Happy New Year PEEPS

Talk about stir crazy!!!
No power for 2 hours. Yes, go back and read my thread that I was still writing when the power went out. I am a PEEPSICLE!!!! Again!!:eek:

Okay, today while the boys are gone I am cleaning.Yes I know, not much fun, but it eases my stress! Then I promise I will do something just for ME

As I was reading everyone's goals for the New year I was struck (no not by lightning for my fresh mouth) by how many of us are deluged with stress and worries and obligations. Is it the world we live in today??? Is it the never ending list of have to's??? I don't know, but I really think we can all slow down a little bit and put things in perspective. Yeah, that's coming from the nutsy one with a psychiatrist and major phobias!!!! I'm gonna see this all on you tube one day aren't I???? Crazed woman popping Xanax stopped on major bridge into Philadelphia to call one of her PEEPS for help!!!

Financial housekeeping tip
START TODAY- write down everything that is a must pay bill (mortgage, car payment etc) add it up. Then average in the other bills like heat and food that flucuate during the year. Now write down EVERYTHING you spend for the next 30 days. EVERYTHING! And how you paid for it. At the end of the month you will be SHOCKED at where your money is going!!!

I keep a container and put all loose change in there everyday. When it's full I cash it in but don't put it in the bank. I put it in the money jar (Oh my God I am My MOTHER!!!) Anyway, when I need $10.00 for something or 20 I have it on hand and don't have to hit the Mac machine. Because who ever only takes the 10 or $20 that they need. You usually take more figuring while I'm here, etc etc. But then that money somehow disappears because it's in your pocket. So now I have a stash of cash at home for the incidentals and I don't have to really spend any money.

I'll BBL when my fingers aren't sooooo cold!!

Hi everyone! I did get my workout in...YAY! I did 20 minutes of KPC and then remembered why it's never been done in its entirety. No matter what I do to modify, it really seems to bother my knees. So I guess KPC is out of the rotations for me. I may keep it for Legs & Glutes, but I'm more of a total body person myself, not so much a split. So then I popped in Tae Bo Cardio Circuit 1 and did that. It felt good to be moving and it didn't hurt my knees.

Ellie - no power? Yikes! How long have you been without it? Is it due to a storm? Keep warm!!

Wendy - mmmm...that banana bread sounds great! I'll have to try that sometime.

Jerry - glad you had a nice New Year's Eve. Are you going to do the 4 day split using Cathe's 4 day split series or are you going to do it on your own?

Karin - sorry you didn't sleep well...have you ever tried a neti pot? They're weird, especially at first, but they work pretty well and they are a great non-medicated option for sinus issues. Hopefully it will clear up faster now that you're home and able to relax instead of going from one place to another.

To everyone else, have a great day! I'm off to shower...I'm really cold now that all the sweat has evaporated off of me!

Do Patron bottles count? HA! DH and I have been doing this since we met 6 years ago... we have several Folgers plastic containers full of change, and had several massive stashes of coins... so the other thing we did when we first met was enjoy a bottle of Patron tequilla, so since we saved the really cool bottles, I separated out our coins and put them in the bottles... they weigh a ton, but they are so cool! IMHO! :)

UGH! My EYE won't stop twitching! I'm going to take a nap!

I feel like the meanest mom!

Okay, as you know, DD spent the night at a friend's last night. She played with a friend for a little bit today, but for the most part we kept her home because we know she's really tired. She hit a wall just a little while ago. We watched the new Journey to the Center of the Earth movie and then DD decided (at 4:45) that she wanted to go to bed! I tried to get her to nap earlier but she wouldn't. So she was SOOO tired that she was standing at the top of the stairs crying because she wanted to go to bed and I wouldn't let her. I'm not about to let it totally screw up her sleeping schedule! She's perked up a little bit and is watching tv and I think she might make it to at least 7:30 now, but oh, I felt like the meanest mom not letting her go to bed and making her cry! LOL

Of course, the friend she played with today wanted her to spend the night tonight...we had to say no to that one!

Jill: Oh NO! That's a tough spot to be in... Hopefully she got over it (as it sounded like she did) and will sleep through the night with no issues! :) My younger sister would have gone to bed and SLEPT through to the next morning, so it could be worse!

So, just finished posting the first 3 weeks of Cathe's new January rotation... OUCH!!! STS is going to look like a walk in the park compared to that rotation! It's very intense... for me anyway! But I think starting Monday, this is going to be what takes me to STS!

Hope you all had a wonderful 1st day of 2009!

Dani, she did end up getting a second wind and actually played some form of soccer in the basement with DH using my exercise ball. It's her bedtime, but she wanted to take a bath before bed, so that's what she's doing. I am seriously amazed that she lasted this long! And she did get over being crabby, too. I bet she'll sleep in till 8am tomorrow!

ETA: My HUSBAND would be the one to go to sleep and sleep through until almost noon the next day! It's been known to happen during our marriage!
