Good Morning SNM question on dvd player please

I have a JVC dvd VHS combo player maybe 5 years old. I was thinking I may need to upgrade. Can you suggesst a good one that will work with the new dvds or what should I ask for when I am shopping. I thought you would be the best to ask if possible.

It is really hard to say which players will not have a problem with the new DVDs. At this point we still don't no the reason for the problem some players are having.
