Hang On Melters - Wednesday

Goodmorning gals! Looks like the descending order issue has been solved here. We won't have to go look on page 56 for our thread today.

Deb, I had to go to the basement this morning and found big, fat Paddy cat sitting on the steps, looking down. When I turned on the light, I saw movement near a pile of spilled birdseed. I'm pretty sure it was a mouse. My dippy cat was watching it - not catching it - just watching it!

Tneah, sorry you get stuck with boat-cleaning duty. I hope you are just talking about the living quarters and not the decks etc.

I woke up about 3:30 and couldn't get back to sleep, thinking about piddley stupid stuff. We have Bible school the week we get back from the beach and I have a bunch of odds and ends to take care of before we leave. Then I had to worry about what and when to pack for tomorrow's trip to New Jersey. Oh, and what to make for dinner tonight. And what it would be like if DH suddenly died. Yeah, where the heck did THAT come from? Guess I better add my old tag line to my signature - worry is a waste of imagination.

Hopefully we'll get some news from the state about our nasty bug. I'm getting a haircut after work, then have to pick up some groceries and scurry home for a workout. No idea what yet. Maybe some all body weight work. Did I mention I got a copy of the New Rules etc?

OK, this is getting kind of long and it's almost all about me. I'll be back later to see what's all about you!

Morning Robin and all who follow~

Robin - I hate when I wake in the middle of the night and can't turn my mind off! I hope your day flies by.

Once again, I turned off the alarm this morning. Yesterday evening I managed a 4 mile run in 37:48, which is acceptable. Didn't do much apart from that and stuff my face. Ugh.

Off to check on last night's stuff. I'm very happy to see the thread order issue is sorted out. That was driving me crazy.

Good Morning Meltie Ladies!

Not a lot of time to post, just wanted to get on and see what's up with the early birds. I too turned off my alarm, as I was getting crappy sleep and was hoping to get an extra hour and a half in.. so no workout today..

DH set another trap, no mouse yet. It is so humid here that I feel like a slob going to work with my hair pulled back all the time.. I can;t see sweating through flat iron etc just to have it frizz up 2 minutes later.

I never found out how to add smiles to the actual post, only to the title from the ones at the bottom...maybe you use them for both? just tried it and it didn't work... I am such a computer novice! I'm glad that the sort thing has been fixed!

Deb

Hi,

I still can;t figure out the "quick reply" it never works for me...neither does the Edit function...what the heck does the "rating" mean? I see our Meltie threads get 5 stars!

Deb, beats me what the rating is all about, but I vote 5 stars for us everyday! What does your DH use for bait? Our mice love chocolate. And so far, I have never gotten my finger stuck in the trap trying to beat them to it!

Shelley, glad you got your run in yesterday.

BB in a bit.

Deb, go to your control panel. Under Settings and Options, click on Edit Opitions. Scroll all the way down to the last heading and use the drop down box to select Enhanced - WYSIWYG. Save. Then you can use the smilies and will get a toolbar for colors, other fonts etc. Oh, and I used edit under OD this morning and it worked. It's taking time, but the bugs are being fixed.

HI melter Friends!

I just popped in to see how everyone is doing.

Robin- sorry about your mind robbing you of precious sleep! your kitty needs remedial mouse hunting lessons!

Shelly- nice time for a 4 miler! How is life?

Deb- the humidity this summer has been more like the south! It makes nice hair a challenge for sure! And running outside? nope! I am sticking to the treadmill!

I hope all the melty ladies are having a great summer!

Hey Kittens

I too turned off the alarm. What a lazy arse. Anyway, now that means I will have to work out when I get home, which I hate doing. It is so much nicer having it out of the way. I think Tayler still feels a little crappy, but I have to go to work.

Just a quick hello.

Hi,

Thanks Robin! I now have a small selection of smilies to choose from and can see how you can change your font!

I am leaving on a positive note!

