Im looking for ideas on what to eat before my am run or cathe workout.

please share what you eat.

thanks a bunch!

Nothing, unless I'm running 10+ miles. I've tried but it makes me feel heavy and weighed down. When I do run long distances, I get up extra early so I have time to "visit the ladies room" after eating, which is usually a small bowl of oatmeal.

I eat poached eggs and fake/veg sausages or a dense porridge (usually buckwheat or oats) with dried fruit and such. If I am short on time I add protein powder, baby's food peas (I know.. I know but it isn't bad and it's digestable protein lol) and a few nuts or something to vegan or sheep's yogurt.
If I don't eat, I get dizzy.

I workout too early to handle food. I've tried to eat beforehand but it just makes me nauseous. I would try something easy on the tummy like a banana or oatmeal, maybe cream of wheat? Good luck with your training too! That's fantastic! Good luck to hubby too.

I like my cardio fasted cause food makes me feel uncomfortable while exercising.

How about apple cut in cubes with few cheddar cheese?
or apple with peanut butter? tea or half tea spoon? boiled egg.
Cottage cheese.

PS---Forgot to add I always start my with lemon juice/hot water drink mixed for cleansing. After
I need my black coffee. Got to have coffee!

Usually I just have early morning tea but if I feel hungry I have 1 slice of toast with cashew butter. I definitely have to keep it light.

I am also one who can not eat before the workout - just upsets my tummy. I workout pretty early, though, so it is just roll out of bed, roll into workout clothes and hit "play". :) I do have my early morning tea with milk that I sip during my workout - doesn't mess with my stomach and I think the milk gives a protein boost.

I have a cup of tea (in bed!) - then up and out to walk the dogs. I have breakfast when I get back (eggs and oats usually), then workout at some point in the morning. I'm lucky that I only need 30 mins or so after eating until I'm good to go. I find liquid, though, sloshes around if I'm doing cardio - so I keep to something solid and just take my water during the workout.

I wake up between 2:30 and 2:45 am and immediately have one half of a piece of toast spread with a tiny bit of peanut butter and 1/2 cup of coffee and soon after that start my workout.

If I feel like I need a jolt of energy I'll have a small slice of a protein bar, like the width/length of my thumb. Super small. I usually have homemade ones available but if not I will take a bite of whatever protein bar my DH has stashed away at the moment.

For me, a bit of quick-burning carbs and protein make the best combo. Fats like PB just sit in my gut and make me feel sick during the workout. Just my personal preference.
