Good Morning Girls :)

Missed you all yesterday!

Today I did HIIT (level 11) on the treadmill and coremax segment 3 (and I added some pikes on the ball from segment 2) A fun short workout and I got to sleep late!(5:30!)LOL! I will be doing PS again next week, I like the shorter workouts. My legs felt it on Monday and I have DOMs in my biceps today, so I think its good for me to mix it up! I think I am the only one of us who hasn't tried the new workouts yet, I will do BC/KB cardio only on Sat! very excited!

Gin~ Good job with KM yesterday. Good luck with the accredidation, it will be hard to wait to find out if you got it (I'm sure you did!)I hope you had a nice time with your lunch friends! I will be doing Clean Max today myself, Mahjong is here tonight.

Marcy~ WTG with PS c,s,t! I can't wait to do it tomorrow! Thanks for the leg info yesterday. I think I will be following Cathes rotation for the new series. I don't like to lift heavy twice a week. Will you be doing your rotation, and will you be starting next week or doing PS next week? So many ????s :p

Tracee~ Good job with the workout yesterday. Thats the nice thing about PS, a good workout in a short time, and you can sleep later!:) keep us posted with your DS. I'm glad things are looking up. Parenting can be frustating, and leave you feeling guilty; but then theres the fun times too!!

DS7 picked the lego thursday title today. Can you tell he likes legos??? I always feel the house is clean if I only step on 3 legos in a day! :) :) ha ha. Both boys looooove legos and building with them. We have so many sets and "free style" boxes, we can open a lego store!!:)

have a great day guys!

Good Morning!

Today I also slept until 5:30!!:) I did BB's Level 3 yoga. My glutes and upper body are a little sore from yesterday's KM. I think I will go back to PS next week.

Deanie--I like the "Lego" title today. Legos are great for kids to play with! Glad your ds likes them so much. Enjoy your Mahjong group tonight. How was your conference yesterday? I plan to also do the new KB/BC on Sat.

Tracee--Keep us posted on how your ds is doing.

Marcy--What did you do today?

Late for work....
Gin:)

Good Morning!

Today was Shiva Rea's Yoga Shakti. I did one of her preset practices - Solar Flow 2 - Arm Balances & Twists. This was tougher than the last practice I did of hers. There were some really tough arm balances and backbends. I think I should have done shoulder openers because I have really bad DOMS from yesterday and I think a delayed reaction from Back & Biceps on Monday. Now I'm completely sore but luckily today is our Health Fair so I get my flu shot and a chair massage.

I keep hearing how tough HIS is. I did the first 10 mins. which wasn't bad but I hear the 3rd combo is really tough. Have any of you done it yet?

Deanie - I'm still up in the air about whether to do PS or S&H next week. I was going to wait to finish out this rotation before doing the new series and I still want to wait for Cathe's rotation. I guess I'll have to also see what time I wake up in the morning. The shorter practices were a nice relief especially when waking up late. Good luck at Mah Jongg tonight!

Gin - At first I wasn't crazy about BB's Level 3 but it's great for stretching the hamstrings with all those forward bends.

Tracee - Hope things are getting better with DS. What did you do today?

Have a great day. BBL.

Good morning Lego Ladies!! ;)

No workout for me this morning, I just couldn't get motivated even though I was awake. I'm planning to do KM tomorrow.

Marcy - congrats to your ds for going to culinary school. I can't wait to see what all my kids decide to do with their lives. I feel like my dh and I haven't been the best role models for following your dream because we're both in jobs that we don't have any real passion for and I really want something different for my kids. I like your routine for the new series, I may try to do some of that too. I'm probably going to go with whatever Cathe comes up with although I'm sure she's going to have too many cardio days for me.

Gin - congrats on getting through the accredidation process. I'm not really sure what that is but it sounds like a good thing. I'm glad you'll be doing PS again next week. I think I'm going to stick with it also, even though the fast weight changes drive me nuts. I should just be prepared in the beginning and get all my weights laid out on the floor so I don't get lazy like this week.

Deanie - I think your ds has the new job of official title namer. Ha! Good job on the treadmill today. Do you watch tv while you're doing it?

My ds made it through the first hours of school which have been the toughest for him this week so that's a good thing. I could really see how depressed and worried he was this morning and it just broke my heart. I'm a huge basket case these last few days but I have a call into a therapist and I'm hoping to get him in soon so we can all learn how to cope better.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Tracee!

