Roselyn-nice work as usual :)

Debbie-good weights, Be careful out there  We have not gotten any snow for the season yet, and after last year that doesn't hurt my feelings AT ALL

Yesterday became another rest day, as I did a longer stretch segment Saturday and my hamstrings had some wicked DOMS....wth? Anyway, I will just add on a quick workout Friday and all will be right with the world :D Today is another kettlebell workout that I love to hate :D

Morning Guys :D

Can you believe this weather we're having in Ohio Gee!. No workout this morning, woke up only to fine out I had NO power. I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo (yep that much) looking forward to disc 1.

I keep telling myself, to workout this evening, but ain't gonna happen. What's really going to happen is me parking my car on the street and shoveling my drive so I can get in it. I should had followed first mind and kept my ass home:eek:

Nice work you guys ;)

Good morning -

Roselyn - Very good workout there - liked your cardio chaser, too.

Debbie - Wow. Sort of a surprise to hear about your snow. Considering the time of year, I really SHOULDN'T be surprised, but I'd just looked out the window before reading your post. It's supposed to be in the 50's here today. I think this day got lost on its way to April  I hope you get to stay home - safe and warm. You had a great workout today. Nice job.

Theresa - Sometimes I get doms from yoga/stretching - and it's usually in muscle groups where I don't normally get them at all - maybe from long holds? Dunno - Anyway, have fun love/hating your workout today. Looking forward to seeing what you do :)

Teddy - Too bad you didn't get to stay home; being out in stuff like that is horrible. I hope your power's back on  Snow shoveling is definitely a workout -- especially if it's as much as it sounds like you and Debbie have. Be careful today :)

Yesterday, I did Cathe's new Intensity (all the segments). I thought she did a good job with this one - sequenced well and I liked that each section was short -- moved fast from one to the next. I also ended up doing Insanity's Cardio Core and Balance. It's the Recovery workout I'm supposed to be doing this week. It was definitely scaled down from the typical Insanity workouts but still got me breathing and sweating somewhat. You know, I do feel kind of 'fatigued' and probably will ease off the higher impact cardio for the rest of this week to focus on strength training and the Insanity Recovery (all though it does still have some impact in it) -a couple evening's with Budokon/yoga, too. Itching to try the new weight workouts from Cathe, but I think I should spend at least a couple more weeks with the Meso 3 format.

Hope you guys have a good (warm, safe) day.

Lori

Today's workout. Was Rapid Fire premix w/u kickboxing 2, shadowboxing with 1pd dumbbells, floor core & abs with 8pd med ball 45 min 264 calories. Next I did STS Total Body 67 min. 411 calories. Total time 1 HR 52 min 675 calories.

Roselyn - Nice workout this morning! You are really jamming with the weights.

Theresa - Ouch on the tight hamstrings, I certainly know that feeling. Hope they are loosening up for you. Have fun with you kettlebell workout!

Teddygirl - I'm right there with you! You are about 20 minutes from me so I'm getting what you're getting. Last year we didn't get snow until after Christmas. What happened??? We haven't gotten pelted like this in years. I hope this isn't how the whole winter is going to be like. Bummer on your power, I sure hope it's on when you get home.

Lori - I did go into work, it stopped snowing for now but is suppose to come back throughout the day. They are calling for 6" tonight. Oh well, such is life near the great lakes. Love the lake effect snow... I guess I need to do Intensity again. I didn't like it but I don't think I gave it a chance. I'll have to try it once more. Nice going!

Diane Sue - I see you've been using Rapid Fire, how do you like it? What are your favorite segments?

Yesterday's meals were:
L Subway Chipotle Steak and Cheese in a flatbread
S Apple and Pomegranite Crisp with fat free cool whip (not the best) I did change up the recipe a little from All Recipes using some oat bran and wheat germ in place of some of the flour
Shopping so dinner ended up being late. I just ate 6 Schwann's Turkey, Pork,Portabelo, and spinach meat balls. I guess that covers veggies and protein:)
No workout yesterday. It was mmy rest day.

Today's eats:
Post workout- 1/4 cup oats cooked with 1/4 cup pumpkin and 1/2 cup water. I then stirred in 1/2 scoop of Gaspari Vanilla whey and some pure organic maple syrup
L- meatballs again(I need to come up with something else easy
S- frozen thawed pineapple chunks with 1/2 scoop Gaspari Vanilla whey
D- New Oxygen Magazine Turkey and Butter Nut Squash soup substituting chicken for the turkey and a salad

Debbie, I like Rapid Fire. Now I have done all of the segments. I like the abs segments and the shadowboxing a lot. I especially liked the heavy bag segment. I had a little problem with it swinging around with the back kicks since mine is on a stand with a speed bag. The bungee that tethered it at the bottom broke off. I think I like Kickboxing 2 better than 1 but that may change after I do it a few times. It will be fun to see how I like doing the entire workout sometime:D The music is pretty much some of the same stuff Tracey has in some of her workouts.

Yea, the music isn't nothing great, but it sort of has a good beat to it. I like the KB segments but have only done them twice, I think. I used my 1# weighted gloves and that helped alot with my HR. I doubt I'll ever do the workout in it's entirety, its way too long for me. But I love the premixes she did and there is a lot to choose from.
