Getting it done for January!

Hi all!

Plans were to wake up this a.m. for a quick run, then do legs this evening, but I've had a pounding headache, so that's not happening. Chilling for a bit, then maybe something light.

My travel schedule is picking up again, so I really need to look how I can change around the XTrain rotation to meet my fitness equipment availability. Frustrating!

Heidi - I think I have 2nd day DOMS going from Bi's & Tri's. They are really stiff today. Last time I got 2nd day DOMS was from STS, so I'm guessing XTrain is doing exactly what it's supposed to do. How are you enjoying it?

Belinda - Have you been able to start XTrain yet?

The move didn't went so well:mad:. When DD and I arrived on Saturday, the place was a hot mess. I have never seen a bathroom that dirty!!! We walked out of the appartment. I told DD to call the manager and have him take a look and get this place cleaned up. I refused to clean up after someone elses mess (not after what I went through with my house last year:eek:). They did get some one in and clean the bathroom, but still didn't clean anything else, WTH? Sunday we called again, someone came...told us they would sent someone to clean the stove and frige. Yesterday they finally had the place clean enough for us to go in and clean and desinfect the place. That place was disgusting:confused:. Now it's nice and clean. DH, DS and I didn't get home until almost 11 pm. DD is set up about 85%, we still have to hang up curtins, pic and little stuff. I am so excusted from cleaning and all that stess.

Not sure what I will do today? Maybe take a nap?

WO done - Travel Fit. I broke the band I was using - guess I was working hard enough! Good thing I bring more than one with me!

Belinda - Oh no! What a disaster! I can't even imagine! Yes, you need that nap. Hope dog training wasn't too stressful after all that. Rest today, and get back with it tomorrow.

Heidi - Are you keeping up with your rotation?

Today I will do XTrain Cardio Leg Blast. I am sure I have to modify some of the exercises. Looks very high impact:confused:
 
Sherry - I liked my first Xtrain wo. Time went by fast. WTG, on your KB workout today. Thank goodness you had an extra band with you, lol.

Yesterday was a forced rest day...too much to do at work.

Today I picked up were I left off on the rotation with Turbo Barre. OMG! I felt every part of that one! LOL!

Tomorrow is burn sets for bi & tri with core 1.

Belinda: ARGH! Glad they got the place somewhat cleaned up for you and your DD! Have a great workout!

Sherry: LOL! Great job on your band workout! I guess you must have been work hard! ;)
Nice job on XT KB! How did you like that one? What would you compare it too form Cathe's other KB workouts?
I am doing my best to stick to my rotation. I took a break yesterday but it is ok because I haven't had one since the 4th. :)

XTrain Cardio Leg Blast is done:D I liked it alot:eek: Kept it low impact, still had a great workout.

Heidi - so you are doing the Low impact xtrain rotation, hah? Nothing wrong taking a rest day:D I read a lot of people just doing 2rotation 5 days instead of 6, not a bad idea. I hope I don't get bored doing the same disc for the next 3 month. The leg workout is over 80 min, not sure how I feel about that one?

Today's workout is complete! XT disc 3 burn sets: bi/tri and core 1. :)

Feeling yesterday's leg workout. :) All good!

Belinda: Have a great workout with hard strikes! I heard that it gets the arms good. :)

I am following that XT and LIS rotation. It is a good mix for sure. The TB workout is like that too with the time being around 72min's. I felt evey minute of it for sure! lol!

Sherry: How goes the travels? :) Be safe out there! Great job on your kickbox workout the other day too!

Hey girls,

Went to the doc before lunch (not this afternoon:eek:got the times mixed up). He took xrays which showed I still have a heel spur in my right foot. I also got a steriod shot in my heel. My heel is still very inflamed :mad: I just want this pain to go away, it's been over 4 month. After my workout I could hardly walk last night. Doc told me not to do any high impact workouts, not evern yoga:confused: he thinks I am overstetching my foot. If I don't see a 50% improvmement in 3 weeks, I have to go back for another steriod shot. Keeping my fingers crossed I don't need to go back for another shot:) That steriod shot was painful:confused:

As far as workouts go, I need to stop doing high impact workouts. I know Xtrain cardio is very high impact even her low HiiT, I still feel them in my heel with all that bouncing.:( I decited not to follow Cathe's 90 day rotation. I will do whatever I feel like doing that day, low impact;). For cardio I will do mostly walking either indoors or outdoors, I will use the elliptical or the bike until my foot completely healed. I know I am very stubborn when it comes to workouts, but I relized (a little late!):confused: I am not doing myself/foot any good.

This morning I did a 60 min ballet body workout, I know I shouldn't have done it:( but I did! I need to lay off yoga of any kind for the next 3 weeks. Ony do that 1 stretch exercise the doc told me to do.

Yesterday I was too wiped out for exercise. Really. Bummed about that, but maybe just really needed the rest. Travel can do that to me sometimes.

Today I'd like to get in some cardio and weight work. Need to look over my several options.

