Happy Hateful Friday-Feb 16

Robin - thanks for the wrap-up.

Arista - I know I'm new in here, but I think you should hit your BF with something heavy and blunt. Purely by accident of course. "Oh no officer, I have no idea how the anvil landed on his head* Practice your innocent look.

I'm supposed to be doing Butts and Guts tonight. I don't wanna.

Shelley, you're such a spark! Oh, this is going to be fun fun fun!

Robin did an excellent job with the introductions -- I couldn't have done it better myself!

Okay, I need to run to Target. I need some ant hotel thingies;(

Shelley, I did B&G last night. I didn't wanna either.

Arista, what everyone says is true. They don't change just because you marry them. Is this what he is always like, or was this behavior a fluke? You know the saying, a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle. At least I think that is the saying. If that isn't the saying, it should be the saying.

That's the saying. There's also "if they can send a man to the moon, why can't they send ALL men to the moon?".

I think, in fact, they get worse once you marry them.

Arista, I just saw your post:eek: . I'm with Shelley and Robin. I really do hope that this is the exception and not the norm. Would you like us to come and beat him up?

I'm going to have a fling with Eli tonight.

I'm leaving now. You girls chat amongst yourselves and I'll BBL:*

ROTFLMAO

Welcome Shelly!! Thanks for your LMAO posts about men. Yeah, could we send 'em to the moon? For crying out loud.

I don't know gals, Ryan can be one of the most sensitive, attentive, sweet, blah blah blah men I know. But on the other hand, he IS sensitive (and he can blow things out of proportion in his heads sometimes) and that can spell trouble. He's grown up a lot though and I know that he'd be a great father and husband. He's protective, but not overly so. He never tries to tell me what I can and can't do. Last night was definitely an exception and a misunderstanding. But I'd say that at least semi-annually, we have these knock-down dragout fights. Not physically of course, but emotionally.

And I'm not one of those girls that is going to bow down to my man. Mama taught me better than that. And I think that Ryan appreciates that quality in me most of the time... but I can be lippy at times, so its not all his fault. :p

Ya know, I don't know if either of us is confident that we want to get married, but we've had a pretty good run so far, and I'm just ready for the next step. But at the same time, why rush it? We don't have kids, aren't planning on kids, and are just enjoying life together.

This is such fun and supportive board! Thanks for letting me vent guys.

Now, a little talk about workouts: I just got back from a 45 minute run/walk. The weather is gorgeous here , sunny , and dry. (sorry girls). And I'm going to do upper body lifting later.

Hey - I'd like to buy a new Cathe workout... any suggestions on a good, cardio and weight training workout? I like complicated choreography, but I don't have a lot of room in my house. (like enought room to do 1 1/2 grapevines side to side and front to back). The only workouts of hers that I have are high step training and low max. I'd love try one of her new ones!

And I forgot to tell you that Tiger, my kitty had to get three of his teeth pulled yesterday due to an infection in his gums. He already seems happier though, so I think they were hurting him. And $650 later.... }(

Oh well, kids would be more expensive! lol

I'll check back later girls. I'm glad you're feeling good Diane! Jen - take it easy, would you Superwoman??

Okay... I'm home now... and I DON'T WANT TO WORK OUT!

Robin & Shelly- Are you telling me you'd rather do CARDIO than B&G??? And if so, wow I will never be able to "grasp" that concept!!! I have always had really strong legs so doing legs just doesn't bother me... I also have a very LARGE butt so I have to work it out consistantly otherwise it would be so huge I'd die!! I thank my mom for my hips, thighs, and butt all the time!

Anyway, I wish I could love cardio & I do really like Powerstrike 1 and KPC but... anyway, I am going to head downstairs and do a 30 minute floor w/o I have called hips, thighs, and butts - it's actually by Denise Austin who I can't stand but if you mute it you don't have to listen to her talk... granted seems like a nice lady but still, that voice!!!

Okay, sorry to be so self absorbed but besides not feeling well I think my body has decided that it thinks this week should be my period... so I have terrible cramps but nothing else... oh yeah that is my other "issue" I haven't had a period in I don't know how long but get cramps every once in a while.

Okay, I will BB in about an hour to actually not talk about myself & reply to ^^^, so I am whiny (sp?) today!

