Goals for 2007

My one goal for 2007 is to be able to wear a bikini to Aruba at the end of April. It's been in my bottom drawer since the end of summer '05.

Happy New Year everyone!

Melissa

I'm running my first marathon in NOvember. I'll run a half marathon in May.

I'm sure you've heard of the SMART plan for goal setting:

S -- specific
M -- measurable
A -- Agreed upon (or attainable)
R -- Realistic
T -- Time Specific (or trackable)

Go girls go!

Goals for 2007 subject to expansion:

1. Focus on quality rather than quantity. I'm really pretty picky about this already, but still am going to try to tighten it up: ongoing discipline.
2. Make a shift in my friendships to those with whom I have the most in common and those with whom I enjoy being the most. B'bye to those drinking friendships where you never really have a good conversation. Ick.x( I'm halfway through my life (I hope) and it's time to move on.
3. Make the effort to dress nicely everyday, fix my hair, etc. so that I have that extra confidence that comes from feeling "together." I have long thick hair, so this really is a challenge.
4. Have a neuromuscular massage at least once a month. Wow - what a difference that makes. My boys' college tuitions made me get out of the habit, but I'll just eat less food to be able to afford the massages:7 :7 :7
5. Follow the Eat to Live/vegan diet. Whoa Nellie, that makes me feel SO GOOD. Definite resolution.
6. Read my way completely through the Radcliffe Top 100 English Language Novels. (In 2008 I will read through the Modern Library top 100).
7. Work in a couple really good trips to West Texas and New Mexico to wallow in the dry, cool climate and hike my a$$ off with my precious Boxer, Lola. Husband is no fun on such trips except when it's time to go for drinks and dinner.

Fitness:

-get stronger
-add muscle
-an ab six pack

Life:

-become a better teacher for my boys
-become a more patient wife
-finishing writing at least 2 of the books I've begun
-do more for others
-make at least one person smile everyday

Fitness Goals for 2007

I am prioritizing my fitness journey this year. My goals are to shed 100 pounds and start running by the end of the year. :)

Blessings,
Heather B.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1 NIV).

As usual, I want to lose some weight ( about 15 pounds ). I've just started running a few weeks ago, doing 2 miles a day ( a big deal for me ) and I want to be doing 4 miles a day by the end of the year.
