Good Morning Maniacs!!

Yesterday was very very busy and not home much so was not able to post. Worked out my shoulders and abs in the evening. Abs I did solo with various moves.

Today I am gonna do Boot Camp twice.

Today, is my rest day. Every muscle on my body is sore, feels that way, especially me :D legs.

Had a pretty good cardio workout this morning even though I had no desire to do anything. I chose Cardio Coach #6 with Sean and did well with it.

Cardio Stats:
53 minutes
43 minutes in zone
334 calories burned
3.18 miles travelled

Good morning Peeps!

This morning I did legs. I heavied up on everything but I forgot to bring my notebook with me to work so I'll have to post stats later. I think I've mentioned this before but on the Bowflex Revolution everything seems heavier than actual weight. It bums me out b/c I never know what I'm actually lifting. I can hook the piece back up to my bench and compare for my leg extension but I don't have another leg press machine so I might go to the PE building and see what I can press there sometime for comparison. I did the leg extension today and could only do 90#, 8r 3x and I know I can do heavier than that! I do love the Revolution though. :) I didn't do any squats on my Smith machine b/c I ran out of time. I did Bulgarian Split Squats, deadlifts, leg press and leg extensions. I'm going to do cardio when I get home. Maybe PlyoX or a Cardio Coach. I'm hoping to leave around 2:30 or so today.

We have a costume contest at work and our division always dresses up but I'm a party pooper. We've won a few times (and I have dressed up a couple of times). This time they are going to be black eyed peas - they are wearing white t-shirts with a P on them and they are painting one eye black. Hmmm... We have a daycare on campus and all of the little munchkins come through in their costumes trick-or-treating. There are TONS of kids. So cute.
 
I should be working out but I'm watching Regis and Kelly. Kelly has such a cute little body! I'm cracking up here as she is doing a skit where she is Paula Deen from the food channel. She's making butter kabobs and drinking warm oil. Now she's putting the butter kabob in between 2 doughnuts! So funny!
 
My workout is done:D I did the Amy Bento Hot Body Walk treadmill workout first and went 2 miles and burned 240 calorie in 31 minutes, I then went on to do 6.25 miles total on the treadmill. Total calories burned on the treadmill was 697. I then did power ninty X+ abs/core, Butts and Guts Stability Ball abs using a 10# med ball for part of it, I finished with Yoga Booty Ballet yoga core workout( I like this for a change and I get a variety of planks and some yoga and pilates blended in) Total calories burned today was 1023. I called Beachbody again and they are sending out another dvd 2nd day mail since the other one never showed up. It sounded like they were having a party or something in the background.


Dallys, I find that Paula Dean annoys me. Doesn't cook much for healthy food that is for sure.

Suz, my Bowflex does not feel the same. If you are working really hard you know it is effective. It is hard to figure the feel as the Bowflex feels more like bands on a lot of moves. Mine doesn't feel as hard as free weights.

Diane Sue - I was reading on Bodybuilder.com and some said that the Bowflex Revolution was more like weight to weight but not the power rod one. So that depressed me! Seriously though when we first got it I know that I could do more weight on leg extensions with real weights on my bench than I could on the Revolution. So I might put that back together on my bench just to see. Maybe I've just lost strength! :p I can't believe how many calories you burn in a day. You must just have to eat constantly to keep from dropping weight. I guess if you like to eat though, that's a good thing.

I went to our PE dept. and did some squats. They have a squat rack but the kid working down there hadn't taken the weights off of it and the woman who works in the PE dept. treats me like I've never lifted before so I shouldn't do it. Haha. So they have this funny thing that you step into and then you can load it with weights. They think it weighs 40 or 45#. So I lift it and they try putting weights on it but none of the weights fit over it. Funny! So I ended up just doing 3 sets of 15 empty. It's a cool thing though. Too bad none of the weights fit on it. It's nice b/c you don't have to hoist it up over your head or rest it on your neck. Then we went to the aerobic room and she showed me this thing that looks like an elliptical but it's called the Wave and you kind of push your legs out - sort of like you would skating or skiing maybe. WAY cool! I wish I had my workout clothes b/c I would just do my cardio here this afternoon.
 
Happy Halloween Maniacs! Having a great time in Denver. The weather is gorgeous!

I got a good cardio workout in this morning! 30 minutes interval on treadmill, 10 minute jump rope, and 20 minutes on the elliptical. They have a nice fitness room with weights and machines so I will do a weight workout tomorrow.

Diane Sue...you still amaze me! Do you recommend the the Yoga Booty Ballet? Or is it just ok? I like Paula Deen becasue she reminds me of my childhood...my mom is from Arkansas and dad from Oklahoma so we spent summers there and was rasied on that type of food....chocolate and biscuits is too die for!!!! I definetely don't eat like that now!

Dally's...I agree, Kelly Rippa is very cute. She has some good definition...and a great sense of humor!

DH should be done with meetings for today shortly so taking DS to Bass Pro Shop and then to tour Infesco Field.

hey ladies, hope you all are having a happy halloween! I just finished my four hour class, then I have my two two hour classes, and then I'll be leaving almost immediately thereafter for a party, so not much time for a workout. I did do Pure Tranquility, though, when I first got home from my first class. It felt nice to stretch out a bit.

BC twice is nuts! I don't have that one yet, but I think even doing just the preview on Cathe's site would be challenging!
 
I decided to run and pick up another bag of Candy. Bought Charms Blow Pops since I know I won't eat them. I just didn't want to not have enough candy when the trick or treaters come. I decided to stay home this evening and light some candles and relax while giving out candy.

Sonya, I like the Yoga Booty Ballet core workout but it is not high on a recommended list from me. It makes a nice addition once in awhile. The girls on there are kind of corny sometimes JMO My granddaughter was doing it with me once and laughed. I grew up with parents from farm country in Nebraska and we had lots of heavy fat laden stuff, biscuits, gravy all of the time, real cream set out on the table. It was yummy. Took me years to stop doing the same thing. I used to buy cartons of heavy cream to eat on my cereal:0

Suz, I do like to eat:p That equipment in the PE department sounds
interesting.

Charlotte, I remember when Cathe had that rotation with Bootcamp done twice. That was some rotation!
