First wo of the new year completed! Decided I'll just jump in to XTrain with the 90 day undulating rotation, so today's wo was D1 - CBT. I'll be feeling that in the morning for sure. I did a good estimate what weights I should use for this one, but can't wait until they get the wo cards ready. I stepped on the scale today to get a baseline, and didn't like what I saw. Though I knew my clothes were fitting tighter, it proved I've gained back some of the loss I made earlier last year. This week's goal - try to get short runs done in the morning - which means waking up at 5:00 - a wee bit early. Next week I'll work on the eating.

Belinda - How was D34? Can't believe you are through another round! Way to go!

Heidi - How are you today? Day 2, right? Did you get it done?

Time to grab some dinner and get back in teh swing of the usual grind. Here's hoping I don't hit snooze in the morning. See ya then!

D34 is done! I am super tired today, go figure. LOL! We had a blast last night.

Sherry - good for you jumping right into Xtrain. Now I want to start xtrain too, lol. Two more discs and I am done with STS. You are brave stepping on the scale after the holiday's, lol. I will wait a month before I step on it.

Heidi - how was your new year? Hope it was a good one.

I took the dogs for a nice walk today. I already took 9608 steps today (according to my fitbit;)). I am all good for today.

Tomorrow I will do STS!

Sherry: Great job on Disc 1 and your run early today! :)

Belinda: Nice job on your workout with D34 and your walk. How's that foot doing? Sounds like your resting has made some difference.

I am following the 90 day Xtrain & Low Impact Series rotation. :)

Yesterday was busy....so no workout. Just as well because I was pretty tired from staying up past my bedtime. ;)

Today was LIS Tri sets lower body. Oh boy did that get me good! Great mix for cardio and weights.
I am STILL SORE from X-train bi and tri! LOL!

I did the core 1 workout after my run on monday and I got some DOMS from that to add to my upper. All good! Love it! :)

Tomorrow's plan will be the Chest, back and shoulder workout from disc 1.

It's done!

Yep, did Cardio Leg Blast this evening. Hope I can walk tomorrow morning! :) Actually, could have gone a little harder at it, but I really do want to be able to walk tomorrow. I'll gauge how hard to go next time by how bad it hurts in the morning.

Loving the new wo's so far! Can't wait to do more. Tomorrow is Hard Strikes. I don't have boxing gloves but do have weighted gloves that just might do the trick.

Belinda - Are you aiming for the 10,000 steps a day? that's a lot of walking! Hopefully it's not too hard on your foot. The weather is no where perfect here - we've got about 7-9" of snow on the ground, and it's not completely clear on the sub streets, so definitely no running outside here. Not much dog walk either because of the ice. And did I mention that it's cold - in the lo to mid 20's for hi's. Poor dog is feeling a bit cooped up. We let her play with the dog next door to wear them both out a bit. At least then they are in the snow and not walking on the salty street.

Heidi - I thought about doing that rotation, but decided to go ahead and jump in "the" rotation. Whichever as long as we're doing something, right?

Sherry - yes, I am aiming for the 10,000 steps a day. I do get most of the steps working around the house, lol. Took some of the xmas stuff down in the basement. Walking up and down steps helps:eek: I know I should be resting but I can't still still anymore:confused:

Heidi - my foot is still messed up, just can't sit still. I don't think I ever sat so much on my butt than I did the last 2 weeks. Now I want to jump right into Xtrain, one more week. I still have to take a recovery week. I do need a recovery week! I am excusted. I am not sure, if I want to do another 3 month rotation? We shall see.
 
Today I will do a weight workout and abs. BBL!

Sherry: Ahh poor pup. ;) My kitty is so frustrated with the cold here too. I have to chase him around the house to wear him out. LOL!
Nice job last night on your workout! How are those legs today?

Oh man I am sore head to toe today! But I did my upper weight workout anyway using disc 1 of XT. ;) Great workout! I went lighter because I wasn't sure what I was in for and how different the routine would be. Good thing!

Belinda: Just do what you can and if it hurts don't do it! It sounds like you are making some progress on your foot just take it easy though. I had a very hard time being sidelined by a fractured shin....oh that was bad! Took me about a year before I could even think of jogging.
Stick to the bike and elliptical workouts for cardio and just do weights as usual. :) You will get there!

