Got thru Circuit Max when I didn't think I could.

I did Circuit Max today. I'm so thrilled. I have always been intimidated by Cathe's cardio so I mainly did her weight workouts and the early step ones. I just didn't see how I would ever be able to do that high intensity cardio.

Well today I did Circuit Max. I did have to modify down once in a while on some of the hi/lo but not nearly as much as I expected. This workout really has everything: great cardio and decent weight work. I can see myself going pretty heavy once I'm familiar with the workout.

I posted this to encourage people to try some of these difficult workouts. Sometimes you can do more than you think you can.
 
WTG, Jane!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Circuit Max was my first Cathe workout, and I was hooked from there!! Soon you'll have all of them, just like the rest of us do - LOL! If you enjoyed the cardio in Circuit Max, you will LOVE Imax and Imax2!!! I was intimidated at first by her cardio as well, but now I really love it, and like you, I was amazed by how much I really could do!

I've got Circuit Max on the agenda for tonight; I always get the willies when I don't do it every two weeks or so. Still one of my faves.

Congrats on getting through it! The more you do it the more "doable" it will be . . . although never easy!

kudos to you! and you are soooo right, we sometimes underestimate our capabilities. Circuit Max is my yardstick, more so for me than the Imaxes. I know that once I'm getting through this tape, and not feeling like I'm gonna die, I am at peak fitness.

So, there! You are at peak fitness! Enjoy and stay there as long as you can!

Oh my....this is about the only one I don't own. I even have the Body Blast tapes with the DVDs on the way....but I have never bought this one...don't know why. But if it actually give A-Jock the willies, I am going to have to break down and get it. I have become a big fan of the circuit workouts. For some reason they increase the sweat factor big time. Ah the joy of this forum...always a new excuse to spend money.

Circuit Max is a real killer. I can breeze right through the hi/lo part, it is when we get to the bench part that my tongue really starts hanging out.

It is a great tape.

I think CMax is the hardest of all workouts Cathe has ever made! It's like IMAX except instead of the recovery period you do squats AND upper body weight lifting at the same time. No recovery time whatsoever in this thing. My hats off to whoever can do this without any modifications!!!!

OMG that is so funny - I never thought of it like that, but you are so right!

Congrats to anyone who can make it through this workout - no matter how many mods.
 
I am so glad to read these posts. I had no idea this workout was such a toughie. I ordered it and thought this can't be so bad - I was suprised. I have completed it every time without modifications but kept wondering if it was just me cuz I must admit I was glad when it was over. I grow a little fonder of the workout every time I do it.

Congratulations!! I think this is one of her toughest next to MIC! If you made it through these you can do anything!! I feel so great when I'm finished! (I am pooped the next day though and have to do a lighter workout)
