Went to the Dr. this morning and I know I shouldnt be bummed but I am. I never weigh myself because it usually bumms me out, I just go by the way my clothes fit. Well today they weighed me and I was 145 lbs. I'm 5'71/2. And I had'nt even ate anything and I had the DR. gown on so I can't use that as a excuse. I was just shocked I thought from what size of clothes I wear and how I look I was probably around 125. I wear a size 2 in jeans and pants. Now I just feel really down about it and needed to vent. Thanks, Lori

Lori, girl you are tiny - size 2! Don't let the scale get you down; it's evil...I'm convinced! :p

You are tall, must have some nice lean muscle mass and I'm sure you look amazing! Remember muscle is dense - woo hoo. It's good to have lean muscle mass. :D

Lori 5'7 and size 2 you might look great!!! Remember muscle is heavy than fat, so if you have a muscle you are going to be heavy, but not because your fat.
Good for you!!!!

Huh, I'm 5' 6 1/2", weigh around 145 in the morning on a Thursday, and am a size 8 or 10.

Don't feel bad the number on the scale doesn't mean a thing. If you could clean up your diet do so but it sounds like you have lot of muscle mass and could kick anyone's butt!! Be proud of yourself and don't let a number mess up your day.

Now drop and give me 20 like nobody's business!

Funny that you post this. I have a Dr appt on Friday, and I'm dreading the scale more than the stirrups! At a size 2, I doubt you are fat. My right thigh isn't a size 2. I'm flustrated bc I am doing 6 months of STS ( I start M3 today) and have gained a about 3 lbs, but my pants are all loose, and I look smaller. I know I weigh less than I did last yr when I went to the Dr, so he won't know I've gained a few, but its still annoying. If it makes you feel any better, I'm a size 10.

Its all so confuzzeling,

Nan

I'd be more bummed about being worried about being at a healthy weight. Sorry kids, but being a size two just isn't natural for most of us. I haven't been a size two since the fifth grade....and if I stuck my tongue out I would have been mistaken for zipper.

Thanks girls it helps to here your perspective. I do eat healthy all the time and have been working out with Cathe for 15 years. About 2 months ago completed 6 months of STS. So this is why I was shocked by the number 145. Because of the way my clothes fit. But it got me thinking well maybe I'm not as small as I was starting to think. It is all so confusing and it plays with our heads!!

Just remember it's JUST a number. I am pretty much the same height as you and weigh the same (pre-pregnancy weight although I haven't really gained anything yet). I can't boast of having been a size 2 anytime in the past 15 years, but I'm happy enough with how my pants fit. ;) 145 is nothing to be ashamed of!

You like the way you look and the way your clothes fit. Those should be the only criteria to judge by, not weight, which doesn't mean a heck of a lot (it doesn't distinguish between fat and muscle, for example).
