For those who are looking for Ryka Enlight IIs...

I mostly lurk on this forum and haven't posted much, but I'm a big fan of Ryka's Enlight IIs and I know many other people who have posted on this forum are as well, so I wanted to share this. I recently found the Enlight IIs on eBay and they were a really good deal. There are a bunch of Enlight IIs (and other Rykas) for sale by the seller WalkingSue7. I am not associated with her in any way, other than having bought a pair of Rykas from her in the past and having recently purchased a couple pairs of Enlight IIs. I just thought I'd share this since I've had such a difficult time finding them and I haven't found an aerobics shoe I like as much as the Enlight II.

Hi Marilea,

I bought a pair of Rykas from her a month ago, and have been so happy with them! She was also great in handling questions over email, and shipped them out really quickly. I'll definitely buy from her again!

Thanks for the heads-up!

Leanne

Hi Leanne,

I'm glad your enjoying your new Rykas!

I've had the same experience with Sue. She answered all of my questions via e-mail quickly, and she sent me a shipping notice on the Enlight IIs the same day I placed the order. Her customer service really is great!

I only buy my Rykas from WalkingSue. I don't know and I am not affiliated with her but I can tell you she is legit and her service is fantastic.

I bought a pair of Ryka N-gage shoes from her and she was wonderful. I will buy from her again. Maybe soon. Mine are getting worn...Great seller.

Hi Lainie,

Yes, they do run about a 1/2 size larger. I usually wear a 7 1/2, and I went up to an 8 -- and they fit perfectly!

Thank you all for the posts.

I have tried others lately, but my feet completely ache x(

Was trying to go a bit cheaper, but, alas, not worth it. }(

I just want to add that I've bought about 5 pairs of shoes from WalkingSue7 over the last 2 years and have always had a positive experience and fast service.

Hi question about buying these shoes,

Do you bid on them or do the buy it now price?

Hope you don't mind me asking but what did you pay?

Thank you all so much too, I've been looking for these shoes
forever. Brigitte:)

When we discussed this on the forum before, it seemed about evenly split between those who had to go up 1/2 size, and those who kept their regular size. I'm in the latter group. I think it may depend on your individual foot shape. I suggest finding a local store that carries them and trying them on in both sizes. Or order one of each size from www.zappos.com or www.shoes.com , try them on to see which one fits, and return one or both pair(s) (they offer free shipping both ways).

No, I did not bid on them. If I remember correcty, WalkingSue has a store and does not do auctions. (Or she may do both, but I bought from her Ebay store).

Also, I did not have to go up a size with these shoes. I stayed at my normal shoe size and they fit perfectly.

I too have been buying from Sue for years, her service is great & her prices are the best around.

Hi Marilea -

Thanks for sharing! WalkingSue has a pair of Enlight II in my size at a great price. I was wondering if you use these shoes also for weight training legs - like lunges or squats and if you find there is enough support and stability for these activities. Or is this shoe strictly made for aerobics? I've got a pair of Ryka N-Gage Mid Studio and love it as well. thanks! edie

Hi - I have a narrow foot, so I do not like to use the Enlight II's for lunges and squats. I have other Ryka cross trainer's I use for that. I see Cathe using the Enlight IIs for weight work, however.

I love my Rykas and WalkingSue is awesome!

Hi Edie,

I've used both my Ryka Enlight IIs and regular Ryka crosstrainers for weight training, and for me it's about equal. I do think the Enlight IIs have enough support for lunges and squats, if you're looking for a good all-around shoe. I generally keep my Enlight IIs just for aerobics, though, so I can get more mileage out of them :)

As you wear the Enlight II's, please can you tell me how high they come up the ankle? I've got the N-gage studio and quite like the ankle support they give - do you know how the Enlight II's compare to the N-gage?

Thank you!

Emma:)

I've been wanting these for a while. I just got a good commission check, so I sprung for them from Sue this afternoon. Within 2 hours I had a message with a UPS tracking number from Sue, and a message of thanks. Wonderful service.

Hi Emma,

Most of the Enlight IIs come just above the ankle, except for where the actual ankle is--there's a bit of a dip in the shoe then so the top of the shoe doesn't cover the ankle. I don't have the N-gage Studio, so I can't compare to that. I do have the N-gage Instructor, which seems to me to be pretty much the same height with one exception--the N -gage Instructor covers the ankle (which I sometimes find uncomfortable). I think the N-gage Instructor and the Enlight II provide pretty comparable ankle support. From pictures, the N-gage Studio looks like it's comparable in height to the N-gage Instructor. Hopefully someone who has both the Studio and the Enlight II will chime in with more details!
