Foxy Fusionistas - June!!! :)

Good morning!!

Monday's workout was Ballistic Backside & Tuesday's was Speed & Agility, 50 leg presses, 10 pullups(not done back to back) & Zcut Strength workout #1 done without the weights. Next week will be a recovery week. I plan to do cardio & yoga.

Wendy: I would love to do your workouts with you, but I still struggle without a dvd to follow. Congrats on the employment opportunity, I knew it was coming!!:) Smart man!! I googled Spartan Sprint race & it looks like the mud run we have here in SC. My DD & I had planned to try it last year. We would have to enter as a 4 man team & our other teammates dropped out,:mad:so we didn't do it.

Katie: Way to go matching Cathe, that is no easy feat! You didn't sleep well & still worked out? I can't do that on a full nights sleep.:p I just don't feel like it the moment I wake up.:rolleyes: I hope you slept better the following night. I think I'll try & do a ZCUT rotation but no promises.:p:rolleyes::D

Have a great day Ladies!!;)

Hi ladies!

Yesterday I went to Punch class after work. This morning I was scheduled to do Tabatacise, but just couldn't muster up the energy. So I took it down a notch and did Step Moves instead. Candidly that workout has almost become to easy for me; I barely worked up a sweat. Oh well! Something is better than nothing, right?

Wendy: Yay for a rest day! :) EEK!!! So excited to hear that the PT owner is ready to make it official. Well, so to speak, lol! That's fantastic news! I think you should definitely enter the Spartan Sprint Race! I'm doing a Warrior Dash in August. I think they are sorta similar. Speaking of the Warrior Dash, I guess I need to start running again soon! Nice workout this morning. I'm glad one of us managed to do Tabatacise. ;)

Wiggie: Yowza girl! After Tuesday's crazy workouts you are going to need a recovery week fo sho. :) TEN PULLUPS?!?! That's awesome! I can't do one.:confused: Yes, I definitely slept better the last two nights. Plus yesterday I had to take the cats to the vet (nothing serious, just annual check up and shots) so I got to sleep in yesterday morning. I sure love sleeping in!! :D

Good Morning, Ladies! :D:D:D

I'm sooo freakin' excited/nervous/scared/happy (should I keep the list going?? :p)!!! What a great night last night! Not only am I now officially employed as a personal trainer (I am doing my first paid session tonight!!!) but then I came home and signed up for a Spartan Sprint Race in PA next month with a few people from the studio! :D:eek::D:eek::D

So the PT studiojob is an owner/operator deal. He said I tell him when I can work and he doesn't tell me what to wear. LOL Being able to set my own availability is perfect right now and it's what I've been doing through out the internship so everything should go smoothly. I get paid per session, not per hour which means if I train 2 + people at the same time (PT, not group) and I am getting paid $10 per session then I get paid $20 for the hour as opposed to just getting paid $10 per hour. Make sense?

Wiggie:: Nice work outs for you! You must be only a few days away from COMPLETING YOUR ROTATION!!!!:D So why did you have to enter that Mud Run as a team??? We are entering the Spartan as singles but the studio owner emailed them to make sure we all race at the same time. Next year they are forming a team for a Spartan in NY state. If I like it, I will do it with them but I don't know what the point of a "team" is as opposed to a few people racing at the same time as singles. Do you??

Katie:: Step Moves is fun choreo but if you want to be a sweaty mess you need to do Athletic Step instead! But to answer your question...YES, something is better then nothing! :) Adventure racing has really caught on...Warrior Dashes, Mud Runs, Spartans...just to name a few and I know there are more! Have you done one before? The Spartan doesn't map out the course for you so it makes it a bit more terrifying  but I trust the PT owner's opinion (along with the willingness of so many of his members to do this crazy crap! LOL) so I'm going for it!

Ok, gotta start thinking about this morning's work out.

Good morning!

Today's workout was SuperCuts. It wasn't that bad really...last time I did it it felt like torture. Maybe I was just having an "on" morning. The pushup/situp combo was still tough. I got through 7 of the 8 rounds (I stop when Cathe stops, no matter how many i've done). I think I sacrificed depth on the pushups for speed, though. Oops! :D It's still a super fun workout, and the time flies. I was going to go to Punch class tomorrow.

Wendy: YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY!!! I'm so excited for you! You've worked so hard to get to this point, and now all that hard work is paying off (literally, lol). I think the dealio with the Studio Owner sounds fantastic. If my boss tells me what to wear, it's a deal breaker. ;) I also googled the Spartan Race and it looks like so. much. fun! Now I want to do one of those along with the Warrior Dash. Um, what do you mean they don't chart out the race course? Do you just run aimlessly and hope for the best? ;) Because I would be lost in 2 seconds flat, lol!