Have a great day:rolleyes:

Deb

Deb, glad I could make your day a tiny bit better.

Grrrrr, the forum keeps logging me out when I minimize the screen. Sigh.

Hi Judy, glad to see you on the new and (maybe someday we'll think) improved forums. How's things? Still running?

Speaking of running, I never heard from my friend who invited me to run a 5K with her while on vacation. I think the race is the day we'll be returning home, so no race for me. Kind of sad. But not sad enough to look into a race closer to home.:p

Morning Peggie. Sorry to hear you had the roll-over-and-sleep-in blues this morning. Must be in the air, since I had to get DD out of bed this morning too.

Good morning, everyone!

Robin - My mom is in the midst of planning VBS too, and she did the same thing you did. You should have seen the list she came up with after getting up several times the other night. It was impressive. Thanks for the WYSIWYG info. I'll do that just as soon as I get done here!

Shelley - I'd say your time is definitely acceptable! Great run!

Deb - ah, humidity. Nasty stuff, isn't it? I give up on my hair in the summer too. Good luck on the mouse hunt.

Judy - it's good to see you again!

Peggie - I'm glad Tayler is feeling better!

Okay! I'm so glad the forum issues are fixed! Now we can really get down to business!

Last night I did the 4DS upper body premix and got a nice workout. I didn't lift my heaviest, since the workout is so long, but I felt really good afterwards. Today I'm supposed to do CC 6, but I really think I want to do CC 8. Does anybody want to take bets about whether I'll stick to my schedule or not? ;-)

I think the work situation is calming down. Maybe nobody will blow up today. And it seems that a bit more work is starting to trickle my way. Keep your fingers crossed.

Hi, girls,
I know I have been a very lame Melter lately :(, but it's been a crazy week! My DDs and I volunteered at the national worship leaders conference from 10:30 until 9:30 yesterday, and when I got home, I had to do some computer work for National Charity League. Needless to say, I only barely scanned yesterday's posts. Since I leave early in the morning for RT and I haven't packed one thing yet, I probably won't have much time today. Also, my DDs have dental appts. So please forgive me for my lack of personals, know that I love you all and really value this group, and trust me that I'll be back in the groove next week.

My workout today will just be CM3, SM2, and maybe some beginner hip hop with my DDs.

I slept terrible -- RT jitters, I'm sure. I woke up at 5:00, went back to sleep, and had a very bad dream about our house being broken into.

Robin -- Mice -- ick!!! I, too, hate it when I can't shut my mind off when it's time to sleep!

Shelley -- I'd be happy with that run time!! Feeling any better?

Judy -- Hi! Good to see you!

Shannon -- You are too funny with your CC8 addiction. I was thinking about that yesterday when I was on my elliptical doing iClimb. I think I am going to break down and at least order CC8. Fingers crossed for you at work.

Deb -- Humidity is gross! Mice are gross! I'm glad you found your smilies!

Peggie -- I hate evening workouts, too. I just don't have as much energy.

Hi, and big hugs to Tneah, Leanne, BG, Lainie, Kara, Allison, and Jennifer. I hope I got everyone!

Maybe I'll BBL, but if not, I'll "talk" to you all next week.

Hi everyone!

OMG, I can't even tell you how happy I am to see that the checkin-thread issue has been resolved. Don't ask me why I was stressing about that so much. I'm a freak.

Dinner went well last night. It was long and tiring but I've been getting compliments all day from the executives about how well I did. They want me to get into international sales--which means moving overseas for a minimum of 6 months! No thanks. I'm not leaving The Boy!!! ;)

You wouldn't believe the amount of food I ate at dinner last night. ***I just typed out a list of all the things I ate and then deleted it. WAY too embarrassing....*** So I got up this morning and did PLB, KickMax Blast Challenge and then KM Leg Conditioning Drills. My a$$ hurts already...

Tneah--I can't believe you're going to be living on a boat permanently! That is so freakin cool! Don't work too hard cleaning the boat you're on now, k? I'm sure the inspectors will think it's faboo no matter what!

