Hello Cold Peeps!

Ellie its 23 over here in NC and I need to get started just raised the heater just a bit and I need to get my kids ready also. Going to heat up my car before I hit the road!

Lets stay warm!

Dani was it you who asked how I get in so much water in?

Well I start my day as I'm still waking up and just drank 20 oz of water. I keep my water bottle next to my nightstand so as I start waking up that's the 1st thing I do.

I'll be drinking another 20 oz within this hour and I take a water bottle into the car with me as I drive my kids to school so that's 60oz of bottled water before 8am.

My body is used to all the water so I use the bathroom about once an hour or once every other hour doesn't feel that frequent. Once your body gets used to all the liquid you don't have so many bathroom breaks sorry for TMI

Have a great day Peeps!

Good morning all! It was so warm here this past weekend with temperatures in the 50s and near 60. It is going to snow tonight with accumulations of 4" and cold tomorrow and then back into the 50s for the rest of the week. That's Denver weather for you. It's so crazy. I love it though because it usually is never cold for that long and the snow doesn't stay around long either. We had a blizzard here in 2003 that dumped 24" of snow and all that snow melted in 2 days. There wasn't a trace of it left anymore. Unbelieveable!

Sorry for my post about the weather, but not much has happened since I posted yesterday and I don't have much to say :D

Wendy - yes, we are long lost relatives. That place was so awesome that we went for brunch yesterday. I was sitting there thinking it would be your type of thing, which is why I posted the link. I thought you would totally dig it. Funny you should ask about tea time. We saw that on the menu when we were there yesterday and decided to do our next book club at that same place and get tea and coffee and maybe some cheese. Has your house recovered from Houdini's party yet?

Ellie - sorry to hear it is so cold in NJ. It better not be that cold when I am there in 2 weeks. What are your plans for the day?

Heather - that is wonderful about your friend's DH going to the gym and eating a healthy breakfast. She must be so excited. I hope that things continue to go well with that situation.

Hi to all the other peeps that stop by today!

Guten Morgen, Peeps!

OK, since we are starting with weather updates, I'll do the one for Dallas: windy and overcast and 66 today. Slight chance of rain this afternoon. :)

Insomnia bit me AGAIN last night and I was up from 3AM till 4AM and then slept until 6:52AM. UGH!!!!!!! I hate the morning scramble and then NO WORKOUT!! I will do my best to do something tonight after Houdini turns in for the evening. Mabye weights would be good, or Core Max, just something!! I do have some DOMS from Patrick's Play Ball workout today. Did I mention I loved that workout? HA! I'm going to ask DH to get me his stability ball cardio workout for Christmas, I like this one so much.

Ellie--Stay warm! Double up on that coffee this morning!!

Vilma--I read Jane Fonda's fitness book a looooooooooong time ago and she did what you did with the water. Kept it everywhere and drank tons of it. Hmmm. If I can age as well as she had, I'm going to start drinking that much NOW.

Karin--You MUST write a full report on going to tea next month! The plate I was drooling over had figs and cheese...That would make me a happy girl, tea with figs and good cheese! YUMMY! My house is *almost* recovered from Houdini's party. I unboxed all the toys, and my little tomboy is really digging Elmo's Giggle Garage the most. (It has little cars that touch the various car ports and the different characters chime in with car related sayings, like Bert going, "Drive through!" and Ernie giggling and saying "Sudsy!" when the car goes through the car wash.

So I must be INSANE but on Sunday I'm hosting a Swedish Cookie and Coffee Playdate for six kiddos and moms. We're having Swedish gingersnaps, Swedish chocolate cookies, I'm ordering a kringle from the OH Danish Bakery in Wisconsin and Starbucks coffee. At least my house has been super cleaned so hopefully I'll just have to tidy on Saturday...

:) Wendy

Hi Peeps:

just had a quick minute and will BBL for personals, but wanted to send some warm thoughts to you popcicle peeps! Isn't much better here in Vegas, but at least it isn't frozen!

have a great Monday!

I like the Peepsicles!!!!
And right now I am actually frozen solid.

I had offered to pick up and drop off toys that the local Dr. offices had collected for my dear friend Dr. Epple. I was giving them to the jaycees and Rotary etc. I had told the recipients that I wasn't sure how big of a turnout there would be due to bad economic times.

