Good Morning GMT :)

Today was Step Blast and I had a Blast!! :) I really just relaxed and had fun with the workout today. since we just did this (mostly) last week, I didn't have to think so much and could just do the moves. I remember when I first got this dvd. I thought the moves were so hard and was never on the right side of the step for the "mambo" in combo 3. Now its like "old hat" My pecs are still a little sore, so doing the power 15's was interesting. After legs yesterday and this today, I wonder how my legs will be doing tomorrow.

I wanted to take my measurements, but can't find the tape! I do think I may have lost something from my hips (I can see a difference, and feel it in my clothes). But weirdly, my abs are not as good as they usually are~ they are "muscle~y" but kinda popped out. Hard to explain but I'm not diggin' them! Hopefully this rotation will get them back into shape.

Marcy~ Are you thinking of doing the freestyle workout? I do think when I was doing ballet/jazz, my legs looked great. But now I also like the definition from the weights.

Good Morning Ladies!

Today was 3 mile run and S&H Biceps and Triceps. Those biceps seem to go on forever!:p I used the same weights as Cathe, even going down when she did. I think I'm going to try PS next week, since I haven't done this one yet.

Deanie--I will enjoy my day off, thank you. It's a short week with Monday off and Friday we have a in-service day. We have to be there but no kids. Glad you enjoyed SB...Fun!

Marcy and Tracee--Did you DWTS last night? It was time for Wayne to go. Who will be next? Mark Cuban?

Good Morning GDT!

Today was Legs & Glutes (sans hover squats and leg presses) and KPC Abs. I tried using the workout blender for the first time but it didn't include enough of what I wanted so I just went back to the mix-n-match at the end. KPC abs are pretty easy for me now. I remember when I did my first pike and I thought I'd never get it. I also didn't use any weights today. I am going to try and make this a total no-weight rotation for leg workouts and see if it makes a difference. Even without the weight, I still felt it. Like in plie squats, I pressed my hands on my thighs and I was able to go real low.

Deanie - It's great when you can do a workout without thinking and just have fun.

Gin - You're not making me look forward to S&H tomorrow}(! You know how I hate bicep work. Enjoy your day off!

Gin/Tracee - I finished watching DWTS this morning. It was time for Wayne to go. So far my predictions have been correct. I think Floyd might be next. I'm not surprised he was in the bottom two. I really don't see him improving like they say and haven't voted for him in the last two weeks. After watching it back, I thought Marie had her best performance. Tracee, I think you were right about Jane. She was good but I thought she needed a little more fire in her tango but I'm sure she had a lot of emotions running through her head and it wasn't easy but she still did a great job. Helio was a little disappointing this week. Next week is Paso Doble and Viennese Waltz (I love the viennese waltz). I'm partial to slower dances like rumba and waltz.

Tracee - How was your workout today? (I hope you had one!)

Hi Again!

Deanie - I looked over the freestyle rotation but it just has too many lunges in it aside from the fact that I just don't have the time to do everything in Carol's rotation. I've decided I will be focusing more on ballet, pilates, yoga and fusion style workouts like Reach. I just bought Kari Anderson's Angles, Lines & Curves 2 (she's the same instructor who does Reach).

My pecs are also sore as well as my lats. I also tried to do some pullups/chinups yesterday. I can still do a chinup but pullups still escape me.

Hello GMD!

Today was a couldn't get out of bed day. I think knowing that it was a cardio day had a lot to do with that. I was going to do RS because I kept missing the days I was supposed to do it in the last rotation. Oh well. There are other cardio days this week so I'll stick it in there.

Gin/Marcy - I watched the kickoff portion of DWTS this morning and was glad that it was Wayne. I like Floyd better than Mark so I think I may have to try voting for him next week. Not that I think he's much better of a dancer but there is just something about Mark that turns me off. I agree about Marie, she's so fun to watch every week.

Deanie - Glad you just let loose and had fun with SB. I wasn't going to do it because we had just done some of it last week so I'm glad to hear that you were able to enjoy it.

It got cold here. :-( I'm not ready for cold weather even though I know it's coming and we've been spoiled for the last couple of weeks.

Have a good Wednesday everyone. I'm trying to stay focused on my work but it's not looking good.

Good Afternoon :)

Tracee~ PLEASE send the cold weather to us!!! It is about 90 here today and I am really READY for Fall!! I wore capris and a sleeveless shirt today, and its Oct!!!

Gin~ Great job today with the weights!! I am looking forward to it tomorrow. I will probably follow Cathe too. I think I will be following the rotation but poss. subbing PS for GS at least one week, since we just did a GS rotation. The Director at the preschool today asked if I want to do a music enrichment next session. (3 months after school from 12-2) I was so excited, I went right to the library to get some ideas!!! Not sure how to fill 40ish min. and which direction I want to go. Any ideas or projects you do for music? Right now I'm thinking more appreciation, with classical for a month, then a month of jazz, then a month of rock (kid friendly rock :) )

Marcy~ I've heard that Kari Andersons Lines, Angels and Curves (1) is really good. I know you'll let us know how this new one you have is. :) I did think Carols freestyle rotation was time involved, I didn't look that closely at first. I think working your legs often without weights would get good results. A lot of Cathes step and kickbox works your legs without weights. I know I stopped doing calf work with weights, and my calves still are defined.

Hi Again!

It was 62 degrees here this morning and I was COLD when we ran.:eek: I honestly don't like the weather colder than 70!! Now it is beautiful outside. I should be out there!

Marcy--Yeah for the KPC jack knife crunches. Sorry about making you not want to do the S&H Biceps tomorrow! They really weren't so bad!

Tracee--Will you do RS or S&H tomorrow? Gear up for it!;-)

Deanie--We have a music teacher at our school, so I don't have to do the music unless she is absent. Although, I realize that I sing ALL of the time to the children as I tell them what to do. I guess in the beginning, I did it because it will get their attention. Now, it is just a habit after so many years. 40 min. is a long time to fill for young children. I wouldtry to involve them with as much movement as possible with the music. Do you have access to instruments that you can have them play? That would be fun. Let me know how it goes.
