Good Morning Everyone :)

Today was S&H legs and shoulders. I considered doing the shoulders on sat, and just doing the legs today, but I had the time, so I did them together. Sometimes, my shoulders feel fatiqued from the weight from the legs and I feel I am cheating my shoulders of a good workout, but not today:)
Stats:
front lunge: 12#
squats: 55#
reverse lunge: 15#
static lunge: 55#
side lunge: 20#'
plie: 45#
calf raises: 20#
shoulders:
followed Cathe for everything except seated overhead press, I did 15# both sets.

I was very happy with my workout today, I upped my weights for legs on all excersises and for one shoulder excersise (shoulders are hardest for me).

Good Morning DMT!

Today was KPC and I remembered to do the abs first. (Thank you Deanie!) Yesterday I did PS Strong Legs and abs. It was okay, but Cathe doesn't say what weights she is using, which I am not used to. I need a guide. The floor section seemed harder which sometimes is the case with the leg workouts. I liked using the weighted bar. I just have my old Firm sculpting stick, but I know that wasn't 15 lbs.

Deanie--Good job on the legs & shoulders today. Enjoy your Back to School Night. We are going through NAEYC re-accreditation this year and the validator will probably come to observe next week.....stressful to have someone in your room with a clipboard watching your every move and taking notes!x( I'll be glad when it is over.

Tracee--How is the weather there today? It is pouring here!

Hi All!

This morning was S&H warmup, Karen Voight's Great Weighted Workout floorwork and S&H shoulders and stretch. This was the second time doing GWW floorwork and it's still really tough (think Kick Max leg drills on the floor but tougher). My glutes were fried by the end. Here are my stats for S&H Shoulders:

Front Raise - All sets - 10# (went up 2# on sets 2 and 3)
Side Lat Raise - Sets 1& 2 - 12#, Set 3 - 10# (up 2# on sets 1&2)
Posterior Delt Raise - Set 1 - 12#, Sets 2&3: 10# (up 2# on set 1)
Seated Overhead Press - Set 1 - 5 reps at 16#, 2 reps @ 15# (up 1# for 5 reps), Set 2: 15#, 4 reps (up 2#), 13# 4 reps
Side Lying Extensions: 5# both sets

On Friday night I managed to do Rob Glick's Hi-Lo Fusion, a great under 50 minute workout. I didn't do it all out because DH was sleeping but managed to burn 229 calories. I love Rob's choreography, he's great at layering and cueing and his choreography is a lot of fun. Last night I managed to do Spiral Mediation and Mandala Namaskar I from Shiva Rea's Fluid Power.

Deanie - Thanks for the crockpot websites. On Saturday, I made Marie Callender's Chicken Stew which was okay and yesterday I made Chicken Cacciatore (not the processed kind, all natural ingredients). I liked it but DH thought the tomato paste was too thick. It really is great to hardly have any cleanup when we're finished eating. Congrats on DS's win! Good work on S&H Legs! It sounds like you're really enjoying your treadmill.

Tracee - Good work on S&H shoulders! Well, I know I'm not moving to Michigan anytime soon. It's too cold for me (although it would be nice to meet you in person one day.) I have to start rearranging my closets as well.

I don't have the cooldown and I really want it for the premixes. Jari has a new one Ripped & Chiseled but I'm NOT ordering it because it sounds too much like Slim & Lean. Aren't you proud of me?;)

Good morning guys! I'm having an off day today. I woke up too early to workout but then was too tired to get up when I needed to. I'm also having stomach problems which I figure could be cured if I would eat better but I haven't quite made the committment yet.

Marcy - That was so great of you to post all of Cathe's weights she uses in PS. I'm going to have to print that out when I do PS next week. I'll keep my fingers crossed for success with that repeat viewer of your house. If it weren't for family I would move out of Michigan in a heartbeat. Maybe once the kids are grown I'll be able to seek out a warmer climate.

Deanie - good job on the great workout today. I didn't realize today was supposed to be shoulders again. I just did those on Saturday so I probably would have just done legs. Have fun with your school stuff tonight.

Gin - I don't like it when Cathe doesn't tell us her weights either. I've come to rely on that as a guide so much.

Hi Again!

I forgot to mention I met a fellow Catheite at the bus stop on Friday. I've seen her before and she commented that I looked like a lost a lot of weight. We started talking and I mentioned Cathe and she said she had some tapes and also did P90X.

Tracee - Hope you feel better soon. I'll be trying PS next week as well. Isn't it great that Cathe's listing exactly what weights in the new series? It's going to make life so much easier. I'm pretty good with my eating during the week but not so good on weekends. It'll be nice we're all doing PS next week.

Marcy - that's cool that you got to meet another Catheite! Is she someone that gets on the forum or don't you know? I forgot to mention what the weather was like here. Yesterday was cold and rainy but today is a little sunny and in the upper 60's. It's actually quite comfortable. Tomorrow is going to be another rainy day, in fact the rest of the week has a chance of rain everyday. :-(
 
Tracee - Yeah, she said her screen name was nygirl, I think. In case you didn't see, DVDs JUST STARTED SHIPPING! YAYYYYY!!!

It's also in the 60s here, not too bad but it's starting to get too cold for me. I think I'm going to have to buy some new clothes because I think my winter clothes have gotten too big on me. I'm going to like that but my CC won't!

When did you guys pre-order? I pre-ordered on the first day (June 25) Can't wait! I'm sure you guys will get yours first since you live closer.
I have DOMS in my upper back already from KPC this morning.:eek: I am ALWAYS sore after kickbox!! I also have leg and glute DOMS from yesterday....OUCH! So I must have worked something.

Marcy--Thanks for the PS weights format. I am printing it. How did you get this info? I'm just curious. Yes, I am proud of you for not ordering Jari Love's new dvd. I was going to type my WW Chicken Caccitore recipe, but it sounds like you already have one. Clothes too big?? What a nice problem to have.:)

Tracee--Hope your stomach feels better. I would have trouble living in a cold climate. I get chilled when it's below 70....seriously! My DH makes fun of me.

Hi Again!

Gin - I think I ordered on the first day. I think I might have done a search for PS and that's what I got or there happened to have been a thread about PS maybe in DVD Comments forum. I'll be doing Kimberly Spreen's Absolute Kickboxing tomorrow. I don't know if I'm doing the whole thing - I think it's 93 minutes. It's got kickbox combos and combat intervals with a body bar. You're supposed to use a 9# body bar but I only have the bar from my barbell which is 10# so I hope it's okay. I hope I'm not as sore as you tomorrow.

Gin~ I like when Cathe tells us what weight she uses too. Sorry about your DOMs from yesterday, how did you like PS legs? I forget about the abs, were they good? I was thinking of subbing LIC abs for them. I also would hate someone standing in my class with a clip board, but good luck with the accredidation(sp?)

Tracee~ I'm sorry about your stomach. I hope you feel better.