Robin--I'm LMAO at your mouse-watching cat! Mine would do the exact same thing!!! He's old and lazy. The other one would rip the entire house apart trying to catch the thing, I'm sure. She's a nutcase. I'm sorry you were worrying this morning and not sleeping. I can't WAIT to see you on Friday! I am honestly so excited I feel like I could cry any second. Uh oh...here come the RT waterworks again....

Shannon--I'm not even gonna bet that you'll change your workout plans to include vol. 8--it's pretty much a given. You're hysterical!!! I still haven't tried vol. 8 yet!

Hey to Shell-Bell, Peggie, Deb, and everyone else. I'll be back later. I'm taking a half day today in honor of the RT. Not that I have that much to do....I just wanted to take a half day....YIPPEE!!:D

Allie - tiny piece of advice.... don't pass up the opportunity to work/live abroad for six months. It's only six months, and you'll regret it later if you don't go. Trust me on that. If the Jim thing is as good as you say, it will manage for six months being long-distance ;)

Morning All!

Allison, I had to agree with Shelley right away, go international, take that opportunity! Please! Jim will be here for you if he "is the one" okay? Seriously, you might regret not doing this years from now. Just my little piece of advice too.

Shelley, our resident gazelle! Way to go on those times chica. You are so fast! How are you feeling lately?

Robin, I never wake up worrying like that, I just do it in my head all day long and drive myself nuts. Gross on the mouse, LOL about your curious cat and your mice really love chocolate? That is hilarious. Enjoy your pampering today (haircut)...not sure if it feels like pampering, I hate getting my hair done, but at least you get someone else to wrestle with your hair and make you look beautiful for an hour or so right?

Deb, glad you got the forum stuff straightened out darlin'. I know, I might be getting used to it a little more each day. Hows the Keegan man?

Kristi, You do more volunteer work than anyone I know, you are so sweet. have fun packing for the RT tonight, don't forget to pack extra underwear! Don't I sound "mom-like?":p

Shannon, you know you want to do CC8 sista, just do it!;) I did CC7 yesterday, I adore that one, simply adore it. Time flies and I love it when Coach Sean says, "Let's see what ya got barracuda!" Oh, he is dreamy isn't he?

Hi to all my other lovelies this am...
Well, AF is like starting all over again this morning! Usually by today, it is all gone, but this morning I woke up to it again, nice and heavy. Geez, how much blood can one person lose in three days? I commented on it, and prompted DH to launch into a tirade about how I have totally screwed up my hormones with the thyroid and that program, yadda-yadda-yadda. I swear sometimes I think he just lays in wait to totally tear me apart about my bad choices. Sheesh.
Oh, and we totally need a pita chip intervention round here...I bought some for the boys, they loved them of course, but then I had to sneak some too, those things are evil man...
I have legs on tap today, hope AF slows down, and some cardio, was thinking about an itread. Its so hard not having a Cathe cardio to choose from.BBL to chat...Oh, and cleaning the boat, means even organizing all the drawers, closets, etc....ugh.

Hey Miss Peggie! I want to call you "Peggy Sue" for some reason, wasn't that a movie with Nick Cage--who I find very sexy BTW. Glad Tayler is better...and did I read you got a promotion?

Good morning all. I am so exhausted today. My eyes are burning with fatigue. I think I may take a rest day unless I get some energy back soon. Do you think it could be the penicillin? Does that make you tired? I even ordered grocery delivery (something I hardly ever do since moving here because they charge too much) for this afternoon so I could stay home. I’d be in my bed right now if the boys would actually let me sleep. Instead I’m on the couch watching an episode of Doctor Who. Lordy, the Doctor is so adorable.

