Happy St. Patty's Day to Everyone . . .

Just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful St. Patrick's Day - this "holiday" is near and dear to me. For those of you celebrating with a libation or two - Slainte! (To health). Kind of ironic to be toasting to someone's health as they down a pint!

Actually, it is a holiday (and a Feast Day) in Ireland. The guzzling of green beer and public stupidness is more an American thing.

Green beer?? Bleech x( . A pint-o-Guinness, please. And I don't care that it takes five minutes to pour it correctly. Good things come to those who wait!!!!

Well aware of the "Americanization" of the holiday . . . I'm still trying to find a bar keep that can pour a 4 leaf clover into the foam of my pint!

A friend of mine owns a bar and he makes the prettiest shamrock on top of his perfectly poured pint!!! And he always serves Guinness at the perfect temperature. Hmmm...I'm thirsty!

Guinness is full or iron and actually good for you ! Well, thats what I hear from my beer loving friends. Here's a toast to you all! Happy St. Patrick's Day!:)

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Anyone else enjoy corned beef and cabbage? My mom made it last night at a family GTG. It was yummy!

Tneah--You're correct. And also...contrary to popular belief, Guinness has fewer calories than almost any other beer. :) Drink up! hehe.

I remember being down to my last few pounds (currency, not weight, unfortunately) in Dublin during college and making the "easy" dinner choice of Guinness over fast food on more than one occasion. :D It's definitely a meal in itself!}(

The memories are so worth it, though! :9 ;-)

Yesterday Heather Mills won a 25.3 million pound divorce settlement after that long court battle with Sir Paul  It looks like I'm making light of divorce but, geez, seems the luck o' the Irish was really workin' for her that time ;-)