Hi Wiggie!

LMAO at this one, Katie!:D:D:D

Um, what do you mean they don't chart out the race course? Do you just run aimlessly and hope for the best? ;) Because I would be lost in 2 seconds flat, lol!

Smart azz!;):p:)

What I mean is that they don't tell you what the obstacles will be. You have an idea from looking at the website and seeing the kinds of obstacles they use but there is no where you can find EXACTLY what the course you will be on will look like. Ofcourse when you are on it though, you will be shown where to go! :p

Nice job on SuperCuts, Katie! I had that one in the dvd player before I changed my mind and opted for Kettlebell Way Vol 2 Manmakers!

OMG you are just full of 'em today, huh woman?....
If my boss tells me what to wear, it's a deal breaker. ;)
He means there's no uniform and no dress code other then common sense, wisenheimer!:p LOL

Good morning Lovely Ladies!!;)

I apologize for not being more consistent with posting, got a lot going on. Wednesday's workout was Fusion Lower Body & Thursday's workout was Shoulder Shredder. When it comes on she calls it SS & Tricep Triple Threat, it always brings my tri's to failure! I have officially completed the rotation!! I now feel I could complete another one. I'm still leaning toward ZCUT, but whatever I'm doing I will stop when I get Cathe's new ones.

Katie: Super Cuts looks like fun from the clips, if I catch a good deal on it I will probably buy it. Glad you're sleeping better, no sleep= a rough day. Re the pullups, they are not consecutive, I do one then get down, then do another, I keep that up untill I get to 10. I hope one day to be able to do them back to back, though I don't see that happening any time soon.:p I'm glad your cats are ok, what are their names again? IKWYM re Step Moves, I was doing one of the CTX step routines & I wasn't even breathing hard, so I added a riser. I think I'm taller than you so you might not be able to do that.

Wendy: Congrats again on your new gig!!:) It's amazing how quickly this happened for you, you basically had a job before you were even certified, WTG!!:D In the Mud Run there are several activities that require more than one person to complete it, so they require you register as a team. So DD & I have decided to just do the Cooper River Bridge run every year.

Hey Ladies. :)

I wanted to work out today but I ran out of time so it's a rest day instead. Tmrw though, I fully intend to go to the studio and do one of the client's work outs! FUN! :D

Today I went to my nephew's ceremony for successfully earning all of his badges and becoming an Eagle Scout. His older brother did it last year. Pretty cool...:)

Wiggie:: CONGRATS on completing the rotation! What's next? :D Thanks re the job at the studio. I'm very excited! I am hoping it escalates into a full time job at some point in the future! That's my goal and from what I understand, the goal of the studio owner as well b/c he has plans to expand his business! :) I also recently found out that if I refer someone to the studio who signs up for 3 or 12 month membership, I get $150 referral fee! Not a bad deal! :D

Ok, time to play GH with the boys!
BBITAM!!!!

Checking in with my work out for today!

I went to the studio and did one of the Group Training work outs on my own. Good stuff! :)

Hope all of the dads you know are having a great day!

BBITAM!

Happy Monday?

No workout Friday, unplanned rest day. Saturday's workout was Cardio & Weights, I love the chest & abs at the end of that one. I haven't done it in a while, I really enjoyed it. Sunday's was Kickstart from Combat, & workout #6 from Namaste Yoga.

Wendy: I'm thinking of trying a ZCUT rotation, we'll see how long that lasts. Re the referral, talk about incentive!! Get out there & recruit some clients young lady!!:D Congrats to your nephews!!

Hi Katie!!:)

Hi girls!

I also apologize for not checking in consistently. Life has been loony lately. Let's see...Friday was my rest day (as usual). Saturday I did Lower Body Blast. I wasn't as hard as I remember, but i've still got leg DOMS so I must have done something right. ;) Yesterday I did 4DS: warm-up + chest/shoulder/triceps premix + back/bicep premix + abs (about 65 minutes total). I've got minor upper body DOMS; yay for that! Then this morning I switched to cardio and did Tabatacise. I swear it was easier this time. I think the CrossFire/To The Max rotation that I just completed really amped up my cardio capacity. Hey, i'll take it!

Wiggie: Congrats on finishing your rotation!!!!! I LOL at your "happy Monday/confused face" comment. I feel exactly the same way. Excellent workouts this weekend! I also get excited when I see a Namaste Yoga workout. I'm going to take a recovery week soon just so I go do Lastics and Namaste Yoga. I'm still very impressed that you can do pullups. I can't even do one. Not one.:mad::mad: Stupid pullups! ;) Pardon me while I go stomp my feet and throw a temper-tantrum. :D Yeah, i'm a shorty (maybe 5'11" on a good day) so two risers is usually my max.

