Sherry: Nice job on our run! I bet your legs are sore after the run/hill climb home.

Today was a lazy day for me. Watched the running of the Boston Marathon (from my couch) :)

Tomorrow will be a very busy work day. :/

Hey to you all! How was your Tuesday?

Mine was my Monday. Totally exhausted from work and lack of rest. We had a good thunderstorm over night which woke me up. :/
So I am calling it a rest day.

Sherry: Lentil Soup recipe From: Fresh Start21 Simple Green Smoothies. :) (New Challenge Starts May 4th)

This makes a little more than 2 servings
INGREDIENTS
2 teaspoons coconut oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 celery stalk, finely chopped
4 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped
¾ teaspoon ginger, peeled and finely chopped
1 ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon turmeric
¾ cup tomatoes, diced
2 cups vegetable broth
¾ cup dry red lentils, rinsed well and drained
1 cup fresh spinach, roughly chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
¼ teaspoon chili flakes

For serving:
2 tablespoons cilantro (coriander), chopped
½ avocado, diced or sliced

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Heat the coconut oil in a large 4-5 quart saucepan over medium-high
heat. Add the onion and celery. Cook 5-10 minutes, or until the onion
is translucent. Add the garlic and ginger, and cook for another minute,
stirring constantly.
2. Add the cumin and turmeric. Stir for 30 seconds, or until fragrant. Add
the tomatoes and stir again.
3. Add the vegetable broth and lentils. Lower heat to a simmer and partially
cover the pan. Cook for 25-30 minutes, or until the lentils are soft.
4. Stir in the spinach and lemon juice. Add salt, pepper and red chili flakes
to taste.
5. To serve, ladle into bowls and top with cilantro and avocado.

Enjoy!

Happy Wednesday!

Monday - soccer game away so no wo. Was nice and stiff after run and KW workout so needed rest day. Plus, it was cold, windy, rainy and they lost.

Tuesday - another soccer game, but this one at home so was able to get in a dog walk before I ran up there. It was also cold, windy and rainy, but they won.

Wednesday - no soccer game, so dog walk, sprints on tm (because it's cold, windy and snow flurries!), plus KW Cardio #1. I think they'll work nicely for the next few weeks while I'm in a time crunch because they are a short but fairly intense circuit wo for the whole body.

Belinda - Nice job on wo's as always. You should take them out of the wrapper and try them. They aren't that long.

Heidi - Thanks for the recipe. Will need to try it. Ever go to see the marathon in person? I can only imagine.

Ok, gotta shower and go. Fundraiser for soccer team at a restaurant. Good thing we like to hang with the other parents. Hope you had a good one!

Today I did 21 Day fix lower and a walk. Before I forget :) Saturday DH and I will drive to Miami for 2 weeks. I can't wait. And yes…I will bring 21 DF workouts :) I hope you two keep posting, lol. I will check in as soon as I have internet.

Sherry - it's cold here too :( what's up with this weather? I am dying to try 21 DF Extreme, but DH can't do them right now. His shoulder is all messed up. And the extreme workouts don't have a modifier.

Went to the Endodontists and she thinks it's my wisdom tooth that's causing the pain:( My wisdom tooth is right next to the root canal tooth :) She wants me to wait until August, she believes it could also be the root canal being still sore. Some people have pain up to a year, which I already knew. I hope it's not my wisdom tooth, still have all mine.

Where is everyone?

Oh, I did 21 Day Fix Pilates fix today and a walk.

Sherry: I haven't gone to a marathon as a viewer. Maybe one day... Every year when my DD was racing we would watch the marathon together. Miss that. Enjoy your days with your kids....time flies by so quickly. Even though we live in the same town I hardly see her due to her work schedule. :/

Belinda: OMG so sorry on your tooth issue. :/ I still have 3 of mine as well. Where one was pulled years ago I still have on and off sensitivity.
Now the other bottom one is moving which is not good. They cannot touch it due to being too close to my nerves and they fear it could make
me go numb on one side of my face. :/

No workouts for Tues and Weds. Thurs was finally RWH chest, shoulder and triceps. Yup feeling my chest today!
No workout today...yet. Have my son visiting this afternoon. I had planned on resting after work and then do my cardio workout.
Not going to happen...now I have a headache. Argh!

Next week will busy with my Mom's appt. tues. and weds I have Jury Duty. I sure hope I don't get picked! Dread this big time! Wish I could
get out of going from now on somehow. :/

WO's today - dog walk, 3.5 mile tempo run on tm (easier to control pace plus it's cold), and KW core (which I'll be feeling tomorrow).

Belinda - You poor thing - you tooth, DH's shoulder, you two need to be pain free! Did you get than walk in?

Heidi - Yup, kids grow up way too fast! And we all get busy, so enjoy when you can visit.

Gotta shower and hit the sack. The weekend is finally here.

Today I will do 21 Fix Dirty 30.

We are still here :) House is clean, everything is packed for the RV. DH noticed last night that the Awning is broken. Today we are trying to fix it and will take off tomorrow, hopefully :)

Thanks Sherry! I guess we getting old, lol. I never got that walk in yesterday, but with all that running around I did…I got 20K in. You are doing great with your walk. Good for you.

