Girl Scout Cookies .

My sister has 6 kids and 4 of them are girls. Needless to say, Girlscout cookie sales abound in my family. I got an email recently saying they were selling 'em. I used all of my self control and did not buy one single box! I am so proud of me!:7

Ofcourse, I managed to eat way too many cookies this afternoon that were left-overs from the party I had y'day but hey...ya win some, ya lose some, right?

I don't know if this has been mentioned (I didn't read through the thread), but with the girl scouts around here you have the option of buying a box and then having the troop send it to the soldiers. That is what I did. I bought a box from every girl who asked me, paid for it and then had it sent overseas to our men and women. I thought it was an awesome way to enjoy GS cookies: It is good on the heart, soul and thighs!

thanks missy i will have to try to remember to ask them this the next time. i will buy just to have a soldier receive something from home.

Bought 5 boxes on Sunday. They are hidden away. I am all for "everything in moderation" and I can try to make these cookies last a long time. Serving size -- 2 cookies? OK, I'm in for a challenge.

The soldier idea is perfect! I will never turn down the Girl Scouts because I was one and I want my daughter to be one when she's old enough. Sending cookies overseas is just patriotic all around!