I am following the lower impact XT rotation because I am not up for high impact jumping around on that step. I can run and bike just fine though because it doesn't hurt my knees.

Well another workout done! YEAH! Off to shower and work.

Hi all!

Hard Strikes done! Had a blast! However, forgot to look that I was supposed to do the premix with no conditioning but I did the whole thing! LOL! Tomorrow is Bi's & Tri's, so will go heavy with the weights since this was lighter today. Legs were stiff this morning, but owrked out way too fast, so defintely need to go harder/heavier with the legs next wo.

Belinda - Did you get your weights and abs done? You are so close to the end! Walking up and down the steps is great for legs, but probably not helping your foot a whole lot, much less the 10,000 steps. You'll get to start XTrain soon!

Heidi - I TA on going lighter for D1 - that one does get you good, even with less weight than you'd think. Nice to know we're all in aches and pains together! :)

So we're all meeting at the gym tomorrow for a killer wo, right? See you then!

Sherry - wow on your workouts. You are doing fantastic, girl. The only problem I have, if I get all those steps in.....my foot doesn't like it:confused: I am in so much pain, I can't hardly walk the next day? Just don't get it?

Yesterday ended up being a forced rest day:confused: couldn't walk or stand on my foot:eek::mad: I guess, I been walking/putting to much pressure on my foot. Now I had enough with this foot probleme:eek:

Today is my last STS workout, I will do D36:eek: YEAH! Another round.


Sherry - wtg on Bi's & Tri's + Core #2! How are these workouts different than Cathe's other weight workouts? Can't wait to give them a try soon.

Heidi - hope all is well.

Hi all!

Legs are done - the whole thing! All 80 minutes worth! I hope I can walk tomorrow!

I'm enjoying these wo's because, similar to STS, they work each muscle group in a super set, not each muscle to exhaustion before moving on to the next. Leg is a nice change from cardio legs because it uses light to no weight, but between the lunges, squats, then barre followed by ball and finally floor, it gets every muscle, and gets it good!

Belinda - Congrats on on completing yet another STS rotation! You stick to rotations so well, something I need to get more committed to. So sorry that your foot continues to give you such big problems.

Heidi - Hope you can catch your breathe this weekend!

Friday was a bust for my workout. Totally sore head to toe! LOL!

Yesterday was a day of going back to bed from a headache. I did get in a TM walking workout later in the day.

Not sure what to do today.....

Belinda: Sorry to hear about your foot issues acting up again. It is so hard to sit still!
How was your last STS workout? Any plans for today? Maybe a bike workout?

Sherry: Great job on your leg workout! Which one did you do? Can you walk today? HEHE! :)

Plan for today: going to the gym:D DH wants to go. We looked at ellipticals at Costo yesterday? Not sure if we buy one for wait? I figured as long as we can use the gym on base, we really don't need one:eek:

Sherry - thank you! I am happy to finish another round of STS. I am a little burned out:(Not sure, if I want to follow another 3 month rotation? We shall see:D WOW, on your leg workout. That's a long workout:confused:

Heidi - wtg on beeing sore from head to toe:p My last STS workout was great, glad it was my last disc;) I am kinda burned out.

Did the elliptical for 40 min at the gym. I could have gone longer but I hit the switch on my ipad:mad:. Oh well! Still had a great workout. I really enjoy going to the gym again. The commissary is right next to the gym on base, so we go grocery shopping afterwards

Hi all!

I woke up very stiff this morning, so decided to give my body a break and make today a rest day. Well, other than housework, groceries, laundry and such, it was a rest day. LOL!

Plans are to hit the sack early and get in 30 minutes on the TM in the morning before work.

Heidi - I hear you on being sore! Couldn't believe how I ached this morming, and I had to shovel a bit of snow, too! Another not quite 2" today, and now plow 'cause it wasn't at least 2. :(

Belinda - If the base is easy to get to and you'll go, I say use those ellipticals for now. That way you can take your time buying one. I remember the disaster last time. Doesn't sound like it bothered your foot today.

Here's to us! We're doing great. Now, let's all get some rest and meet at the gym in the morn!
