Hi! All.
I've decided that I want to become a runner!! I've gotten such good advice from so many of you here that before I start, I have a question about shoes. I've been to several of the running websites many of you have recommended and have learned so much - especially about starting out and going slow.
My question before I lose you - I have a pair of New Balance cross trainers (the 620's) that I love. Would it be okay to start out on my running journey using these. I plan to use the training schedule from runners world where for the first two weeks, alternate 60 seconds of running with recovery and gradually build up.
I am prone to knee discomfort at times - was having some issue with spinning but know all seems fine.
I will either be running on I guess asphalt or maybe the track at my local school.
I truly appreciate and respect your very knowledgable opinions. I don't want to risk injury and spending the $$ for running shoes is doable - just hoped to put it off a few months as I just bought spinning shoes.
