Getting it done for December 2014

Hi all!

Quick post to say that I haven't done a wo the past 2 days. DH had a horrendous cold all last week, and apparently he's sharing it with me. I'm fighting it, but I am needed the rest. Great job both of you. Catch up with you in a day or two.

Argh! Sorry Sherry! Hope all feel better soon!

Up early and trying to fend off a bad migraine. Paperwork first thing and then hopefully a good solid run.

Sherry: No workout for me as well yesterday. Very busy work and drive people to appt's day.

RWH: Chest, Shoulders and Triceps! OOF! Beware of the weights you choose.
 
Heidi - you go, girl! How are you linking the new workouts? And how are the different from her other ones? I been cleaning windows, does that count as a workout :)

Today I will do XT Triceps + Biceps. SBF Tabata = 40 min + Christmas Stretch 2 = 10 min. I also will do JS D#18 Butt Lift = 12 min.

Morning Belinda! Yes! Cleaning windows does count as an upper body workout and if lifting up high on your toes to reach it is a great calf and glute workout. :)

Love these new workouts so far! :)

Belinda: Have a great workout! Love the XT Series too!

For now I am going to stick with Getting Started with RWH rotation. Then move to the Low Impact series and RWH rotation I think.

Today was:
RWH Low impact one and the abs bonus #2.

Phew! 375 cals and HR: 136-170

On the abs: Snow angels...LOL! No way can I even come close to lifting my leg! Need to work on these for sure!
Well of course my shoulders are sore from yesterday so my support wasn't the greatest either.

Feeling some soreness all over is a good thing. :)

Off to shower, work and grocery shopping.

I did get the downloads but haven't downloaded them yet. Figured it would be too busy... ;)

Today is another busy workday. Run or bike later.

Hi Sherry! You must be swamped with running around! Hope all is well and you didn't get terribly sick with what your DH had. :(

Spent this morning cooking a quick meal for later from the new cookbook I got called THUG Kitchen. LOVE THIS BOOK!
Cracks me up for sure. I made the 5-spice fried rice with sweet potatoes. Used edamame in place of the frozen peas because I didn't have any.
I also used chopped frozen Kale for the bitter greens for the same reason.

OK must run off to work.

Hi all!

Well, I haven't worked out at all this week. Glad you two are still at it. This head cold has been rather horrendous. I barely make it through the day at work, and come home completely exhausted. I'm hoping its gone in another day or two. And I hope the kids don't get it at all. Trying to do some major sanitizing at home. DH is still not 100%, but colds always seem to linger with him.

Heidi - Can't wait to start the new wo's. I love what I hearing about them. Haven't previewed them yet - that would require eyes open - but want to jump right into them once I kick this thing.

Belinda - Glad you are enjoying XTrain. I'm sure the "extra" wo's are helping you make it through the holidays.

Sorry for not checking it yesterday. DH and I met up with Aleisa in Bethesda (Navel Exchange), MD to do some last minute xmas shopping. I still did my workouts!

Today I will do XT Legs premix 2 = 67 min + SBF Barre Fire 3 = 30 min and JS D20 Amazing abs.


Sherry - I am so sorry this head cold is still bordering you. Rest and feel better soon. Yes, all the extra workouts are helping not to gain weight during the holiday's.

Heidi - I am also trying not to buy workout dvd's anymore, they taking up too much space. Especially if you have a large collection. My goal for 2015 is: to work through all my workout dvd's/downloads and narrow it down. I have to many dvd's. I still haven't open any of the onces I bought when College Video closed down?? The cook book sounds amazing. Need to google it. Did you like 5-spice fried rice with sweet potatoes?

Morning Belinda! Boy are you busy! Nice job on your workouts and I bet they are paying off too. :) Sounds like fun shopping with your DD too.

I hear ya on the DVD piles. LOL! I do like this new series so far. Today's goal is RWH back, biceps and shoulders. Maybe a run too. :)

Yup I did like that Fried rice recipe. :) YUM! Can eat it as a meal or as a side dish. The book is hilarious! Have to pardon the gruff talk but it does crack me up.

I still have some shopping to do also...with work it has been really hard getting things done. I don't even have my tree up yet! Maybe my son will help me this weekend with that. :)

Heidi - how are the new workouts different from Cathe's other ones? Have fun with your UB workout. I defiantly will look up the cook book. It does sound funny.

I ended up doing LM CXWORX (FB wo) = 50 min. Really liked it. I also did P57 Thigh Seat Buster = 30 min. I will get a nice stretch in later today.

Well I guess I needed two rest days. So Friday and Saturday were rest days with work and house stuff.

This morning I kicked butt with RWH Back, shoulders and biceps. OMG! I used fairly heavy weights....well I should say heavier than what
I have been lifting. 3 sets with burn out at the end of each. My biceps (right one especially) were giving out on me by the 8-10 rep. Started with 15/s dropped to 12 than 10...by the end I was at 8!
Shaking while I type now. LOL! All good and I have a goal now for each exercise for the next time.

Not sure what the rest of this day will be like. :) Still need to get some shopping done!

Sherry: How are you feeling? I hope that you are feeling better today. Take it slow coming back after a whooper of a cold.

Today's plan: RWH Plyo 1 and ab bonus 2. The plyo workout is only about 27min. Short and sweet! :)

Starting my new year off right with a good breakfast: Cinnamon and Apple Omelet. :) YUM! Oh of course I still need my coffee. My only hang up. LOL!