Heidi - that's cary about your tooth :( I heard wisdom tooth are a pain in the butt. Sorry you are going through all this with your tooth. Good luck to you too. The funny part is, I don't feel pain in my wisdom tooth. I feel pain in the tooth I had the root canal done?

WO done already - I did Spinervals 16.0, which was 80 minutes on the bike. Quads are really feeling it! Will need to take the dog for walks later, too. Plus, the usual weekend errands.

Belinda - Good thing you are able to take your wo's with you. You are doing a great job of getting them done consistently. Isn't there always something to fix around the house? And usually when you have the least time to deal with it?

Heidi - What are your plans today? Hope the headache is gone and that you had some nice time with your son.

So today was a run day - but IT band hurting at knee at about 2.5-3 miles, so had to walk the rest of the way. Feeling bummed. Thought this was behind me. So, thinking about my wo's this week, decided will keep biking to much less than 80 mintues (was that aggravating my hip a bit?) and stopping the KW wo's, going back to legs 2x/week. I think the leg work is critical to continuing to strengthen my hips and glutes. Will need to look at all my premix options due to time constraints, but I do think this is the best approach.

Belinda - Oh, on the RV. Well, you do need that. Enjoy your adventure!

Heidi - how are you hanging in there?

Feeling a bit accomplished on the food front - steel cut oats in the crock pot right now, getting ready for the week's breakfasts.

Busy weekend for me. Saturday: 3.17 mile run then went to get my hair cut with my Aunt. I ended up with a body wave perm and cut. ;)
My hair needed something!
Sunday: Jillian M. 6 week 6 pack #1. plus a 3.70 mile run.

I am feeling torso all around today! Was suppose to do RWH back, shoulders and biceps but I don't know if that would wise right now.

Sherry: Oh sorry about your IT band acting up. I noticed the same on my right side yesterday during my TM run. I walked a couple times and added a few stretches in between which helped. Next time I run I am wearing a different pair of sneakers to see if it makes a difference.
Great plan with legs and time saver premixes! Biking is a lot harder than you would think. I am only willing to do about 25-40 min. tops right now. 60-80 is way too much to start out on.

Belinda: Have fun with your Yoga WO! :)

I am so busy lately with work issues it is messing with my workout schedule. Last week I missed tues and weds. WO thurs but friday was a bust again. Argh! Hate this schedule.

This week is about the same busy wise. Plus Jury duty on Weds morning! I dread going and sure hope I don't get picked. I honestly can't do it where I am responsible for so much at work and there is no one else to take my duties. :/

Well I better get moving or I won't today! LOL! Legs day for me.

Happy Monday!

Tonight's wo was CycleMax - yep, a non-run day, and a dog walk. Wanted to also do leg work, but I am starving right now! Chicken is ready (thank you crock pot) and veggies are steaming right now, so not sure that there will be any strength work done tonight.

Heidi - Wow, runs on consecutive days - awesome! Yeah, bummed about IT band, so used the rumble roller lots last night. Hopefully worked it out - I'll find out the next run. I know, jury duty always seems like an inconvenience, but if you are picked, I know you'll do your best.

Waving Hi to Belinda - how's the adventure so far?

Getting DS home from school tomorrow (did he really just finish his first year?), so probably won't get in a wo, but all those trips to the car gotta count for something, right?

Which chicken recipe did you use this time for your crock pot? :)

No workout for me yesterday. I came home with another darn headache.

As for Jury Duty I get to find out this evening whether I have to show or not. I would do my best if I were picked and I love mystery's as well.

RWH Back, delts and biceps. Phew! My biceps will be talking to me later. LOL!

Off to get ready for work. I hope it a a short day and I get to do another workout later. Planning on a short Bike workout from Studio sweat online.

We are in Miami :) Weather isn't the best :( Oh well! Hopefully it will clear up soon.

Yesterday we did 21 Day Fix TB Cardio and today we did 21 DF Upper Fix. Those workouts are great for traveling in an RV :)

Heidi - we are in Miami for my bday in a few day's :) We are traveling in our RV:) Have fun with Jury Duty.

Sherry - we sure had our adventure with the RV already. Someone in Tampa FL stole 2 lug nut (chrome plated) from our RV :( I backed chicken and turkey breast for the road, this way we don't didn't had to stop for grocery :)

Yesterday after work, picked up DS and all his stuff. He is now home for the summer. How long will it take for all his stuff to move out of the living room?

Today - dog walk, sprints on the tm, and KW Resistance wo1. Legs have been feeling really good since Sunday, so maybe that was just an off day.

Tomorrow - not sure yet. DD's team has an away game but she won't be playing because she strained her hip flexor at practice the other day. If I do go, no wo and no check-in.

Heidi - So, get picked for jury duty? As for the chicken, just threw it in with chicken stock and some grilling seasoning. Seems to come out better with chicken stock rather than just water.

Belinda - Hopefully it's sunny by now. Glad the RV accommodates the wo's. I remember when you were trying to do STS in the RV - this has got to be so much easier.

Time to shower and wind down. Hope you had a good one!