Maybe KM will be good tomorrow. You can punch all the stress out of your body. I started out following my dream of being a dancer but reality set in and I met my ex-husband and the rest is history although I'm thankful I always kept my passion for dancing. I think it's good you're getting a therapist for DS. The sooner you find out the problem, the sooner you'll get results. I always try and lay out my weights the night before although I don't have three kids to deal with and homework, bedtime, bathing, etc. I'm glad you like my routine but I still want to check and see exactly what the upper body premix consists of. I think someone said it didn't have core which is why I added it on the cardio days. I hope Cathe posts the November rotation a little earlier so I have time to decide.

Good Afternoon

I don't really have time to check in, I should be CLEANING!!! Ha Ha!! I would rather do ANYTHING other than clean!! ;) And chatting with you all is so much more fun!:p

Marcy~ I forgot to say I think its great your son is going to cooking school! I love to cook! That is a skill, even if he ends up doing something else, that is so wonderful to have! Hopefully he will practice on you and your DH and you will have yummy meals! I also heard the upper body premix doesn't have the abs, or a warmup and cooldown.

Gin~ I will be doing PS next week also! :) The conference yesterday was AMAZING!! It was all about play=learning. So many parents in this area are soooo concerned that their child be ready for Harvard by kindergarten, they want the kids to learn academics so early and its hard to educate the parent on how important block building or dress up can be. They feel this is wasted time, when their child could be learning the alphabet instead!!!! argh!! So we talked about the importance of play, and how we can get the message to the parents!! Its so sad how many kids are being tutored at kindergarten and younger ages and how many kids are playing computer "learning" games instead of PLAYING OUTSIDE!!! Obviously, I have strong feelings about this;) :7 and I'm so happy the school is heading in the right direction. Our school used to be very academic (which is why my kids didn't go there) and now with the director from my old school here, the school is turning around. (one of the reasons the director wanted to bring me in was because I think like her)

Tracee~ I use my ipod on the treadmill. It really makes you feel old, when your 11 year old knows how to download and add your songs on the ipod, and you have no idea!LOL He also did my new ringer on my phone for me, downloaded and applied!! My son, because of his ADD, talks to a counselor. It is wonderful and has helped him alot.

Hi Again!

Deanie - I feel the same way you do about cleaning. UGH! DS has been talking awhile now about going to cooking school. He wants to be a pastry chef which will not be good for my waistline but I look forward to trying his yummy treats. He came by the other day with a box of Godiva white chocolate (my favorite). I finished the box yesterday:) :( Needless to say, this morning my body fat was pretty high. I didn't realize the upper body premix didn't have a warmup or cooldown. I might have to rethink my original plan. I agree about the direction your school is going in. Kids need to learn to socialize and progress at their own pace and not be forced at such a young age to do so much academics. And we all know physical activity is important which kids these days don't get enough of. My DH downloaded all the songs into my IPOD. It looked like too long a process for me and I'm the one on the computer all day!

Hi Again!

Marcy--OOOHHH!! I need a flu shot, too. I have not done HIS yet. I have a dread factor with yoga lately, but make myself do it. I guess that's the way MOST people are with exercise in general.

Tracee--Enjoy KM tomorrow. I am sore today from doing KM yesterday.x( I'll keep my fingers crossed that the therapist helps.

Deanie--I hear you about the parents wanting their children to focus on the academics, but they certainly do learn by playing at that age. And social skills are so important in knowing how to get along with others. We have out conferences tomorrow. I'm only concerned about one of them. The director said that the validator was very impressed with our school....whew!:) But, we still won't get the oficial news for 3 months.

Gin:)

Hey Gin!

I also got my blood pressure and body fat checked. The technician actually said I needed more body fat! I don't think so. My blood pressure was 126/84. That's the highest I've ever had it in my life but she said as we get older, it gets higher which I've noticed to be true. Then she asked if I ate and had a cup of coffee - yes to both. I'll be going to the doctor on Monday so I'm curious to see what numbers I have there. I think the yoga this morning aggravated my shoulders even more - all those arm balances. Tomorrow I'll be doing Reach. I'm looking forward to doing legs after pretty much 2 days of upper body. I'm sure if the validator was impressed there won't be any problems.
