Good Morning GMT

Today was LIS cardio only! Fun! Love the hhip hop move and I even like the blasts! Plus it was nice knowing I only had 40 min. of cardio today:+

Today is my dance enrichment. Last week I taught the kids the bunny hop--today the alley cat:p I am really having fun with this enrichment.

Gin~ Ihope you are feeling better! Did you do yoga today?

Marcy~ What body part did you workout today?

Monday is the Purim carnival at school (its a holiday where we dress up- kind of like Halloween) and I need a costume to wear--something I can throw together from what I have at home. I'm drawing a blank!! I thought maybe a cowboy/girl because I could do jeans and boots, but I don't have a hat or a flannel shirt! So I'm back to square one!Any ideas?!!Help:)!

BBl,
Have a great day

Goood Morning!

Today was the yoga day. BB's Level 3. Tomorrow I'm planning on MM and Sat. cardio, but not sure which. I'm not sure I want to attempt MIC just yet!:p I slept until 6 this morning and still didn't want to get up.

Deanie--LIS is so fun to do!:) I may do LIS/HIS Sat. I'll bet you are great with the dance enrichment! I am not good at coming up with costumes. Do you have a plaid shirt or just a plain ls shirt and a bandana? Wish I could send you a cowboy hat. We have several in our home center for dress up.

Marcy--How was dancing last night?

Have a great day!
Gin:)

Good Morning Ladies!

Today was Peter Sterios' Gravity & Grace yoga. It was my first time doing it so I didn't know what to expect. It's definitely different from anything else I've ever done and somewhat advanced. There was a basic practice that was 96 minutes and an extended practice for 130 minutes. You could also customize it. I added on the advanced hip openers which were good but didn't have time for advanced arm balances and advanced backbends. I managed to do somewhat of a headstand but still have a little bit of fear of falling over. I do have to say I feel extremely flexible after this. For hip openers, he did a lot of splits. Not much core work in this one. Although maybe I just didn't get to it today. There were a lot of poses I hadn't done before and some arm balances he did were quite amazing. I managed a couple of arm balances. I have a review of it but I need to look up what all the poses were.

Deanie - I still remember doing the alley cat in the gym in first grade. Sorry I'm not very good on the creative end. Never was much into Halloween although it's my DS's favorite holiday.

Gin - Went dancing Tues. night at another dancer's house and it was lots of fun. This lady had a house custom built and it was awesome. Gave me lots of ideas for my new home (if I ever get there!) She made a studio out of her basement which had a southwestern theme with hardwood floors, mirrors and a split rail fence. She even had a DJ booth and bless her heart, air conditioning.:) It seems most of the dance places don't even have ceiling fans. But the one I usually go to has A/C in the summer. But when you dance, you pretty much need it year round. She gave me a full tour of her house and I was blown away. It should have been in a home magazine.

I don't blame you for not wanting to attempt MIC. I would probably wait another week. I think LIS/HIS is a better choice.

Only a couple of more days for new blog pics. Can't wait!

Have a great day!

Hi Again!

Too bad I'm not in GA yet. They were having an audition for line dancers to appear in a Tyler Perry movie with Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodward. The scene takes place in a country bar and you were supposed to come to the audition dressed country western with boots, hat, etc. Oh, well. Hopefully, they'll be more opportunities when I get down there.

Still no work yet on the house. My DH is getting really depressed over it all. I'm trying to keep my spirits up but I can't say I'm far behind him.

Deanie - So did DH decide if he's going to do the X? Think of a new costume?

Gin - So did you take the 5s for next year?

Marcy

Hi Again!

Marcy--The dancer's house you went to sounds great. I can not imagine not having a/c! Did you take dance in college? My freshman roommate was a ballet major. Sorry about the house delays. I will probably teach 5s next year, but I have not told the director yet.

Deanie--Did you come up with a costume?

Gin:)

Gin - Never went to college but took 7 years of ballet and a little bit of jazz, tap, Spanish and character dancing. I've been line dancing for about 3 1/2 years.

Did you ever get Yoga Shakti?

Marcy

Probably missed you all but...

Gin~ A friend said she could lend me her scrubs. If she remembers on Monday I will go with that, otherwise I am still stumped! I took dance thru college (ballet/jazz), but it wasn't my major. Is it to early to say congrats on taking the 5s?

Marcy~ Sorry to hear about the house, I hope it all works out for you! My DH still hasn't started the X and now he may wait till after our vacation- its silly to start it for one week and take a break. sometimes he gets all excited to do something, but never gets to it.... I would like him to do it though! Spanish dancing sounds fun- was it?
