Hello all:

I got GS awhile back and finally got the bands. Today I did GS Back, Shoulder and Bicep and loved it.

I'd love to hear your results???

I don't know specifics in terms of fat lost/muscle gained, but since beginning GS, I've been able to lift more than I ever have before. My endurance AND strength have greatly improved. I love GS!!!

I have only been doing GS for three weeks and haven't done my measurements in a while, but I *feel* a lot stronger, can definitely see muscle definition developing, and have been getting lots of compliments lately. I love this workout!!

When I first got the GS series and was using them a lot, I was standing on my parents porch with my hands on my hips at night with the porch light on and my visiting uncle said that I looked buff. No weight or measurements taken, but I felt buff..tee hee!

I only have GS Legs, so I can't comment on the upper body stuff. But the Legs routine is out of this world. I've gotten by far the best results from it and make sure I do it once a week no matter what. My quads, especially, are much more defined than they used to be. And besides, I think it's the most fun of all Cathe's leg workouts, which is probably one reason why I see results - I can really get into it because I like it.

I have the GS series and love every one of them. I've gotten stronger, a little more muscle size and shape (I'm skinny ecto and it's hard for me to make muscle gains), and definitely definition of my little muscles. I finished my first rotation with GS 2 weeks ago.

I've been doing a different rotation the last 2 weeks and want to go back to GS. I highly recommend them.

I have made major strength and endurance gains with the Gym Styles-more so than with any other of Cathe's strength splits, both upper and lower body. After doing Gym Styles for 4 weeks I did Power Hour and was amazed how I just blew through it at my prior weights like I was barely lifting!!!!!! Another great thing is that I have NOT experienced any tendonitis with this series like I seem to with all her other stuff.
My upper body got a bit more defined, but I didn't see a lot of lower body change. However, I carry so much fat there I don't think anything would change it that much other than major dieting. My body does not change easily unless I diet pretty strict. Alas, I am 48.

Thanks so much Gina, SeekingGuns, Angela, Shannon, Melody, Beth

Sounds like I should do 3-4 weeks of it and see what results I get. It sounds like S&H is still probably the best for building definition but I really like GS so I'll stick with it.

Sounds like strength gains are almost a guarantee!

Thanks

I was the strongest that I ever was when I did GS for about six weeks. I did an hour of cardio, and then I tacked on one body part a day. It really toned up my upper and lower body.

Nowadays, I have bumped up my cardio in an attempt to shed a few more pounds, and it has helped me in my weight loss. I am doing less weight training now, and I have lost some strength, but I am still toned.

Caitlan - Good to hear it.. wow 6 weeks. I dont think I've ever kept to anything that long ;)

Maybe I can aim for 3 weeks on GS and 3 on S&H. I do L&G in addition for lower body. I just can't beat the results.

Thanks for the info.

Beth, it doesn't matter that you are 48. I turned 53 on May 9th, and I have lost about 15 pounds since January and increased my muscle tone. We may have to work a little harder to do it, but we can still do it. Unfortunately, good eating also has a lot to do with it.