Wendy: Excellent workouts this weekend! I especially like your Friday WOD. It looks easy on paper, but I bet it was a killer to do! Oohhh I like this referral system! Yay for that! Sorry for being such a smart azz the other day. Oops! I try to keep the smart aleck in me under control most of the time, but sometimes it just wants to fly free! :D Congrats to your nephew! Becoming an Eagle Scout is a tremendous accomplishment. My DH is an Eagle Scout, so I have an idea how much time, effort, and work goes into achieving that goal.

Hello Ladies. :)

This morning was Combat Kickstart for me and later I am participating in the small group training at the studio. From this point forward, I am going to try to work out at the studio 3x per week wether it be on my own or with the group. It should be doable....fingers crossed!

Katie:: So you consider 5'11" SHORT huh? :p:D Nice work outs! Hey, don't stop bein' a wisenheimer on my account! You make me laugh! :) Congrats to your Eagle Scout DH! That's awesome!:D

Wiggie:: Sounds like you and I had the same thought with Combat Kickstart! :) Good luck with your Zcut rotation! You can do it! :D When are you starting? I am tempted to join you!

That's all for now.
BBL!

Good Morning Ladies. :)

So last night I participated in a Group Training Session at the studio with the members. We rocked it! :D

Shortly after I got home I noticed my back starting to stiffen up. By the time I went to roll over in bed during the course of the night I was dying! Note to self: DON'T use weighted gloves for any kickbox style work out if it's the first time you are doing it in a while!!!! Oh the DOMS!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

I was going to party with Zcut work out #1 this morning (thanks for the inspiration, Wiggie!:)) but now I'm not so sure. IDK if my sore back will allow it. I may try it though and see what happens so stay tuned!

BBL!

Ok, I did it! Zcut #1 is done and my back survived! :D

The worst part was foam rolling my back before and after the work out. YEOWCH!

The work out itself really didn't bother it...YAY!:)

Time for a shower and off to work!
BBL!

Howdy!

This morning I did Hard Strikes. Like it, but still don't love it. It's hard on my knees. I modified some of the jumping jacks with front kicks, which helped. I also did two, 100 rep challenges - scarecrows and lateral raises. Now I LOVED both of those!! Boy did I feel the burn. Hopefully my shoulders will be sore tomorrow!!

Wendy: I must have been in a dream state when I posted yesterday that I was 5'11". Yeah right, I wish! Knock off 10 inches and you'll have my real height. When I wear 2-3 inch heels it's like having a whole new view of the world. ;):p It sounds like you had a killer group session at the studio last night. Way to work it!! How's your back feeling this morning? Still stiff? Did the foam roller help? I'm cringing at the thought you using the foam roller on your poor, sore back. I've got medium back DOMS myself..maybe i'll torture myself with the foam roller this evening. Thanks for the inspiration...I think! ;)

Good morning!!;)

Monday's workout was Body Fit 360 by Michelle Dozois. It's a blend of dance, pilates & stretching. It also has cardio & some moves I've never done before. I can see this increasing ones flexibility.

Wendy: Good job on the studio workout & ZCUT #1!! Sorry about your back , hope it continues to mend. This is my recovery week, next week I will start ZCUT. I think you doing it with me will help me stick to it.

Katie: I like the workouts you put together, looks tough!! Good job on Tabatacise, easier huh? That's awesome!! I told you I can do pullups, but I should have said chinups. I can only do one pullup, & it's so hard I don't even try to do another one! So did you mean you're 4'11"?:p

Good Evening Ladies. :)

Katie:: I don't think I've done Hard Strikes in full but I do recall there being a lot of NON kickboxing cardio in it which was disappointing to me. Doesn't make it a bad work out. Just not what I would have preferred. More kickboxing and less "other stuff" would probably also make it more knee friendly for you, huh? Just another reason to purchase Combat! ;) 2-3 inch heels?? Girl! Heels should be 4" in MINIMUM!!!!!:D Back is still sore as heck. I think I will roll it out again tonight before bed though I'm not looking forward to it! It hurts to breathe deep, to cough, etc!

Wiggie:: Well enjoy your recovery week and join me next week! I'll be here Z-cutting and PT Studio'ing away! LOL :p Most of the Z-cut work outs are pretty short but her warm up is crazy long when you consider how short some of her work outs are so I won't be doing that warm up. I will do my warm ups Studio style as I've been doing lately. That will ensure that I have time to do the work out...no excuses! How long is the actual Zcut rotation anyway? 90 days if you do all 3 discs??
