Hanging Concentration Curl

Hello, Cathe,

I already posted this in the OD forum, but thought I'd ask your advice too, since it seemed a few people were as unsure about the answer as me.

Thanks in advance!

The original post:

In 4DS: boot camp and Bis/Tris, I have a question on how to best improve my abilty to lift 20 pounds on biceps curls, especially on regular curls and the hanging concentration curls.

Should I:

- curls with 20 pounds 'til I can't curls no more (even if I can't complete the set), trying to add one more rep the next time I do this workout

OR

- curl with 20 pounds until I cry real tears, then drop to 15 and complete the set

OR

- curl with 20 pounds (on the hanging curl) until I am cursing Cathe and everyone that looks like her, and then help myself out with a little cheat with the opposite hand for the remainder of the set. In other words, use the right hand to help get the left hand up and then return the weight to the bottom with my left hand only (little cheat on the positive/work the negative without a cheat).

Thanks for reading!

How did you get to 20 pounds on the traditional curls? After using all the other weights in the previous sets, I can eek out about 3 or 4 curls with 20s before I have to put the weight down and finish the set with 15s.

Thanks!