Arista- I think we were posting at the same time, I'd recommend BM2 or Cardio Fusion for a new one... I love DRILL MAX, LOVE LOVE LOVE it but if you don't have much room the others would probably be better.

okay, really going to "workout" now...

And my only concern would be the getting mad at your for talking to someone even if its someone he doesnt like
i lived for 19 years with a jealous man and Id never allow that again

OMG Jen
I loved what you said about Denise Austin
You can do it!!
I think she has some pretty good exersize videos, but i have never been able to stand her talking
now i know its not what she says but how she says it

Arista, I have a wonderful marriage and we still have a couple knock down drag out fights every year. I like a clean house, he doesn't care. He likes sex every night, I don't care. But every now and then one or the other gives in. I thinks it's called compromise. I have to tell you though, if either of you is waiting for the "perfect" soul mate who will keep your romantic love alive forever and ever, give it up. You have to take the prince with the warts.

Now, speaking of workouts, I'm going to go do Cardio Fusion. Then I'm going to figure out how to make my prince take me out to dinner without it being my idea. Later.

Jen - Agreed about Denise Austin. She is so annoying. But sometimes her intermediate level, short workouts are exactly what I need.

Arista - I'm glad your BF is not always insensitive. Men can have laspes in judgment, just life the rest of us. Six years is a long time, so I understand wanting you to take the next step.

I jsut got off the phone with my DH. Greyor is doing much better and is being weened off the ventilator. He should be off it by tomarrow!!! Yipee!!!!!!!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Robin- That is great new about Greyor, he is such a strong little thing! And yes, I think I have shoveled enough too-I can't believe how exhausted it made me, I mean I'd hate to think of what it would do to a person who isn't in shape! We are supposed to get another 1-3 inches tonight and then they are calling for high winds tomorrow, fun. How is the weather out there, hopefully getting better?

Dana- I haven't tried any Gene Miller w/o... I mainly have stuff from beach body and then Cathe. Have you ever checked out some of the workouts from Beachbody? They have a lot of good stuff. Where is the racing banquet you guys are going to? That sounds like a lot of fun. I am planning on taking it easy this weekend, my body is screaming at me to rest so I think I should listen before I get sick.

Diane- I did end up taking it easy, I did a really easy Denise Austin hips, thighs, and butt w/o then swept the house and mopped. Now I am going to be a complete bum tonight and probably most of the weekend. I think I could seriously go to sleep for the night right now... how sad is that? I know what you mean about wondering what is wrong cause you feel good, I worry too much about things too.

Michele- Sorry you didn't sleep well, I didn't either. I have a hard time falling asleep & am taking Unisom a little too much I think. Typically it works great but for some reason last night it didn't work. I tossed & turned all night- probably another reason I feel so worn out today. Your DH sounds like an amazing person. That is so great what he is doing. How long is he in Mexico for? How much more snow are they calling for in Ohio? Hopefully not too much!

Arista- I hear you about men, but like Robin said there is no such thing as a "perfect relationship". I think what is most important is that you need to be friends with your SO besides just being "in love". As the years go on the excitment you feel at the beginning of a relationship wears off a little and you need to actually "like" them and have things in common to make it work over the years. Guys can just be stupid sometimes. It sounds like you guys do have a pretty good relationship for the most part, right? Just don't feel pressured to get married, it doesn't mean everything! I am so sorry to hear about Tiger, the poor kitty... is he feeling okay?

Shelly- So do you offically think we are crazy yet?

August- Where is she? Did Mr. Choco Raisin get here again??? She has been MIA a lot lately....

Terri- You have been MIA also, where are you? Probably busy with work!

Mariah- Yeah, I think that pretty much sums up Denise! It is it still "cold" down there?!?!

It seems quiet here today... BBL!

Thanks for all the good advice guys... Nobody's perfect, that's for sure! And I'm glad to hear big fights happen every now and then.

I'm right with you on Denise Austin. But the fact that her workouts are easier can be really nice sometimes! Good for you Jen for taking it easy. Bedtime sounds good!

Robin - Woo-hoo for Greyor! No more ventilator! That's awesome.

I think Mr. Choco Raisin has finally pulled August under the washing machine to the land of dust bunnies and crumbs!

Dana - I have tried Gin Miller and she's a pretty good instructor. She does intermediate to advanced-style workouts, I think.

Alright, back to work! BBL
