Friday Fun! Tell us something....

Joni - you're making me hungry!!! :9 I would totally buy your cookbook! I hope you do get it published, what an achievement that would be!

Do you talk like Julia Child when you're cooking? Or is that just something I do? ;)

The worst part was the shoes. Looking back now, I wonder how I didn't break my neck. But you're right, it is an awesome workout. I wouldn't do it now for....well, maybe $1,000,000, but who would pay that much to see a stay at home mom with stretch marks and cellulite break a pole?????

I dropped out of high school the day I turned 16.

I started college when I was 23, did my BA in 3 years & my MA in one.

The shoes were the worst part for you????? Pshaw! The wax job and the $400 I spent on clothes, shoes, tan, etc. was the worst part for me! (I still have all of that stuff too, in case the secretary thing doesn't work out! :))

Shelley -

I know something interesting about you that not too many people know.....it involves YOUR FEET!!!! }( }( }(

I don't have much either....

I think most of you know that I have anosmia....no smell.

I met my b/f through Yahoo personals.

Geez, I'm boring myself to sleep. :-(

Shelley, you have something! dig deep girl! Even I have done something, and I know NOONE that leads a more boring than I do! I will give a snickerdoodle! A sugar-free snickerdoodle! :p

Shelley, honey.

Dude that is so not true.

First, you've raised what sounds like an amazing kid in spite of tough circumstances.

Second, you do the Viper PLUS a coremax segment and you don't get DOMS. That is nothing short of damn athletic. I wanna be you when I grow up and get my fitness act together. (I can rarely finish a whole Cathe workout - and even when I do 3/4th of one I modify modify.)

Third, you have a way with words and humor that brightens all of our days and keeps us laughing our heads off.

All that and I don't even know you that well -- you got a lot girlfriend.

How 'bout you're (slightly) over 40 but you look 21???

:7 :7

>I feel so boring! I got nothing!

Shelley - I KNOW you gotta have something! You're one of the most bizarre... er... interesting people I know! ;)

Nope, I have to keep waxing and spraying on the tan. Neither of them lasts long!

ETA: Oh, ha ha. I just got that.

Oh Emily, I've got stuff, but honestly, nothing I feel I could share here without tarnishing my reputation beyond repair.;)

I have NEVER waxed. Anyone who does that is the bravest person I know. PAIN, GREAT PAIN! I won't do anything that causes that much pain and doesn't result in a child!(and I am NOT having any more of those!)

You ladies are all amazing, can't wait to find out more about you and get to meet some of you.

Like Maximus I finished high school in 3 years, BA in 2 1/2 years and MA in one-now I'm plugging away on that PhD.

Emily-My husband taught himself to play the guitar pretty much the same way you did the piano. He's amazing, and I can't even hold the thing correctly LOL!

Shelley-I'm sure you've got something, come on... it's you!

Here's one that comes in handy a lot, even if maybe it's not the greatest accomplishment. I have a weird "talent" for picking the most ripe, juiciest fruit. You could put me blindfolded in front of a barrel of watermelons and I'd come out with the most red, dripping, sweet one in the bunch. You name it, I can pick it. Oh, and for some reason I can make unnaturally good apple pies, and I don't even like apple pies. :p

Bwahhhahhaha.... I'm far too serious about my cooking to talk like Julia Child  But I have been known to accidentally hack off digits and appendages and keep on cooking like nothing happened.

I once served a large portion of fingernail in a (ironically) Blood orange cheesecake I made for a baby shower.

So now you'd try my recipes but not my cooking -right? :9 :9

Luckily, I was the one who got the fingernail. Which surprised and grossed me out because I was certain I'd successfully fished it out of the batter. Eeewwww.....

Yeah it was rough going for a while there LOL.

I got a BA in political science from Washington College (MD, not St. Louis), & an MA in American History from William & Mary. Boy do I miss college! My cousin is off to GWU to major in poli sci this fall & I am so jealous!

Mattea, I'm taking you to the grocery store with me this weekend!!! :D

Oh, and can you bake me one of those apple pies for July 1? That's when I can have pie again... ;)
