Getting it done for April 2015

Good morning,

The rain never stopped yesterday :) We took a chance and drove to Key West:D The weather was a lot better than in Key Largo. I didn't get any sleep the first night, my Lab was afraid off all the lighting and thunder that went on for 6 hours. Poor thing! We took the dogs with us to Key West. Key West is a party down, lol! People were drunk around 4 pm:eek: We walked around Key West and watched the famous sun set. Last night I got a good night sleep, The weather is suppose to change??

I did 21 Day Fix Lower Fix yesterday. Today I will do 21 DF Pilates.

Sherry - the rain stopped but it's suppose to come back:( We deciding if we want to stay or leave before Sunday? We probably go to another beach? 21 DF is a lot easier in an RV than STS :) We didn't bring any heavy weights either this time. We are using tubing. Boy, those are hard :) I should have packed easier ones, LOL!

Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday after work, picked up DS and all his stuff. He is now home for the summer. How long will it take for all his stuff to move out of the living room?

Today - dog walk, sprints on the tm, and KW Resistance wo1. Legs have been feeling really good since Sunday, so maybe that was just an off day.

Tomorrow - not sure yet. DD's team has an away game but she won't be playing because she strained her hip flexor at practice the other day. If I do go, no wo and no check-in.

Heidi - So, get picked for jury duty? As for the chicken, just threw it in with chicken stock and some grilling seasoning. Seems to come out better with chicken stock rather than just water.

Belinda - Hopefully it's sunny by now. Glad the RV accommodates the wo's. I remember when you were trying to do STS in the RV - this has got to be so much easier.

Time to shower and wind down. Hope you had a good one!

Hi Sherry: Yeah your Son is back! LOL on the stuff in the living room. I learned a new trick: When my Son came over the other day I pointed to his stuff and said "How about moving them to your room?" He couldn't get out of it. LOL! :) Works like a charm.

Argh, Sorry to hear about your DD and her hip flexor. It is hard not to have something happen when the kids are in sports.

Yesterday I cooked up a batch of boneless/skinless chicken thighs. I can add to salads or make quick stir fry's for dinner.
Just wash, cut off excess fat, season with salt, pepper, garlic and paprika. Cook on grill or in the oven at 400 for 30-35min.

I agree that using chicken broth for crock-pot chicken gives it more flavor and makes it very tender.

Good evening!

I didn't go to DD's team's game, so was able to get in a dog walk and XT Ride. this week has been kind of chaotic, so I think I'll start RWH rotation next week. At least I am getting in some exercise.

Belinda - Oh, hope the weather doesn't stay bad most of the time you are there. I've thought about expanding our band selection. There are so many things on the wish list already. ;)

Heidi - See above - not sure how I'm "managing" but I am getting things done. DS is too - at least the clothes are out of the living room and he started his laundry. :)

I am still doing 21 DF, did Cardio Fix today.

We are having a blast in Miami :) Today we went downtown South Beach, that was a lot of fun. Lot's of expensive shops. and great Restaurants. South Beach is very dog friendly:D Key West reminded me a little of Bourbon Str., party street :) It's not a big city, one main street, lol. The sunset was very pretty:)

Sherry - today we had sunshine : Thank goodness it stopped raining. There was a lot of flooding too. WTG, getting things done! Sorry about your husband. Hope he is ok.

Heidi - we have no excuse not to workout in the RV:) 21 DF is perfect, time wise and space wise. And you don't need a lot of equipments. That's how I cook my chicken too. Lately I been using the 21 DF seasoning for my chicken. DH loves it.

Belinda: Nice job on your workouts! Oh how beautiful it must be down there. The weather hasn't changed much here yet.

I am going to attempt a 30 Day Clean challenge from Studio Sweat on Demand. So this morning I am getting my recipes and meal
plan together. It will be a mix for me: Vegan and regular diet. I don't eat a lot of meat anyway. A lot of the meals have things like sausage,
lamb ( I don't eat at all) beef etc. I will do fish if I can get it cheaply or chicken. Things are just so expensive!
I am looking at a cookbook on Amazon that is budget friendly cooking. ;)

So yesterday was an ambitious afternoon spent in the yard. Now I have poison ivy on my forearms. Argh!

Today's plan: A run!

Good morning!

So yesterday was supposed to be a run day. But around midday, I got up from me desk and suddenly my heel was hurting when I walked on it. It was on and off for the rest of the day and evening. Since I did the spin bike the day before, couldn't really figure it out, but decided to make it a rest day. Feeling a bit stiff this morning, but seems to have worn off. I'm still waiting a bit before I try to get in that run.

Clarification - it's DD that has the pulled hip flexor (pulled at soccer). DH is perfectly fine.

Belinda - Sounds like you are having fun! Great job on staying disciplined with your wo's, too. Good that it's dog friendly - makes it so much easier when you have them along.

Heidi - Enjoy your run today. Challenge sounds interesting. We're just trying to keep food about 80% clean since it's crazy and don't want to stress myself out about needing something quick. Not sure which rotation trying to figure out which one will best complement running. I have until Monday to figure that out, right?

So much to do today, inside and out. Weather is sunny and warm - perfect day. Enjoy it!

Sherry - glad your husband is fine :) Sorry about your DD :( Hope she recovers very soon. Glad you took it easy yesterday and be carful with your heel :(

Heidi - like your workout plan. Let us know how it goes. Miami is very beautiful. DH and I will fly and stay at a hotel on the beach in a few month. Sorry about the weather, it's sunny here:)

Need to get a shower. I will be back tomorrow.

Was able to get a run in today! 3 miles! No IT issue. No heel issue. Feeling good!

Belinda - Sounds like you are definitely having a great time if you are already planning to go back. Glad the weather has improved for you!

Still haven't decided on a rotation to start tomorrow - too busy to think about it with all the yard work we did this weekend. Exhausted now, so will think about it tomorrow. Catch ya then.

No workouts to report. Poison Ivy has got me down. Argh! Running back and forth to the drugstore to find some relief. Trying everything!

Today is my typical Monday with loads of paperwork and orders to fill. So that will be workout for now.
