Good Morning Girls :)

Today was Imax 3. My favorite Imax! When I started, I wasn't sure I was going to get thru the warm up~ I was tired! But before I knew it, I was already on blast 8! Finishing was no problem. I always feel blast 9 is harder than blast 10. Maybe I just enjoy it more.

Here is my revised next two weeks of our rotation. What do you think?
WEEK THREE

Mon: PS Legs plus LIC Ab work

Tues: Imax (1 or 2)

Wed: PS Back and Biceps

Thurs: HIIT on TM and core max segment three

Fri: off

Sat: PS Chest, Shoulders and Triceps

Sun: Boot camp and Kickbox from 4 day split

WEEK FOUR

Mon: Off

Tues: PS Back and, Biceps

Wed: PS legs and abs

Thurs: CTX kickbox and drills CK

Fri: PS Chest, Shoulders and Triceps plus Butts and Guts stability ball abs only

Sat: 60 minute step workout: combine HIS and LIS

Sun: 30 minute interval treadmill or outdoor interval run plus 10 minute abs from Ab Hits plus 10 minute stretching

Personally, I just wanted to do the new cardios once before the November rotation.

Gin~ How'd the hair come out?

Marcy/Tracee~ How were your workouts today?

Good morning DGM -

I had a big scare last night (okay not really but you'll understand when I finish). I got home from work at 5:30 and went right out to our front porch and there was no package. I started thinking all these things like it got lost or someone took it, etc. Then I calmed down and realized that the day is not over and the UPS man usually does come into the neighbor in the evenings. To my relief he drove up around 6:00. :D

I managed to preview low impact all the way through and then watched some of the chest and back work. I'm anxious to see how tough those around the clock pushups are going to be. Then I was able to see a little bit of bootcamp before I got busy with family stuff. That one looks like fun although I know I'm going to get frustrated trying to get all the equipment in place.

This morning I did S&H bi & tri. I am sore from chest work on Tuesday so I'm not sure if that added to my fatigue but I just wasn't very pumped for this workout. I did manage to increase in a couple sets but not in others.

Deanie- thanks for letting us know what you're doing the next two weeks. I'm pretty sure I'm switching over to PS next week and will probably sub a new cardio in one day. Although I had the thought that maybe I don't want to do the new workouts until next rotation because I don't want to get sick of them too quickly.

Marcy - it's a good thing you like to type since you give us so much valuable information. Do you usually have time after your workouts to do all that typing or do you do it after you're at work?

Gin - Are you switching to S&H next week? Hope you had a good workout today.

Good Morning!

Today I did PS Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. I did most of the exzercises the same weight as Cathe. Good thing it was a 41 min. workout since I slept later again. I had another yucky headache last night and didn't get to sleep until 3am so after 3 hours of sleep, I hope I will be awake enough this aft to view the new Cathes. i should get them today!:)

Deanie--
Your schedule looks good for the next 2 weeks. How long is BC and KB together? Glad you enjoyed IMAX3. It is fun.

Tracee--Yeah to getting your new Cathes!

Marcy--Have a great day!

Sorry so short. I gotta run!
Gin:)

Good Morning Ladies!

This morning I did Yoga Wisdom's Yoga for Back Pain & Tight Hips with Allison Nolan and Stretch Max 2. I didn't really care too much for this instructor, something about her voice. It says it was vinyasa style but it didn't seem to have too much flow to it. The standing portion was okay - some chaturanga vinyasas, sun salutes, warriors, chair, standing splits. I do have to say she definitely loosened up the hips and I did some poses I hadn't done before. When we were in pigeon pose, she tells you to lift up your toes on the back leg and where to square your hips and it really did help. There was also another pose where you have your knees crossed with hands tangled in front of you (she said a few times the name where your hands are crossed, but I forget it now) and you bend over from the waist. It was 54 minutes. This isn't one of my top ten but I guess it did do what the title said. SM2 really helped stretch out my back. I always thought SM1 was my favorite of the three but this one really is doing good things for me.

I managed to preview a little bit of Lower Intensity Step and even less of Higher Intensity Step. I liked the music and the steps seemed fun and dancy.

Tracee - Sorry about your scare last night but I'm glad everything worked out and you got to preview. Boot Camp looked like a lot of equipment changes but I have a feeling it won't be so bad once we do the workout. I was also real sore from yesterday's Chest & Back. That's why I did yoga and stretch today which really helped. I type once I get to work. I hardly ever go on the computer at home since I'm on it so much at work and I don't have any time to go on the computer after my workouts because I'm rushing like hell to get out of the house.

Gin - Sorry you had a bad night's sleep. Maybe you can get a nap in later and then preview. I think BC and KB together is between 60-70 minutes.

