for those who love hardcore extreme

Hi everyone!
I've just this morning tried Hardcore Extreme for the first time - section #1. I'm finding it really hard to switch between moves - like from using the step from Imax3 to the high step in HSC - Maybe it's just because my workout area is on the small side, but the quick change in moves actually got me frustrated enough to stop.
Do you guys pause it between changes? Or just set up before hand with everything if you have a big enough step?
Are the other two segments like this also!?
Thanks for any advice!

I haven't tried Hardcore Extreme yet but I was wondering the same thing about the step. I was wondering if it would work if you just turned the step (if you have enough risers) I have a Body Shaping Step
with 4 risers underneath that I also use as a bench in total body workouts with weights. Just an idea.

I just use my high step for the whole workout - some of the Imax 3 moves are a little wierd on the smaller step, but it's worth it to me to modify them rather that try to switch between steps back and forth. It means I don't have to pause the DVD much while I'm working out.

I like HCE #1 because it's a circuit workout with a little more cardio than usual.

HTH!

I have the club length step w/ two risers as well as a shorter Fitness Quest Step w/ two risers and I just keep that one off the side and when the HSC portions come up I put it on top of my other step, turning both so I face the narrow end. Works fine and the pause is minimal. I find it harder to keep having to switch risers between IMAX 3 and LoMax! It will be easier when I can do IMAX 3 on an 8 inch platform as well (that will be NEVER!)

I have two steps: one the club length and one is a 14-inch, made for me by my DH. I keep that one in front and go to it when I need it.

Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback!

instantblue, I think I will try your idea with using the high step for everything - although I have enough risers to have the step and the high step in place, I just don't have enough ROOM to have them both there where I can use them - I can barely fit the step and have room to do the cardio around it. So before I kept on having to move the step to make room for the high step, and by then, Cathe is on to something completely different!!

High Step Challenge is a pretty quick moving circuit training in itself. I'm really tempted to buy bootcamp - does that move through as quickly?

Thanks guys!

Hi Ruppie,

I'm waiting for HE, but I absolutely love everything about BC. I think that it flows nicely and is a great w/o. You finish the w/o and think wow, the time just flew by!
