For Those Who Followed November's LIS Rotation

lost inches in thigh/butt area

Hello Shelly,

I mostly did the November LIS rotation but fit in 1 high impact workout/week. The greatest results I saw were in my thigh/butt area; lost inches and gained muscle definition in my quads and hamstrings. My proof was in a recent jean shopping experience. I dread pant shopping, since I am a classic pear shape and nothing ever seems to fit me! I was always buying pants in a bigger size so they would fit over my thighs, but the waist was always too big!! Very frustrating  Well, ha ha I got the courage to try on SKINNY JEANS in a size smaller than I usually do, just to see, and OH MY did they ever look good;)
I walked out of the change room like I just won the lottery! I think I even shed a tear. NEVER, EVER in my entire life did I think I would buy tight jeans! Cathe, you are a ROCK STAR!!

I'm wearing a size smaller also! I put on a pair of jeans yesterday and was surprised by how much looser they were in the butt & legs. After so many years of working out, I can't believe I've found something that is working that area so differently. I am mixing Spin Max in with that rotation. Also got on the scale yesterday and am on the low end of my weight range. :D

This is all so motivating to keep up with for the holidays. Could I start 2012 weighing less than I have in a few years?? Love it!

How great! I felt when I did this series the very first week that it was going to be THE SERIES for great results for me. Then, I got a horrible virus the past 5 weeks. :( I'm back at it and loving every minute. I battle my ABS and LB areas the most and just love how much core work there is in all the workouts plus, how deep Cathe gets into the muscles of the LB...how can we love to hurt soooo good? I'm so happy for you're results...go out and ROCK those jeans!!!

Lisa, I promised myself I wasn't going to gain those frumpy, winter inches this year...I think we've found the secret. Now, I just have to work extra hard to catch up since I've been out of commission with my virus...hoping to report back the same results! You're gonna be lookin' good in 2012!!! Go-Goooo!

Thanks so much Debbie! Your words are very sweet.... It's very refreshing to get so much support within this forum.

I am so sorry to hear about your virus. It sucks when you get sick and have to refrain from exercise. Hope you are feeling much better :)

Have a great day!

Thanks so much Natasha! I'm not 100% yet but getting there. It has killed me not being able to do LIS, but I'm gonna rock 'em now! I did Cardio Supersets yesterday and loved all the gliding moves! On the cross country skiing section, I did them in a square....sooo much FUN! Glad no one was watching cuz I think I was smiling BIG! :D

I lost 5 lbs and an inch off my chest, an inch off my waist and an inch off my hips. I ate very clean as well. I am going to do another LIS rotation...my joints are in heaven!

I lost 7 pounds, including 3" gone from the thutt area. And got into six 6 jeans for the first time in years! I plan to do the rotation again in January!

OK, I'll toss in my 2 cents from a different angle here. I chose to do the LIS rotation in November, straight off of long, long, LONG endurance running events....3 marathons, an ultra and a ton of training in between all of it. I wanted to give my joints a break before I kicked it back up in December, but I didn't want to lose my endurance or slide back on my mileage. LIS helped with that goal. I did the LIS rotation as-written, and only added in a VERY short run somewhere during the week and my long run on Saturdays (so some days were double workouts). Finished the rotation, December started, and I began a new training program for a trail marathon on Jan 7 (that is only 6 weeks post-LIS rotation). I'm SUPER HAPPY to report that I lost ZERO endurance and have been able to jump right back into my training program w a 10 miler last weekend and a 16 this past weekend. Oh, and my jeans are a bit looser! :D

If this thread doesn't fire you up, I don't know what will!!!! WOW!!!! I am SUPER motivated by these results! I'm just coming off a serratus/intercostal injury and will be easing back into the LIS series....hope I can really give it my all by Jan 1st!!!!