Deanie - Your rotation for the next two weeks looks good. This was my original plan for the next two weeks:

M - PS Back & Biceps and PUB abs
T - Kick Max
W - PS Chest, Shoulders & Tris
T - Reach, Dancing
F - Yoga or Tracey's Core Strength & Conditioning (or maybe try to do one of these on Sat or Sun)

M - PS Back & Bis
T - PLB Stability Ball, MTV Pilates Bonus leg workout, Rapid Results Pilates Super Toned Buns & Thighs and Waist Slimmer
W - Mix It Up - Nekea Brown (step and kickboxing)
T - PS Chest, Shoulders & Tris and (I'll try core workout from new series), Dancing
F - Yoga

For me, Blast 8 is harder than 9 or 10 for me. It's got those nasty tuck jumps in it. I might try and sneak in one of the step routines this weekend if I get a chance.

Okay, I've typed enough for now. Gotta go! Have a great day!

Marcy

Good Afternoon

Tracee~ Hooray for getting your dvds!!:)

Gin~BC and KB are about an hour. I was trying to keep with Cathes rotation and the time frame for the cardios. I figure since its the first time, we prob. won't get a full out workout, so might as well do them together. One of the things I like about PS is the shorter times. I like the 10 rep sets too. I think if you go as heavy as you can, its really effective. Are you doing S&H or PS next week?

Marcy~ Sorry you didn't enjoy your yoga, but glad you are "stretched " out! :)Are you sticking with your original plan for the next two weeks, or are you going to incorportate some new cardio?

I keep checking the rotations hoping Cathe will post one for the new dvds. It seems a lot of people are like me and only preview once (if that) and are ready to go!

Deanie

Hi Deanie:

I actually did enjoy my yoga, it's just I enjoyed the floor portion much more than the standing. I might try and squeeze in some of the new cardio on the weekends. S&H has been good for me but I think I might try PS for a week and see how it goes. If I don't like it, I'll go back to S&H for one more week. So did you get to preview ALL the workouts? I was just looking over the premixes and see that she has some weights first premixes. There are all kinds of differing opinions on whether to do weights first or cardio but from what I've read, you should do what's more important to you first, which for me is strength. I usually don't preview my DVDs that much. I like to jump right in. I assume maybe we'll do the DVDs as and then maybe she'll add in a day of cardio and maybe the total body weight premix (that one's real long at 97 minutes.) I don't think I've done that much strength training in one session.

Marcy

Marcy~ I didn't preview the HIS and I started to preview LIS, but I think she gives good direction on the step and I don't need to really preveiw that. I wanted to preview BC so I knew what to expect and since the dvd was in the player I previewed KB. I'm not a big previewer. I previewed mostly in the fast forward mode. and all of the weights for BC I fast forwarded through. I looked through the premixes also. the total body one is tooo long for me, but the upper body only is only 66 min. thats okay. I will be doing the weights first premix for all the dvds, okay, well maybe not the legs, we'll see. I'm curious if Cathes rotation will be using the dvds as is all month? or having us use the premixes. If we use it as is, I would add a day of treadmill and one of yoga.

I just "spoke" with the beachbody guy. If I buy only the dvds I want (#1,3,5,9, and 10~ the weight ones) it would be 149.99!!! So I will be getting the whole thing- I guess. I still want to start in March. For me that would be best and I'll prob do heavy lifting till Feb. and in Feb do another cardio/circuit rotation and then start the X.

Deanie

Deanie - I don't know if you want to go the ebay route, but I was just on there and they have a lot of full systems (with manuals) with free shipping for a lot less. I will probably do Cathe's new series for November and them maybe Amy and Tracey for December and January. I might do circuits again in February and then possibly start with you in March. Things might change though if I move during that time (but the way things are going, I don't think I'm moving any time soon.) I'm so glad you're getting the real X and I'm going to look forward to doing them with you. What are you going to do for a pull-up bar or are you going to use the bands?

Marcy

Hey Marcy~ I will look at ebay, but I will probably end up getting it from the website. For the pull up/chin up bar: I think I will get the whole free standing structure~ where there is a chair in the middle for leg ups ab work and on the back is the pull up/ chin up bar. DH said he would be interested in using something like that. Last year Dicks sporting goods had them on sale for 99.$ hopefully they will be that cheap this year (and hopefully not at the same time I buy P90X!!) Hopefully things will workout with your house, maybe you would move before we do the X!! :)

Deanie

Deanie - Are you talking about the tower that's 7 feet high? I think $99 sounds about right. Too bad you didn't live in NY, there was someone here a few months back giving it away for free. I was almost going to get it, but my basement ceiling is too low.

Marcy

Hi Again!

I just met the UPS man at the door.....YIPEEEEE!!!! I finally got my new Cathes. Off to preview!

Gin:7 :7 :D :) :)