Belinda - Sending you (((hugs))). I know you are so frustrated with your foot and lack of wo's. I'm sure if you do what the dr says, it will get better. How about a nice hard upper body wo to get your mind off it?

Heidi - You are kicking some butt lately with your wo's. I need to rethink the rotation because I've got quite a bit of travel coming up and don't always have access to the equipment for the scheduled wo. And need to get eating under control. It is so much easier to eat larger portions and the not so good for you stuff when I'm not eating at home. ARGH!

I"ll be back this evening to report my choice of sweat. See ya then.

Today I did an interval TM w/o a little over 3 miles.

Then it was work as usual.

Belinda: stick to the bike and elliptical. You can kick butt with upper and floor work for legs. :)

Has the Doc ever mentioned removing the bone spur?

Sherry: welcome back! :) have a great workout tonight! :)
Maybe just changing the days for when you are home to weights and do cardio when out of town might work.

Tomorrow's plan is afterburn. Wish me luck! :)

Morning girls,

Yesterday's wo never happend:confused:, we went to DC helping DD hang up all her pic and so on. DH and I went to dinner afterwards in DC, by the time we came home it was to late to workout. Plus I was tired. We got stuck in DC traffic...arrrr..

Heidi - I will stick to the bike/elliptical. I think I can do floor work for legs. Didn't think about that...thanks! Good job on your 3 mile run.

Sherry - welcome back. Enjoy your workout tonight. Thanks for the hug. It is very frustrating with my foot. Hope the shot will do the trick.

Hi all!

Happy to report that today's wo is done! Insanity Fast & Furious plus dog walk (actually kind of warm today). I'd like to get in some weight work, too, but we'll have to see if time works for me. Heading out for groceries shortly. At least it's a 3 day weekend.

Last night I was still very tired, so no wo, to bed early, and slept nearly 9 hours - long for me. Today I have much more energy, so getting it done!

As for the weight work, I really think I need to start pushing harder - lifting heavier. I haven't had the DOMS that I've been looking for, so of course I don't think I'm working intense enough. Plan to use this 3 day weekend to work all body parts to exhaustion!

At least I've been better at the eating this week. Crock pot has been the key. That and stocking up on broccoli. DD and I are hooked on steamed broccoli sprinkled with steak seasoning. Did I mention the other day that I forgot to turn on the crockpot? Seared the meat and added the seasoning but forgot to turn in it. DD noticed it when she came home, so was on hi for 5 hours instead of lo for 10. Came out fabulous - attributing this to the cut of meat and not my inattention to details.

Heidi - Great job on AB! My day is not much different from yours. I do think I need to do weight work on weekends to manage my travel schedule, but I'll need to lay it out. I do so much better with a plan on paper than just in my head. Hence why Insanity today - didn't need to think about pulling out anything.

Belinda - I'm sure DD's place looks so much better. I get bothered by empty walls - they don't need to be full, but must have something on them. I agree about floor work - Cathe has lots of options, and they are all killer's! Most of the time I end of skipping them because the legs are fried after the standing work. Are you making it to the gym enough to use the bike/elliptical? I know you love your cardio, too!

We all need down time and traveling always makes me exhausted even after a couple days after returning.

I hear ya on the plan needing to be on a calendar or paper. I like to be able to check it off to say THERE I DID IT! DONE! LOL!
My next couple weeks are all planned. All I have to do is either look at the WM or on my phone to know whats coming up next.

I am really liking the rotation mix with XT and LIS. Today's AB really had me working hard. My breaks in between the sets were a little longer just to catch my breath.

Great job on using your crockpot more!!! It really helps having the meals ready after a busy run around day. That way your not calling out for take out etc. ;)

I am really trying my best to stay within my calorie plan too. It is hard when you live with a bunch of boys! LOL!

Last night I did XTrain Bi/Triceps. Great workout. I noticed that Cathe's crew isn't in tune with Cathe at times. Never seen that in any of her other workouts before? Weird! There wasn't anything new, except the band workout at the end.

Heidi - glad you enjoy your rotation.

Sherry - I feel the same way about empty walls:eek: Need to try that broccoli. Did you cook the broccoli with the meat? I need to start pulling out my crock pot:eek:

I really like this rotation I am following. The cardio segments are getting me good! Right
now I have lower body DOMS pretty good. My upper is feeling the weight work and all those sliding disc plank moves. My abs are showing the signs of great definition and soon to have a six pack. HEHE

Hi Sherry! How are you doing today?

Today I did 25min of yoga this morning. Tonight I will do a run and the 22min premix for All Out Low Impact HiiT.

Hi all!

Did Supercuts today for the first time. Loved it! Nice circuit wo with lots of cardio and light weights. Those ab moves, though, are downright mean!

Heidi - Glad you are loving your rotation! Nice to have all these DOMS, isn't it? Now, as for calories . . . well, I need some work there, too.

Belinda - Yay, you started XTrain! I steam the broccoli, then just sprinkle it with some dry steak seasoning. We've been using the Weber Chicago steak seasoning mix, but any would work.

Now to finish laundry, cleaning, etc. Kids have finals this week, so they are studying away.
