Getting surgery

Hi all

Thank you for all your advice in training and the support with getting this surgery. I am getting a little nervous though I must admit. I have working out to Cathe's Body Blast series (I love Supersets (2 sets) and Push/Pull (2 sets). I am doing IMAX 2 tomorrow then working out Monday and Tuesday (Push/Pull Upperbody with 30 min. cardio and Push/Pull lower body with 30 minute cardio, consecutively. This all before my "big" day (no pun intended!)

I am a little nervous about taking the pain killer and muscle relaxer. I rather be in PAIN!!! But I have been praying that this experience will be a good one and one that I will share happily with anyone who wishes to do the same.

Thank you for your support. I will hopefully be online after surgery by the third or fourth day after (I am hoping!!)

Take care and God Bless

Hi all!

My surgery went really well. I am a little sore today but taking the prescriptions given to me and they really are helping. I did not get nausous like I anticipated from the anesthesia or from the meds. I hope to get walking or doing stationary bike this weekend. My PS said that I should be good to go at that time for light cardio.

Thank you for all your support, thoughts and well wishes. I will keep you all posted on my progress!

Hope everyone is doing well!!

God Bless and take care

:) :) :) I'm glad to hear you're doing well so far! Get lots of rest and take your meds on time,no matter what (I found out what happens if you don't the hard way ;( ) Good luck with the rest of your recovery!

That is great! You "sound" wonderful! :7 Take it easy when you start back. We know you will. Glad everything went so well and no nausea. Keep us posted.

congratulations! You are so brave. I wish I would've gone through with it myself most of the time.
Please keep us posted on your progress.

Hello everyone,

I am in the 6th day of healing and I must tell you this so far has been a nice experience. I was able to start walking on the treadmill 2 days ago. I only do 3.5 mph because I only want to stay in a "routine" of working out until I can do other things. This has helped me more mentally if not physically. The only thing I don't like coming out of this surgery is my belly. I am soooo bloated. I read this is very common with alot of surgeries. I have been drinking a lot of water and getting fibrous carbs (good complex and veggies and fruits) in my system. This has helped somewhat. I am staying true to my food journal and eating "clean" with a healthy balance of carbs, proteins and fats. I will see my doctor next Monday for stiches to be removed. I am surprised how high and tight my breasts are!!!! But I also was told they will settle and become more natural looking within 2 to 3 weeks. Just wanted everyone to know that has an interest in doing this that it is definitely worth it. I know I am not in the clear yet....but I have a good feeling all will work out well.

Take Care and God Bless,

Babydollsea

i'm glad to hear it went so well! yes - they look like frankenboobs at first. but every day you will see a change. in fact, they keep changing for about a year. just getting softer and settling in. wait until one day you are walking down the steps and you notice the first "jiggle". :)

i used my web cam and took pictures almost daily for the first week or so. it's amazing to see the changes.

don't be concerned if one seems to "drop and fluff" before the other. that's perfectly natural too.

Hello Babydollsea, I hope you are recovering well. I wanted to check in and ask how things are going now that you are farther along. Have you started to resume regular workouts? How is your strength and aerobic capacity? Enough questions I guess...best wishes!

Hello and thanks for asking. Yes I am doing very well. I was walking (level) on treadmill on day 4 of surgery. I continued doing this until week 3. I then started walking hills and increasing speed. By week 4, I started lifting. I did step, ran 4 miles 2 times a week, Imax 2 and slow and heavy. I am now in week 6 and am doing circuit training (SJ&P, Gauntlett, Cardio & Weights, running).

I healed very quickly. Did not get sick from meds or anestheia. I just felt like I workout out really hard with weights and felt that kind of sore only.

The only thing I am dissappointed in is that I am not happy with size. I got 325cc overfilled to 365cc/375cc. This only takes me to a mid-C cup. I do not look like I got anything (especially in clothes)!

I am going to see PS on March 3rd to discuss this. Possibly I will get a redo. As to when, I don't know.

Thank you for your concern....If your interested I will keep you posted!

:)

I understand how you feel about size. I sometimes felt that way too, but trust me when I say that you will be changing from month to month for quite some time. There were days where I felt that you could not tell at all, and others when I felt like Dolly Parton. My surgery was a year and seven months ago and depending on what i'm wearing i still feel like they vary from day to day. Hang in there and see!

Thanks for the update. Sorry so long to reply I didn't get a notification that you posted. I would love to continue hearing about your recovery. It is good to hear that you have progressed so well. I have read that it feels weird to lift after surgery. I would like to keep the definition in my arms and even more, keep the strength I have worked so hard for! I love how strong my body feels and I would hate to ever give that up.
I am about to consider taking the leap myself. As to size, I worry about going too big because I like to run and of course do a lot of plyo with Cathe. I don't want the new additions to get in the way. I am small so a C would be quite enough for me. I hope your PS is helpful. I am considering Dr. Dewire in Richmond,VA.

Rachel,

Email me [email protected]. I would try to be of help to you when you do decide to go for it. I regained my fitness level within 1 week of lifting. I was so worried about that, too, because I am athletic and like to compete in races, etc. You will be fine as far as healing and regaining fitness because you are already in shape. Good luck to you and keep in touch!

:)
