LMAO!!!! Yes, yes, I used saws and nails and stuff.:) And that is, indeed, crown molding.

Dani - yes, we adopted him from the Animal Rescue Foundation. He's a 10 month old Shepherd cross who was tied to his doghouse with his brother and the family moved away. He's an absolute sweetheart. And you've probably been too busy on your treadmill;)

Shelley,

Just out of curiosity, did they tell you what happened to Gilbert's brother or if the family that left the dogs behind was ever prosecuted? I worked for a veterinarian for several years and you would not believe the things people do to animalsx( ;( . Just breaks your heart in two.

You did a good thing :+

Gilbert's brother was adopted before he was. They were owned by a family living on a First Nations reserve, near London, Ontario. The reserve has a dog catcher who routinely rounds up strays, etc. He decided that he would like to have Gilbert. Then after about a month, he asked the Animal Rescue Foundation to take him and find him a better home, as he wasn't home enough for Gil.

It's my understanding that this kind of thing happens all the time on the Reserves, because dogs are not viewed as pets, nor are they part of the family. They're just sort of "there". And the people won't be prosecuted. It's very sad, but I'm happy that he's ours now.:D

O.K., color me a dork again, but what are the First Nation Reserves? The only thing I can even imagine is comparable to our Native American Indian Reservations....am I even close? I am showing just how little I know "aboot" Cananda;-)

It is so sad what people (if they even deserve to be called people) can do to dogs. My dog, Alfie, who came to us by way of an animal shelter, was abused when he was a puppy. He's 12 years old and still slinks away when I get the broom to sweep the floor. I always give him lots of pets and soothing words but after all these years it makes me almost cry every time!

Shelley,

Gilly-boo is such a DOLL! What a big bunch of hug-able pooch! You and Sophie are so lucky!

Way to go on Sophie's bookshelves!

You and Evily look great too, small bunches of hug-able MUSCLE! :)

BTW just what "ingredient" DOES Evily put in those "cookies" to make them so good?!?! Hmmmm......;)

Oh Shelley he is soooo cute and he and Sophie together are even cuter. That just made my day!

Oh - and we're gonna have to talk about the bookshelves. You did those yourself? I'm in desperate need of bookshelves in my house and those look great!