HOLY SHIT!!!!! (sorry)

My arms are killing me. I went to the first office and filled my SUV with toys. Took them to the Jaycees. Went to the next office and FILLED my SUV with toys, brought them to the Rotary. And on it went. I actually had to find groups that needed the toys for our community because there were soooo many. I was overwhelmed. I had planned to bring the boys with me but am so glad i didn't. There was no room for their carseats!!!

HOLY SHIT!!!! (again my apologies)

I am frozen solid and very tired, but it was worth every minute. The toy drive doesn't end until the 15th and I have no idea how I will do this all over again. But I got to say, peeple are wonderful. Dr Epple was a pediatrician, he would want the needy kids to have a great Christmas. And boy will they ever!!!

That counts as my workout for today, right?????
Did I mention that I'm frozen solid????

Hey fellow Peepcicles!

I'm freezing tonite too and need to go out into the garage and dig out my fuzzy socks!!! but not because it's freezing outside... just got done with GSCT and feeling a bit "strange"... it is TTOM for me, so maybe that's it... I was so excited to be able to use my High Step risers tonite though... how silly! AND I got to use my slanted risers too! Love those incline presses and flies!

Ellie: did you ever get warm today? I truly miss my fire place!!! You are such a great little Santa's helper! What a joy to see that even in economic hard times, people still give to help kids! I'm sure your beloved pediatritians are smiling down as people carry on their wishes! :) Wouldn't it be cool if there was not a single kid in your area that had to go without at Christmas this year?! all because of the generosity of the whole community!

Vilma: OMG!!! I'm barely cognosant enough to put one foot in front of the other when I get out of bed, let alone to drink 20 oz's of water! I guess I'm gonna have to try to the ol' "force it down" mentality... I can tell that the weather is changing and my skin and body are craving more fluids... My mom carries around a water bottle due to a chronic cough, but I am always amazed how much she drinks... you put her to shame! It definately makes it easier to get in your 64 oz's when you have 60 by 8am! I did manage to put in 4 more water bottles into my fridge this afternoon, and will definately give it a try tomorrow and see if I can manage to drink those 4! that would be a great accomplishment for me!

Karin: I have heard that Denver is a very strange climate! Not sure if it is the altitude or what, but have seen 60 degree days with 6 inches of snow on the ground in January! We used to have the same sort of days in Alaska, just not to the extremes, but the weather people always said "wait 5 minutes and the weather will change"! I was also charmed by your little cafe! DH and I used to live in a quaint little fishing village in Washington State, across the sound from Seattle, and LOVED going to all the little whole in the wall places... some really YUMMY food and pretty ingenious surroundings... There was one I remember that had a bakery that made some to-die-for pastries... criossants with ham and bre cheese!!! awesome! and cookies the size of softballs! You will have to let us know how you enjoy the 'tea party'! Thanks for sharing that with us!

Wendy: well, not being that "social" I do question the sanity of ANYONE that invites more than one or two people over to their house, and two weekends in a row is just plane unthinkable for me!!! I like my peace, quite and tranquility! lol!!! but good for you for having the Moxy to do all that entertaining! Those pastries and cookies sound absolutely divine!!! So sorry for the insomnia... I just couldn't take it any more and had to resort to meds, but do understand that being comatose with a little one would not be advisable... I do believe that Advil PM is much better (with virtually NO morning after hangover feeling) for an OTC aid... although if you never know when you are gonna wake up it's sorta hard to know when to take them! Hope your workout tires you out enough tonite to leave you in lala land for the entire night!

Waves to JJ, Laura, Heather, Jerry and all peeps who follow... sweet dreams!

Well, I just finished the full body premix on PUB/PLB. I haven't done it before but JJ inspired me to pull out that DVD. I didn't want to spend a whole hour on just arms or legs so this worked out perfectly for me. I also added on the stability ball legs at the end. I think that was the hardest part along with the biceps. Also, there are two sets of leg presses in this workout and I wasn't exicted about that so next time I might substitue wall squats or wall sits in place of them.

I'll do more personals tomorrow. Must eat dinner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
