Good Morning Gals

Today was PLB! I had a small dread factor with this dvd today because the floor work is always so hard! I usually end up doing the second leg doing the outer leg lifts off the ball (does that make sense???:)) Today though, I surprised myself and was able to do all the leg lifts, both legs, on the ball!! Hooray!!:7 :7 }( My legs were burning at the end though and I really enjoyed the stretch. I think the key for me today will be not to sit down to much, or for long! LOL

Gin~ How much fun did you have today with kickbox???? I don't know what it is about that workout, but I never get tired of it! Did you fax your resume today? Keep us posted. I am sending positive vibes your way:7

Marcy~ Did you enjoy DS????(david swenson) I hope so!! I liked your rotation for last month as an endurance rotation. Are you going to continue with that this month? Thanks for the chinup/pullup info. I think I am going to add them into my routine once a week. Its not much, but something! (I can't do a pull up anyway)

Have a great day girls
I'll BBL,
Deanie

PS-- You know how I like to change things up-- Thinking about a new name for us----any thoughts???

Good Morning Girlies!

Today was run and then 4ds KB and abs. "Kick the door down!";-) It is a fun one. I just enjoy all of the 4ds workouts!

Deanie--Love the title today. My hamstrings are sore this morning.x( With PLB my calves start to take over with the floor work and then they cramp up. Tough stuff!}(
Thank you for the positive vibes. I need them! I have not talked to anybody about this. So I am only able to vent with you guys. Yesterday I talked to the girl who is the K asst. now. She used to teach pre-school with me. She has been doing this for 4 years now and has had enough. The teacher she works with is difficult to work with and doesn't get along with one of the other teachers. But, on the plus side we would save $700. a month on ins. and I would make more $. I will probably send in my resume and go from there.
Thanks for listening to all of this!:p
Any name you choose is fine by me!

Marcy--DS today? I am doing DS on Sat. DWTS last night? Tell me that was a April Fool's Day joke when they were talking about their hobbies. Please tell me that Kristi Y. hasn't won a hot dog eating contest!! ICK!:p
DS's wedding is April 26.

Have a great day!
Gin:)

Good Afternoon Girls!

I finally did David Swenson's First Series. This was tough but doable. Some poses I'd never done before. Only a couple of arm balances. Those come in the next series. I've finally getting the knack of doing headstands. I just can't believe how David gets out of certain poses into the vinyasas. I'm sore from head to toe. And really tired (too much TV watching last night!) Why does everything have to be on Tuesday? I hope I'm able to do MIS tomorrow. I feel like I just need Stretch Max. I miss not having music a little but he really forces you to concentrate on your breath which is good.

Deanie - Good work on PLB! That ballwork is tough. I made it through pretty well the last time I did it a couple of weeks ago. I haven't figured out yet what I'm doing for a next rotation. I had to start digging into my packed boxes for some workouts. I'm sorry but I'm at a loss for a new name. Maybe your DS's can come up with some since they were so creative the last time.

Gin - I was also really surprised at Kristi winning hot dog eating contests. It always amazes me that the skinniest people can eat that many. Where do they put them? I'm not surprises Gut got the boot! Although he wasn't that bad. I think the contestants are very talented this year. I'm sending positive vibes your way too with the job. Are you going to be able to meet the other teacher soon. The money sounds great but I hope she's not too horrible to work with. Money's great but going to a job where your miserable isn't. Are you all done planning your rehearsal dinner?

Marcy

Hi Again!

Deanie--How about one of Cathe's phrases for our name? Let's do one more, Hello! Here we are, No time for down time, A little MORE conversation (instead of less), Having a blast, Feelin' it good. I'm sure you can come up with something better, but those are some suggestions.

Marcy--DS is the most flexible person I know. He is the Human Pretzel. I prefer music also.
What else do you watch on Tues? I keep up with Am. Idol also. Don't you think that was an April Fool's Day joke when they were talking about their unknown hobbies? It just couldn't be!! Eating contests really disgust me!!x(
I know the K teacher. She is a friend of a good friend of mine. The K teacher is the one that called me to tell me that the position was available. I guess she can be a little bossy or know-it-allish. I don't like to be in charge of big people, but I enjoy being in charge of little people. Did that make sense? There are pros and cons to each job.
I sent the rehearsal dinner invites out yesterday. I still would like to talk to the chef/owner of the restaurant one more time. Make placecards, order personalized m&m's to sprinkle on the tables and borrow or rent a dvd projector for the slide show we made. At least I don't have to write a toast!!

Sorry for my rambling!
Gin:)

Hi guys

Gin~ It sounds like everything is moving right along for the wedding:) If you already know the teacher you'd be working for, I'd say you're ahead of the game. Good Luck! I'll put my DSs on it when they get home... I still like Groovy Girls, but I can't remember if you guys did.... I love the slide show idea for the dinner. I think we want to do something like that for the barmitzvah. Its nice.

Marcy~ I know!!!!!(about David Swenson) I love the workout/practice. You will get really strong/flat abs if you do that video on a regular basis. When I was really into yoga and only did yoga, that was my favorite practice and boy were my abs flat!! It is a great overall body workout. If you can't do MIS on Thursday, I'll be doing it on Fri. (I will be doing MIS abs tomorrow though)

Hi Again!

Gin - On Tuesdays, I watch Biggest Loser, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and if we time everything just right, we like to watch Beauty and the Geek but we can only tape two shows on TIVO so we have to go upstairs to watch things while downstairs we're recording. Sounds like you have everything under control for the wedding/dinner. I like your idea of Cathe's sayings. I'll start listening more carefully when I do the workouts.

Deanie - Thanks for letting me know about what good abs you got doing yoga. That's encouraging. My DH always says how tiny I am but if we could just cut off the stomach, I'd be perfect. I admit I'm being a total glutton lately and my eating's gone out of control. I'm being good today though - I had egg whites with yellow pepper, spinach and WW toast this morning, Fiber One Bar, Healthy Choice Grilled Chicken Marinara, an orange and I'm drinking water. Maybe I should just do yoga till I move and then I won't have to worry about a rotation (and probably dance, step and kickbox for cardio). Hopefully I'll get flab abs like you. Let's Go, Let's Go is good too. If you want to do more chins, maybe you should join the Chinnin' checkin (I started posting there.) We can use more people and this way you'll be obligated (well, determined) to do chins.

Marcy

Marcy-- funny, my eating has been out of control (for me) lately too. I've been eating challah (bread) like crazy! With butter (smart balance) on it. We get Challah for Fri. night dinner, but the school also sells rolls for sandwiches made of the same dough/bread. Its so good its like a dessert. I'm sure there is a ton of real butter in it. I had two rolls plus my regular lunch yesterday. And its in my kitchen and been calling me all dayx( ! My stomach was flatter with yoga than with Cathe. I think the weight work and targeting the abs make mine pop a little. Does that make sense??? I think I read someone (christine--with the dog after her signature) said she did a month of yoga only to take a break and enjoyed it. Could be the perfect solution for you.

Okay, I will listen more carefully also to the workouts too and we can come up with something.

Deanie

Oh--I don't know if I want to do another check in. I've started checking in on the daily checkin and that and you all are good for me. Thanks though:7

Deanie - I love Challah. My grandmother used to get it all the time. It's the best bread. Never knew how many calories in it though. Glad to hear your stomach was flatter with yoga and that Cathe included yoga (and Pilates) inspired abs in STS. I can't wait to see what the Workout Manager looks like.

I guess it's yoga and cardio for me then for the next few weeks. I think I'll be happier especially with everything else going on right now.

So are you going to try and chin tomorrow?

Marcy
