I did this gem earlier today. I like the heavy weights used, however, my triceps are still so sore from Sunday's GS C&T that the one-arm rows were tough (to say the least). I enjoyed the new moves Cathe put into this workout. Using a barbell for pullovers was dynamic as well as the way the lower back was worked. Shoulders was another toughie. Love it! I felt as if my shoulders would look like softballs by the end. hahaha I liked sequencing of the exercises for Biceps. All areas of my arm was worked thourougly.

I am with you on this one. I did this before work today and am certainly feeling it now. The lats are probably feeling it the most. I am not sure if it is from the underhand grip rows or the band. What is your take? Really liked the over the head pullovers with the bar too. Tough!

I am new to the band work and cannot seem to go as high as Cathe on some of the shoulder work and also need to find a good hand grip or band wrap. I am 5' 11'' and wonder if my height plays a role in the height I can take my arms up? Did you have any of these questions?

I'm doing this one for the first time tonight. What weight does Cathe use for the barbell pullover? I have two barbells because don't adjust easily (screw on thingy)
 
Nancy, I too have difficulty getting the band as high as Cathe, but I'm not quite 5'3". So, I bet your height does have a lot to do with not getting it as high. I'm new to using the bands as well. Maybe they come in longer lengths. Hmmm...

Juilabelle, If I remember correctly, Cathe uses a 25lb. barbell for pullovers ~she does say the weight ahead of time, so if you want to fastforward to double check before you get started, it may be a good idea. Enjoy the workout!

Just wanted to pop back in to say I did this one last night and my biceps are still burnin! It was great. I wasn't able to use the exercise bands I bought at WalMart - too short, darn it!x( so I substituted light dumbells. I'm glad I only picked up 10 pounders for the concentration curls - thanks to you guys I knew I would need to go lighter since there are about a bazillion of them!:D Overall this was a great workout. Didn't waste a minute of my time and thoroughly worked out each muscle group! Julia
 
I agree, this workout is a gem! I liked the bicep focus work, a favorite of mine! Loved the newness of working with the dynaband! This was fun, yet tough!

Yes, Gym style Chest&back and Tricpes&biceps is incredible!! I thought my bicpes were gonna pop...LOL I am going to do GS: shoulders and legs today along with IMax3.

If you have increased muscle soreness after workouts, try a protein supplement(Shake or protein bar) before your workout and after your workout. I have added this to my workouts and I have noticed almost no muscle soreness after my workouts. I really thought that I would be sore today, but I am not that sore at all:) :) :) :) :)

i'm sure it must.. cuz she says if you aren't feeling it.. gripe it lower... well.. you already have more tension cuz you are 9" taller!

Height is definitely an issue. I'm 5'9" and the band just doesn't stretch as far as it does for someone 5' and change. I feel like I need a longer band.

the 3-pack????? are you tall? or are they just short bands.... i was planning on getting them for the heavy band.. but it they are short.. guess i'll have to look elsewhere! (i have the green one i got with my pre-order but want something with more tension!)

I have only just previewed this workout, but I can tell it is consummately planned and executed. It looks set to become a classic, with greater emphasis on strength than endurance. I look forward to doing it.