Blog-Doctor-Who.jpg

Man, I can barely focus on writing this morning. Anyway, if I end up taking a rest day today I’ll have to juggle the workouts for the week a bit since we’ve got our trip to the mountains this weekend. I might go ahead and do S&H Triceps & Biceps tomorrow as planned and then do Legs (which was planned for today) on Friday morning before we leave. We won’t be leaving super-early because Brian has a work conference call he’s going to do first.

I was disappointed to find the Nutrition software messed up this morning. Yesterday I had calendar trouble (as did other people, it seems) but the Nutrition stuff was fine. Then this morning all my info was gone. :( I had the next few days planned. At least I’d printed a grocery list (which I used to order my groceries) so healthy food is on the way. I hope they fix that bug soon!

Robin, I read about your weird bug last night—hope you get answers on it soon and that no one gets sick from it! I’m sorry to hear you had such a rough night of over-thinking. Here’s my favorite worry quote:
"Worry does not empty tomorrow of sorrow - it empties today of strength." ~ Corrie Ten Boom

Shelley, good job getting that run in.

Deb, good luck with the mouse problem. I haven’t had mice trouble since moving here (knock on wood). And ants are the only bugs that have been much of an issue. We had a terrible cockroach problem in London (and I really HATE roaches—at least they weren’t huge flying ones like we had in Texas, but they were still nasty). I swear I kept that tiny kitchen as clean as possible—and began storing everything extremely carefully—even entire cereal boxes in ziploc bags and stuff. We had numerous visits from the building’s exterminators. I felt like there was some kind of mysterious roach vortex in our flat’s kitchen. Ugh, shuddering at the memory.

Hi Judy, good to see you pop in!

Peggie, hope Tayler improves some more today and gets over the crud.

Shannon, good luck with the crazy work situation.

Kristi, man, you’ve been so busy lately (but I’m guessing you keep pretty busy all the time). Don’t be jittery about the RT—you know you’ll have a fabulous time.

Allie, what a great compliment that the executives think so highly of you. Crummy timing that you get offered the international option so soon after finding the lovely Boy. And I agree with Shelley, give it a bit more consideration. Living overseas was such an incredible experience.

Tneah, sorry about the AF trouble! I used to often go 3 days, then think I was done on day 4, then it would kick in strong again on day 5. Ugh. Tell DH to stuff it; your hormones have tiny weird hormone-minds of their own, even if you don’t mess with them.

I'm probably cross-posting with Leanne now.... HOLA to all who follow.

Mornin' Melters! How's everyone today?

I'm so glad they fixed the thread order in this forum. Much better!

Robin, deep breaths! You sound like me - thinking and worrying about every little thing. You're not going to bring your nasty little bacteria to NJ with you, are ya? :p Just teasin'!

Shelley, 4 miles in 37-something minutes is more than acceptable! Give yourself some credit. I certainly can't run that fast.

Deb, I see you've got a mouse problem too. You reminded me that we need to set a trap in our garage - I've seen the little rascal scurrying around out there. We always use peanut butter for bait - works like a charm. We use humane traps, because I can't stand the thought of killing them. We take them out to the local park and let them go.

Hi Judy - good to see you around!

Peggie, it looks like several of us slept in this morning. Myself included. I couldn't get out of bed - it was so nice and comfy. And I kept thinking "Hey, I'm going 5 workouts this weekend - I think I can take a rest day today!"

Shannon, I'm crossing my fingers about your work sitch. Have fun with whichever CC you decide on!

Kristi, can't wait to meet you in person tomorrow! :) I still have all my packing to do, too. Ugh.

Allie, Shelley's right - you'll regret not taking that overseas job. It's only 6 months - the time will FLY!

Tiffany, you poor thing with your messed up hormones! Have fun cleaning the boat! And YES, there was a movie with Nicholas Cage called Peggy Sue Got Married. It's from waaaaaaay back in the day (meaning - the 80's). :p

Alright, I better scoot. Lots to get done today!

ETA
Hi Lainie!!! Sorry you're feeling so exhausted today. I have no idea if penicillin can do that, but I hope you get your energy back soon.
