Need some cheering up?

This is hilarious! Some of you may have seen this before but this has to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen! First read the story about how she found them, then click on the recipe cards and check out the comments. Sooooo funny! My personal favorite is the Mexican Shrimp Orange Salad. :D

Thank you so much Dani!!! I needed a good chuckle and will be sharing this with family and friends:)
Sooooo funny, I'm sorry but the 'Fish Balls' have got to be my favourite but I haven't read them all yet. Mexican Shrimp Orange Salad looked interesting and I love the 'bong water' comment:7
Thanks again Dani, that's the funniest web site I've seen in far too long!

Makes me appreciate the diet era we live in! And whoever wrote the commentaries should consider a career in comedy! My favorite was the green bean and mushroom JELLIED salad - what was the attraction to jellying things back then? And the props...

Oh my goodness I am cracking up and astounded all at the same time. DH swears he ate some of that stuff...the fish balls look especially familiar to him...no lie! My personal favorites are the toast-instead-of-tortillas recipies. I'm so glad a grew up eating the real, from scratch tortillas my grandma makes. And real enchiladas and tacos (my mom's are the best...I'm hungry!). I gotta forward this to my sister...hilarious and scary all at the same time!

Thanks for the great laugh this morning!!:D

You guys I know this IS soooo funny. I was laughing so hard I was crying too!!

CinDee...I grew up on homemade tortillas too!! Yummy and thick and warm. My mouth is watering now. We'd eat them warm with melted butter. I'm half Mexican and my grandparents used to live upstairs from us when we were little, and I'd get to eat them every day!!

:)

Oh my! I just love the little comments she's added. The little ceramic animals hovering over the Mexican Shrimpy-Orange Salad is hysterical! "Why have they gathered? What do they want? Stop it! Stop staring!":7

I'm just now seeing your reply...butter and tortillas with a bit of salt...very yummy! I'm all Mexican and when I'd go stay at my grandparents in the summer I'd chub out...fortunately my mom bought only corn tortillas or I'd would have stayed chubbed out! Grandma taught me to make them, but they don't exactly fit into my nutritional plan and they're just too time-consuming. But now I'm thinking every once in a while it might be worth it...:9

Hi CinDee!

Corn tortillas are yummy too! (1/2 the cals of flour) I like them wrapped with some refried beans and jalepenos and a little light sour cream. Okay...time for lunch! I'm hungry!!

I still eat flour tortillas once in a while, I can't live without them. I'll buy El Milagros from the store. Those are the closest I could find to home made. When we go to my aunt's she always makes an extra batch for me to take home.

Oh, and I always heat them up on the flame over the stove instead of the microwave.

:)
