Good Morning :)


Today was treadmill 30 min, MIS abs (did on the 8" step), and stretch max #3. I also did 2 chinups and 2 negitive pull ups (hard). I have DOMs in my quads from yesterdays workout!

Question????: Do you want to post what we eat to keep us honest? That may help me get back on trackx(
Here goes:
(woke uup to late to eat before working out)
bfast--4 pancakes (thanks Gin;-) ) and an orange
snack-- Cliff Mojo bar
lunch--breakstone doubles cottage cheese, prepackaged veggies (with lite dressing-may have some;not all), banana
snack--probably hummus and pita
dinner--swordfish and broccli steamed
Mahjong tonight, so I may have some strawberries

Today is actually a day I have my meals planned because the fish is defrosted and I eat at school. Tomorrow may be harder for me.

Gin/Marcy~ Jealous you did MIS together;-) How was it? Did you follow Cathe with weights or go higher? I will be doing it tomorrow. Marcy-how are you feeling today after DS?

Still contemplating a new name-- I like the Cathe sayings idea-- any more thoughts?

Good Morning!

Yes, today was MIS and I am here to say that I AM NOT A FAN!x( Sorry, Deanie.:eek: Not sure if I just wasn't in the right frame of mind or it was just plain tough or both. My HR really got up there with the lower body portion and then my heart just started racing in the middle of the triceps portion. I literally had to pause the dvd and lay down for 5 min. Not good! I went through this about 1 1/2 years ago during a cardio workout. Had it all checked out and everything was fine.

Deanie--You know better than to ask me if I can go higher than Cathe!;-) I still have DOMS in my hamstrings from Tuesday's PLB!

Hello Ladies!

I did MIS this morning. Did the warmup and the deadlifts, switched to Mindy's All About Legs Medicine Ball workout, then went back and finished the rest of MIS. Did one chinup.

Stats:

Deadlifts - 40#
Bench press -36# Set 1, 40# set 2
Flies - Set 1 - 19#; Set 2 - 15#
1-arm rows - 21# both sets
Bbl Row - underhand and overhand - 40#
Rear Flyes - Both sets - 10#
Bbl Upright Rows - 40# only did 12 reps on Set 1 and 10 reps on Set 2
Bbl Overhead Press - 40# both sets Set 1 - 7 reps; Set 2 - 6 reps
Lat Raises - 10# both sets
Crazy 8s - 30# - first set I did fine; had to rest in between 2nd set. I hate crazy 8s!
Hammer curls - 12# 1st set
Alternating Hammers with twist - 10#
French Press - 36#
Overhead Press - 36#
Dips - 36# bbl
1-arm kickbacks - 10# both sets

Food:
Only had a Slimfast Bar so far.
Brought apricots and almonds with me (thanks, Deanie - the almonds go down much easier with the apricots)
Plan on having a salad for lunch
Fiber One Bar - snack
Dinner - don't know - maybe tuna on WW and an orange

Had chicken cutlets last night - made with WW flour and canola oil. DH knows I won't cook with vegetable oil anymore. Also had veggies and ice cream (I can't help it!)

I know - not very good today. Today's workout was kind of long so I didn't have time for an omelet or to pack anything good. We're trying to empty out our cupboards before we move so sometimes I'm not eating too well.

You girls are eating so healthy - maybe it's good we post our menus. You can motivate me. I'm not a soy or cottage cheese person but I should probably start eating cereal again and maybe I'll need the recipe for those pancakes. Do you make a whole batch and freeze them? Gin - would you mind posting it again?

Deanie - Not feeling too bad today after DS. Could probably still use SM though. I'll probably do DS once a week for the next few weeks. Although I want to try using Mark Blanchard's Sedona series for a week to see how that goes. Then I'll use DS, Eoin Finn, Shiva Rea probably for the rest. I liked Cathe's saying this morning: "Are you ready for another set of these?" to which I promptly replied "NO!" Congrats on the chinups!

Gin - MIS is tough! But I liked it. Sorry to hear about your heart racing. I hope you're okay now.

Hi Again!

I ran out of time to do SM, so I will try to get it in in a minute. My director announced today that her last day would be next Friday. The new company that she will be working for wanted her to start right away. Too much is going on!:eek:

I mailed the resume and application today for the K asst. position. I talked to the K teacher again last night and she said they have had SEVERAL applicants. They may be interested in someone else.(I say that)

Marcy--Great job with MIS. I guess I am just a weenie!:-( I will often talk back to Cathe, telling her "No more!" "Enough torture! I feel fine now, thank you. Don't know what all of that craziness with my heart was about this morning!

Here is the Pancake Recipe:

High Fiber-Low fat Pancakes (I double the recipe and freeze and then pop in micro for about 45 sec.)

1 c. low fat buttermilk
1/2 c. quick cooking oats
2/3 c. wheat bran
1/4c. egg subtitute (I use egg whites)
1/4 c. whole wheat flour
2 packets of Splenda
3/4 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt

Combine buttermilk, oats and bran in a large bowl. Let stand for 5 min. Add the egg and beat until blended. In a samll bowl, mix whole wheat flour, Splenda, baking soda and salt until blended. Add to the bran mixture and blend. Prepare a hot skillet or griddle with nonstick spray. pour in 1/4 c. batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on top and edges are dry. Turn and cook about 1-2 min. more.
Serves:4 (2 pancakes each)
Calories: 107 Fat: 1 Fiber 6 WW pts.: 1

Gin - Thanks for the recipe (again!) They look really good. Have you met your new director yet at your present school? Hopefully you'll find out soon about the new job. I'm sure it's torture waiting.

By buyer's mortgage broker is meeting with her tonight. I hope he's going to tell her she got a mortgage commitment and to find out if she closed. I really can't wait too much longer. I have so many plans to make and I can't do anything until I get some confirmation about what's going on with her. Sorry for the rant.
