having dinner here at noon. I have since changed my mind since I am already taking days off. I will just get up early.

Teddy, I always send all of the not so healthy stuff out the door with the family. I don't want the temptation to stay. It sounds like you had a fun time.

Roselyn - I like Intensity too. Cathe did a great job with that one. Quite a way to start your morning - good work :) I'll probably work out on Christmas Day. It does help with the stress. DS will likely end up over at his dad's in the afternoon, so I'll do it then.

Teddy - Glad you had a great time with family :) I don't think there's EVER a time that my bed feels better than right before I have to get out of it (why IS that  ???). Kudos to you for doing it and getting in your workout. I think sometimes that's the hardest part. Totally understand about not getting the workouts. I get so caught up in seeing/hearing about new DVD's and equipmnent I think I need when really, I have plenty. Have to remind myself that one of the reasons I work out at home is it's (supposed to be) less expensive than a gym membership. I could easily make that untrue. Anyway - good workout today.

Diane Sue - I am VERY glad you are taking it easy today -- very wise. Hope you continue to be a little gentler with yourself even if you do resume your workouts tomorrow (though I think we should not count on that ;) ). This bout with being sick has sure been a tough one for you. Prayers that you continue to feel better.

I'm probably going to start month 2 Insanity today. Either that, or do something lighter today and resume the rotation tomorrow. I can't remember the exact name of the workout -- Max Plyo Circuit or ... something? The recovery week has been nice and I'm a bit nervous, quite frankly, about the "Dig Deeper" business starting up again. It's definitely a different mindset than the one I'm in now (groggy, overcooked noodle, please -- just need more cofffee  ) But -- I will trust that the 'nails for breakfast' Lori is in here somewhere and I surely hope she shows herself later, when I need her :p

Have a great morning -

Lori

Today was supersets and I worked Chest and Triceps. Really enjoyed the workout but had trouble with the tricep exercises. These supersets got me good.

WARMUP:
1 min. rest between each set

Incline Barbell Press & Overhead Extensions - 55#/20# - 12 reps - 2 sets (warmup)

CHEST/TRICEPS:
1 min. 30 second rest between each superset.

SS #1
Incline Barbell Press - 80#/8 reps - 3 sets
ss w/
Overhead Dumbbell Extension - 35#/8 reps - 3 sets
***Extensions were tough, not sure why. Really felt them.

SS #2
Flat Bench Dumbbell Press - 35's#/10 reps - 3 sets
ss w/
Lying EZ Curl Bar Extensions - 50#/10 reps - 1 set
Lying EZ Curl Bar Extensions - 50#/8 reps - 1 set
Lying EZ Curl Bar Extensions - 50#/6 reps - 1 set
***As you can see, I really crashed with the 2nd and 3rd superset of the extensions. Tri's were just giving out this morning.

SS #3
Incline Dumbbell Flyes - 25's#/12 reps - 3 sets
ss w/
Weighted Bench Dips - 45#/12 reps - 3 sets
***Felt good with this superset.

SS #4
Pushups w/Toes on Stability Ball - 12 reps - 3 sets
ss w/
Seasaw Pushups - 12 reps - 3 sets
***This was a killer, especially the Seasaw pushups. Triceps were just screaming at me.

Wanted to do some cardio but this took about an hour because I added one more superset this time.

My PC is down at work and has been since last Thursday. Still trying to get a hard drive for it so I can get it working again. I hate computers. So I'm sorry that I haven't been able to do personals lately.

Diane Sue - I am glad to hear you are resting. Good for you and I hope you feel better soon!

today's been pretty much Christmas shopping, grading, grocery shopping, and cooking, so not much time for working out. I did something quick, the abs from Buts and Guts and then the high impact and about half the low impact from Intensity.
